.... Yeah, in the future, could all votes be put into a Plan format?
like
[X]Random plan
-[X]blah blah
-[X] blah blah blah
so on, so forth
I'm actually finding it a little hard to count the votes properly rn. It's not so much of a problem in the short term, since there's a pretty clear winner, but in the future things are probably gonna get even more messy.

awwww, I was hoping my plan would win :( ah well, I suppose it partially won what with the All 3 option being taken and still having the Just trait

Retinue:
Arc Sword Trainees - 1 Upkeep
These Swordsmen are lightly equipped, and trained in the Arc Family's Sword Techniques. They excel against Grimm and lightly-armored enemies.

Artifacts:
Crocea Mors: The blade of Caeser Arc, who put the Atlas armies to flight time and time again, whose cunning saw even the Mistral Golden Citadel seized by Valish armies. It is an outdated weapon, but a famed one. +2 to Personal Combat Score

Arcdon Manor: The home of the Arc Family, situated atop a hill overlooking the fields. It has been hastily converted into a center of governance, and now it bustles with frenzied activity. Warriors train in the courtyard, couriers run through the halls, and meetings are held in the Grand Hall which will decide the fate of the barony. It is fairly defensible, but it is no fortress. Not yet. The bulk of the Manor is new construction, built after the Great War. However, its crypts and foundations date back beyond written history.

Enables Recruitment of the Militia Unit Line.

Arcdon Barony: The Arc ancestral lands, bordering the sea. It has a humble fishing port, and the outskirts are regularly patrolled. A peaceful place. For the time being. It is primarily an agricultural region, with few industries present.

You sit at the head of the table, village elders, bureaucrats, and the captain of the guard sitting at the table with you. First order of business were the Grimm. You delivered orders to redouble the Grimm patrols at the borders. No doubt the loss of communication with the outside world would inspire panic in the people, and draw Grimm to your walls, and you'd have to be ready for them. Then, the Harbormaster delivers a report from merchants recently arriving and seeking refuge in Arclands, of warlords rising in Vacuo, Atlas, Vale.... A village elder delivers similarly dire news, of nearby settlements falling to Grimm. They were mostly remote villages being overrun, but then it's revealed even a nearby Mistralian colony had been overcome by the tide. The list goes on, and each one makes your spirits sink a little further. You ask the Harbormaster if there is news of your family from any of the travelers. She shakes her head no, a grim expression on her face. The rest of the meeting continues similarly, with more news of chaos and more frantically-arranged solutions.

When the pressing issues are dealt with, the council moves to the general state of Arc lands. All things considered, the people were taking it about as well as could be hoped. The outbreak of crime had been swiftly restrained, and rationing for imported vital goods like medicine had been arranged. The council predicted an influx of refugees from other lands, and a corresponding rise in Grimm Attacks on the roads. But then far more complicated issues emerged. The fields of Arcdon now produced great bounties with nowhere to go. Cutoff from usual avenues of communication, Arcdon Barony could no longer effectively trade with the outside world. The council deliberated on how to solve this, with several options being offered. Perhaps they could develop their own industry? No, said another, they should send guarded trading expeditions to the nearby town. Another suggested using the harbor to send out trade expeditions by water, to avoid banditry. Others argued that re-establishing communication with local population centers took precedence over trade.

But the argument was interrupted when an armored guard burst into the room, shoving the heavy oak doors open with a crash. Panting, he delivered his message. Bandits had been sighted in great force, off in the fields. They had somehow avoided the border patrols, and now seemed to lurk in the forested lands within the Barony. The populace had already been warned, but a solution to the issue had to be arranged before the bandits began raiding the Barony. Two dilemmas faced you...

Da Rules:
Each turn you get Dilemmas, basically the pertinent issues for that turn. These are intended to be how you build up your holdings, good solutions to these Dilemmas result in long-term benefits.

However, you also get 1 Free/Personal Action. This represents Jaune Arc acting independently of his Council. He can either go supervise one of the Dilemma Solutions, improving the chances of success, or he can go do his own thing. Maybe it's building better irrigation, or devising a Deathray, recruiting Units, or going off and confronting the Bandits alone. Being as Jaune is a Spark, Free/Personal Actions are rather... potent.

Now, you also have a Treasury. This represents THE MONIES. You can spend them on 'enhancing' solutions/actions, and improving their chances of giving you something good.

... Oh, yeah. Your Stats modify the rolls for each solution/action, traits both modify your stats AND can offer additional special options, and your Retinue represents the forces assigned to you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Yeah, basically what I would of done, save for a Free Action to get something else done. Jaune's a Spark, let's do some crazy stuff like producing Clanks or creating our own Jaegermonsters. Ooh, can't wait until we get special units, so we can trick out their gear.

I like this idea. Establishing communication, ensuring justice and safeguarding his people is a very Jaune thing to do.

Oh yeah.

I'm going to guess that Jaune's Spark, like his Aura, is going to be super-strong and versatile and The Baron's and Gil's, but with knight-ly and paladin-like themes, right?

Because it seems Jaune's already got several similarities with Gil... Blond aristocrat who can train to be exceptionally strong physically, with great inner power (Aura or Spark), but frequently doesn't apply it properly (Jaune's untrained, while Gil rarely deploys anything other than prototypes), yet are well-mannered, honorable, tactical geniuses who are often see as the Fool by those around them...

So it stands to reason we're going to be like Gil and have a very broadly capable Spark, much like Jaune's Aura and Semblance are broadly capable... just with different stylistic elements - Gilgamesh favored lightning and insectile motifs, but Jaune's probably going to be rocking a knight-like aesthetic.

Creating a good industry early on will help a lot later on.
