Look at the bright side, you have a pocket watch nowI'm a bit conflicted on this, on one hand I got us time travel on the other hand I got us cursed.
Don't forget İnsane.Your right, this lets us become the cane wielding sophisticated badass that we all ways wanted to be.
I outright reject this under the simple logic of: the God of Wisdom said otherwise. And when dealing with a whole bundle of unknowns, going against the God of Wisdom is dumb. You guys also needed to specify that you didn't need the gift and could live without it.
I don't see the problem here?I'm a bit conflicted on this, on one hand I got us time travel on the other hand I got us cursed.
Well, when I was writing this, I decided that not everyone would listen to the god of wisdom. Time baby doesn't like us at all, so he doesn't have a reason to listen the god of wisdom.I outright reject this under the simple logic of: the God of Wisdom said otherwise.
On another note, you still haven't actually explained what the All-Seeing-Eye does. You described it as having weaknesses compared to the other versions of eyes, but didn't tell us what it's strengths are ... or even a basic description of its function.
Don't you remember?[yes, give us info...] wins! (Because ım bored of waiting)
Basically the eye gives you basic info about the target.
If you look at a human or faunus, you will see what type of weapon they use, what is their semblance, what type of style they use or what is their thought base(ideology and that type of things). This way you can read your enemy before they move or learn if they're a threat or not.
If you look at a weapon, you will learn how to use it different styles(you will NOT immediatelly learn how to do them, you will just learn how to use them in the best ways.) or how to build them.
If you look at an object, you will learn how to use them(like scrolls or computers)
These type's of things
right, my edit was too late it seems so:Well, when I was writing this, I decided that not everyone would listen to the god of wisdom. Time baby doesn't like us at all, so he doesn't have a reason to listen the god of wisdom.
Yeah it feels more useful in places where we don't have a lot of friends.
Hmmmm, you're actually right on that point. But this is my first quest. I made this specifically to learn where are my wrongs are. So can you help me? Should I rewrite this?right, my edit was too late it seems so:

Beyond that, from a Doylist perspective I'm noticing something distinctly toxic in this quest that you should be wary of. The vast majority of the choices available to the players have either been an endless training montage or a "guess what the GM thinks is the win condition". There's been very little actual buy-in opportunities on the narrative. The closest we've come to that is "pick a moment of slice of life". I'm not sure if that's the best explanation of what I'm seeing but I've got to go
It sounds marginally good in a battle against an unknown enemy, but it feels broken against spies, since we would know their ideologies and allegiance at a glance. Any suspicious people can be discovered, and yeah, we need to *actually do work* to uncover their ploy, but that would be the case with telepathy, since no one's gonna believe we just read the enemy's mind, unless we're willing to have them believe that's our semblance?Hmmmm, you're actually right on that point. But this is my first quest. I made this specifically to learn where are my wrongs are. So can you help me? Should I rewrite this?
What if I add an event every 3 months? Would that be good? What does all of you say? There's been very little actual buy-in opportunities on the narrative. Yeah that could be good. Maybe half year intervals for our early years? (before we train in a school?)What if I add an event every 3 months? Would that be good? What does all of you say?
Eh, don't think it's as big an issue as you make it out to be. Sure the QM has some ideas to certain win conditions but it should be noted that a QM does have a right to decide what certain win conditions are. The main difference I see is that the QM prefers to give us less hints to make it less obvious and have us go with more a write in then outright choices to actually make us think more about a choice. And I think that's fine since not all quests need to follow the same formula's as others do.Beyond that, from a Doylist perspective I'm noticing something distinctly toxic in this quest that you should be wary of. Eh, I think the only real isses were the one at the start with the difficulty thing where the hard mode seemed harder than what the questers assumed but I chalk it up to it being normal that the QM didn't consider that since it was obvious to them. Another is making it seem like there needs to be a very specific way to win as shown with you mentioning that the Eye we picked was the worst choice. Of course it was seen that it wasn't that be since the questers seemed to have surprised you with showing that the eye we picked did have uses that you didn't consider which got us to normal normal mode.Hmmmm, you're actually right on that point. Okay, this is very informative for me. I will try to make a new system that most of you will like. Basically I suggest instead of outright saying that the questers 'screwed' something that they made a sub-optimal choice but that just because we did doesn't mean that we doomed ourselves and that we will just need to be creative to find other solutions with what we got like we did with our all seeing eye which turned out to be more useful than even the QM considered.
Also to avoid the whole training montage thing where people are worried that players have to choose between training and social I suggest just having mandatory training and social actions with one extra actions being what the players decide to use it for. Something like we get 2 training actions and one social action. Basically balance things out.
Finally I would say that no, you should not rewrite the quest. It's perfectly normal for QMs to smooth things out throughout the quest and it would be better to find solutions first instead of just going for a re-write or else you would never get anything done. That and people would likely not be as interested in following if they think a QM is just going to abandon every quest they have. No offense meant to certain QMs.
I mean I'll help as best I can, but no promises!Okay, this is very informative for me. I will try to make a new system that most of you will like. But since this is a quest, will you guys help me on this?
