Piedmon. The most powerful of the Dark Masters. Often considered the leader, though you still aren't sure if you could consider that group actually organized. A Digimon that, under any other circumstances, you wouldn't even consider trying to confront.
You gesture to everyone to split up. Even if only a few of you Digivolve your Digimon, as long as they're Ultimates, you should be capable of holding off your opponent just long enough to make sure as many Digimon as possible get through the portal. You don't know how long those doors are going to be open for, but you're going to make the most of it.
"You know, Myotismon, we all expected you to cut and run at one point or another. But after this long? What's the point?" The clown taunts the vampire.
Myotismon doesn't respond, at first. The Dark Master's attention is still entirely on him, so you suppose it works in terms of buying you time. But a pink glow appears on the other side of the room, and finally, he speaks. "Maybe that was the point."
An arrow flies from the bow of Kari's Digimon, striking Piedmon in the shoulder. The Mega barely flinches, but since Kari's on the opposite side of the room, that means it's safe for you to start Digivolving Biyomon.
"...Ah. So you've found some more DigiDestined friends, is that it? Well... I suppose my collection could always use some expanding." You don't like the sound of that. "Unless you've forgotten what happened last time?"
The clown pulls something out of his pocket. You can't see what it is from here, but it's enough for Myotismon to flinch. "I've never forgotten." Biyomon is Birdramon now, and you gesture for her to take to the sky. She's less likely to be noticed there, and you can slowly inch back to the others, your Digivice flashing red.
"Really? You know, they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and hoping for a different result... but, then, I'm not fully sane, either, so what do I know?" He doesn't seem to care about the Ultimate Level Holy Digimon in front of him.
Then again, given that you were told he was at war with the Sovereigns... that doesn't surprise you all that much.
Piedmon tosses whatever he'd pulled out of his pocket at a nearby Digimon in a blue wizard's outfit. "You. Hold onto them for me, I need to make a point." Before walking in Kari's direction, pulling out something else. Some sort of white sheet.
You don't really know what that is, but something tells you it would be bad if he got to Kari with it. You glance up at the false ceiling. "Now, Garudamon!"
A large burst of fire rains down on Piedmon. He still doesn't particularly seem to care, but he turns to the crowd, eyes alighting on the rest of you. "Oh. I see what you did differently now. You brought more of them. Did you tell them, beforehand, what I did to your friend? You know, I'm not sure the Digital World has enough keys for things I enjoy, I may have to... dispose of a few extras."
Kari's Digimon shoots him again. Still no real reaction. You don't think this was a good idea. "Oh, so that's how we're going to play it, now?"
The crowd near to you moves- you glance backwards, there's still not a lot that have gone through the portal. You wonder if that's not entirely voluntary- and the Digimon Piedmon tossed... whatever it was to emerges.
"We should try and leave now," He tells you. His voice... he was the one making the announcement, earlier. It makes sense. Magic is probably really helpful when you have no intercom system. "If we flee to the Analog World... it is likely that he won't pursue us."
"But my sister's still over there!" Tai points out.
"I know. But the doors will not stay opened forever, and she will likely follow you when she sees that you are leaving. I believe a Digivice is all you need to get her attention?" Izzy immediately pulls his out. You assume that he has it covered.
Still... "It feels wrong, just to leave like this..." You sigh. Above you, Garudamon throws another blast of fire. Piedmon simply steps away before it lands.
"Hm... now, what to do first? I suppose that I should go for quantity first, there's certainly not any quality to be had here. I suppose the standards for DigiDestined have fallen in the past few centuries." Okay, right. You're leaving, because this sort of freaks you out and you really want to be someplace that isn't with a Mega Digimon who has earned a Hazard.
And this is when Myotismon acts. Two red bolts of lightning strike at Piedmon, wrapping themselves around his wrists. Another arrow flies, and it actually makes him wince this time, but given the reload time, you don't think this is going to be that effective.
Clearly, Myotismon doesn't, either. "Digimon of this castle, this is my final order! Take the DigiDestined and go with them to the Analog World. Prepare yourselves, and then return with the power to defeat these threats!"
You might want to leave but this isn't how you'd like to do it. In fact, you actually try to push back against the crowd. But Mimi grabs your hand, and Matt's already pulling Tai, and you think the door might be starting to close, so it's not like you really have much of a choice.
At least everyone whose names you know makes it through the portal. Except for Myotismon. You hear that much, as you're leaving.
"Trump Sword."
So, good news. You're back in your own world.
Bad news. You're at camp. And now you have to explain the presence of all these Digimon. And Joe. And think of how you're going to tell Daigo and the others that their friend is now a keychain.
Some days, it just doesn't pay to get out of bed.
