Yikes. Hopefully we do figure out how to improve her mental health......maybe the regular food and healing would help a bit at least by blunting a couple of those traumas. Before one of those idiots in the town pokes the dragon too hard and gets splattered.
And despite that, she's still better put together mentally than the canon Shield Hero.

No pressure on Sword of Mars for the next update, but I want to go ahead and start the discussion about what Yukihime should do the next day because voting rounds sometimes start and end before I have a chance to check for updates.
Our options will probably include monsterslaying, recruiting someone to hunt Balloons as the potential start of a business, and training in Spiritual Energy. I don't think that we should go monsterslaying because Yukihime was supposed to take it easy for a couple of days to let the potion work. She also shouldn't risk injury right before going on an important mission. That still leaves recruiting and training though.
We don't know how long the offer of double-payment for Balloons will last, and setting up a business helps Yukihime in the long run by increasing her influence and economic power in the city. It gives her another point in her possible argument with the Bow Hero on how they should go about trying to change the system. On the other hand, it probably means she ends up dealing with more rude people when she really needs a break. If she ends up leaving the city for whatever reason, then she loses access to whatever funds she could have gotten from it, but she'll probably still have generated good will from the people involved in the business.
Spiritual Energy training might be useful on the mission, but is there a chance that she can train this during breaks while traveling? I'm also not sure if there's any potential backlash. It doesn't seem likely, but a number of our choices have backfired on us recently.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure this is the fifth day? It's important to keep track because the Wave is happening at the end of the month God help me, I'm not gonna describe all this in character, because holy shit was I stretching the SoD with her knowing what the other fancy clothes were in the other option and I don't even know the technical terms for this cute ass outfit so I just added the picture because oof.

You were impressed, that was for sure. You didn't expect much, because you weren't much of a looker in your opinion. After you put these clothes on you felt like a completely different person. Hell you sort of looked... Inspirational. You looked like a true hero ready to kick ass... The clash between your scarred body and the bright colors really seal the deal for you, complimenting your ideal against adversity and image you want to project. Your smile was a bit more genuine than you were used to when you looked at Vivian, hell you gave a little twirl.
"I think this is perfect, you did a fucking amazing job." You didn't like swearing in front of children and yes she was a child, compared to you, so innocent protected from true horror but you're not perfect. However you could change that if you wish? Melromarc is one of the most advanced centers of Magic on the continent... Or so it's told, I'm only really skilled in the creation of clothes but there is a large market for upper crust folk who want to protect themselves without walking around in suits of armor everywhere especially after the recent murders... It'll just be really expensive."
You hope she missed your slight grimace when she brought up the 'recent murders', but this was informative. If you could gain the patronage of someone to enhance your clothes so you could reliably go into battle like this without worrying about someone using your outfit against you it'd be worth it simply to continue projecting your 'image'. If you were going to build up a legend you'd need to be memorable. You were also slightly interested in magic. Not enough to abandon your current instruction under William, and to be honest you needed refinement in your fighting style more than magic. But you wonder if Magic that had brought you into this world, could send you back out... Not that you were willing to abandon this plane of existence to its fate, or that you could trust that magic to not send you somewhere else you didn't want to be... More importantly however is that you needed to see if you need to expand your lifespan so you didn't just drop dead before stopping the apocalypse, sure you had maybe five to ten years left but that was a distressingly short time period and you had no idea how many years the waves are gonna take until they stop coming.

You retreat before you could make yourself explode from awkwardness, talking to people your age here was pretty much impossible without feeling like you're missing something fundamental. You hear her yell some sort of goodbye at your back, and you play it cool, you hope. You think you were slowly getting the hang of casual social interaction in this hellworld full of cute killer plants and angry bees. You can't just talk with leftie and righty here, nor can you lay down the law as harsh as you used to... You gotta treat everyone in a mix of how you treated nomads, fellow soldiers, and the traveling merchants aside from being an angry ball of hostility and distrust which is throwing you off. It's weird as hell and it stresses you out but its... Alright, this place is alright. You just gotta smash the fucked up shit and it'd be paradise.
You ignore the impulse to chew on your thumbnail, that'll cause an infection if you're unlucky and that shit's nasty... Thinking about the disgusting slave system here stresses you out but you think you got a good idea of how to fix it in the long term... You gotta replace Aultcray somehow or make him a complete nonfactor in power. Then you gotta either establish yourself as Dictator or somehow otherwise break the power structures that allow Slavery to function and enforce it somehow to stay that way. It'd be simpler if you took absolute control but it'd also cause much turmoil... You'll have to see what the world looks in the future, and how slavery functions in this world. If it's a continental wide phenomenon that would be problematic. This is all for a future time, you were in no position to threaten authority yet... You needed grassroots support and power, you needed to be strong enough to invalidate any attempt to resist your change. You will not permit resistance.
For now, you will allow this eyesore to be in your sight before you crush it... This was the reason you were fighting, the people. The innocents trod upon by their oppressor, those slaughtered by monsters literal and metaphorical... For good kids like Priscilla and Vivian who just want to live peacefully with their craft, the old guard like William who want to teach the younger generation... So kids like Itsuki don't feel trapped and lash out on an uncaring system that brutalizes innocent people. You were ready to return to William... You haven't felt this resolved since you met Saki.

The hat as far as I'm aware is just a floppy hat, IDK the offical name for it.
The top...Blue Tailed Waistcoat? IDK if the puffy shoulders have a special name for them.
The Red puffy-looking shorts I think are called Trunks? They can come so swaddled it's hard to sit in the things, apparently (me, I take it as another emblem of how silly the nobles got in those days.)
The Boots look like some sort of Riding Boots- an older style with fancy stirrups, though maybe not the blingin' spinning wheels of American Western Cowboys.
How does it compare to the two outfits you presented? Well...

While I'd like to work on gathering power, setting up a guild or union right before a mission doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Yukihime can't keep an eye on the new organization or give them advice.

Second day - monsterslaying with William.
Third day - spider hunt.
Fourth day - shopping
Fifth day - More shopping and the King's mission
Sixth day - Spiritual Energy unlocked!

I'm going to vote for the union instead of the adventurer's guild because Yukihime has no idea what the current adventurer's guild is like. How can she advertise her guild as being better than the current one when she doesn't know anything about it?
I'm going with "Businesses United" because Yukihime is on good terms with at least a couple of businesses so that gives her a place to start.
