Im still not sure which to vote for though. On the identity side, being Blunt should be good enough since we dont know the deal is with assuming identity.
I can explain both bits, sort of. Shadows weren't, strictly speaking,
allowed to be people. It's extremely against policy. You're officially property of the earthworks and company equipment and all that.
But to work, you have to think how Naoko does, act how she acts, say the things she does. The hologram you're using now is the same system she used to remote into work, I think I mentioned? So you're wearing her digital body, speaking with her face and voice.
To an outside observer, you could make a good argument that you're Naoko herself, just a copy of her mind that's been kept alive. There isn't a clear line there.
The vote will start determining how you feel about that, if you want to claim Naoko as an identity, distance a bit, or try and carve something new for yourself. To some extent, it also beings to establish if you think of yourself as a person or not.
For specializations, there'll be more votes contributing in the next update, I think, but I can give you a good question. How far do you think surveillance and sensor tech have advanced in a century? What still exists out in the world?
