Oh.

Yeah, I dunno. Ten ten should just spam weapons at Temari them, but better?
I think I remember a hammerspace armory being one of the Charms a Solar could take, but... well with the single most basic charms available, Tenten could go from chucking a weapon at someone's head to throwing the weapon at a specific point on their face so she could predict which way they would duck/flinch/deflect the weapon and use that.

*Shrug* I'm not actually that familiar with the Thrown charm tree so I couldn't say how that would be more. Much less with the altered system we're using here. For all I know we don't even have the same charms anyway.

If she is able to gain distance, substitute close to her using the weapons all over the battlefield.

Nice to see this is back, I love this quest. Now the voting time. I like the idea of exalted stunts but I can never find a good way to make any myself that still have that poetic, flowy feel that still do what I want. Eh, Lazy Minx's sounds good, I'll go with that.

Oh yeah. Technically you can't Stunt what your enemy will do, period.

On the other hand when you know how they're going to respond to an attack then that's just good strategy.

*Shrug* Again, not the QM, but I don't see a problem with predicting she'll blow away any projectile coming at her at this point, just... it's really not something you're supposed to or usually even can do at all.

Well, I mean, she's free not to, but she'd quickly become a pincushion if she didn't.

Sure. This looks neat, and I like the description of the sub-sub-vote.

The way I see it the way Tenten wins will decide her starting 'flavour' as a Solar. Things like what she uses (weapons, thrown, melee) and how she does it (is she clever? Is she fast? Does she power through everything with force of will?) and other flourishes. So write-ins should keep that in mind.

No clue what exaltation is, but I like Tenten and the prose is strong.

This thread: Watched, with expectation.

Do note I have already posted Tenten's stat sheet :V

It doesn't have to be this time, but some time Tenten should definitely stand on someone's oversized weapon as part of a stunt. As soon as Kakashi set his kids to the tree walking exercise in canon, I was sure at least one of them was going to pull that, probably Sakura making up for physical weakness by being tricky... but no. To the best of my memory it never happened at all. And that's terrible. What kind of super power kung fu wizards don't even stand on an enemy's weapon once or twice? Weaksauce ones, that's who.

e: At least do the thing where she steps on a dropped weapon on the ground and sticks it to her sandal then releases it with a "missed" kick for an unexpected attack

With title being a singular 'Blade', I kinda want Tenten to grab a nearby katana, run straight at Temari and Cut her through the windblasts sent her way.

I will not deny any K6bd influences.

Hey look at this fresh new thread.

Shame if someone were to.

Uchihatize it.

I don't know Exalted I'm a D&D boy so I'll leave this vote to you folks. I'll be back for character interaction. Or shopping. Probably shopping.

-[X] You can feel the way your new strength flexes in your chest, and you want to exult in it. Take advantage of your opponent's shock with the Substitution: it's basic, but the basics are important, and shock value is how shinobi fights are won. Replace yourself with her fan, already twisting to kick her flat in the abdomen, following with a wave of steel to shackle her to the wall, shuriken between her fingers to keep her from making handsigns. Flicker in with your kunai to menace her exposed throat and demand submission.

My primary issue with this is that our anima banner is literally in full blaze with the taking of our Second Breath. Unless we have some seriously impressive smoke bombs, we are not going to be able to pull off stealth in this situation, and besides that, we are a Dawn Caste: sneaking is only so valuable when you can bounce people off of the World's Ceiling. The whole point of being a Dawn Caste is that we solve problems with simple, unrelenting force, imposing our Will on the World in immediate, direct terms. Now obviously we're also trained as a shinobi, so stealth is a tool in our arsenal, but in this moment I cannot see why we would not just...overwhelm her, demand that she acknowledge our strength and struggle.

Okay, imposing our will on the world? How about this then; I call it:

--[x] You were foolish before, leaping and flinging your weapons into the air when faced with a wind-user, dancing to her tune. But you still have your wires, and all your weapons around you; you can make them dance once more. This time, though, take the ground away from your enemy by turning the arena beneath her feet into a whirling maw of metal teeth. The ground will blunt the force of her winds, and taking her footing away will prevent her from getting the leverage she needs to really swing that fan.
--[x] From there, grind her to dust. Your target has one big weapon, which she can't let go of without losing immediately, but you have hundreds of weapons, of every shape and size, which means you can vary your reach at will. Dart in and strike with daggers and kama; strike from angles with scythes and chain sickles; or just run her through with a spear; whatever it takes, whatever she's not expecting at the time. Draw her into your maw and chew her to bits.

Further to this: Temari is literally perfectly equipped for clearing out banks of smoke and attacking whatever's inside them simultaneously. She fights using fuck-off huge gusts filled with razor wind, people! Smoke bombs are a terrible tool to try and use against her.

It sounds like the smoke bomb plan has a couple points of failure.

1. Our anima is showing so bright no amount of smoke will block it
2. Temari's weapon is perfect for attacking through smoke
3. We're blinding ourselves to Temari while she can see our anima clear as day

[X] Plan Grist for the Mill

I was going to vote for Lazy Minx but then as someone above pointed out, as a new Exalted we're sort of all glowy, not just glowy supernatural glowy and no smoke bomb is going to be able to cover it up. The other points made just further cemented me away from the stealth vote.
