But in the Macross Island the next step on our journey had arrived. A Super Dimensional Fortress dubbed the SDF-1.
The technology and the power source that made it was called…
ROBOTECH.

I got into anime in the 4th grade, and among the first series i got into was Robotech.
So this is a blast out of the past. I've barely seen anyone use Robotech's continuity for a game; Macross' is the better known (esp because of Fire Bomber). My oldest brother also owns both games that were made for the PS2; Invasion was a sub-par game set during the New Generation saga, but it lovingly nailed the look and tone of a sidestory to the main cast's own plotlines, so anything even remotely like it is enough for me to give it a chance.
Plus, again, motherf'ing Cyclone Veritechs. It's powered armor consisting of a transforming motorcycle, why wouldn't i vote for that?!

Technically I have a few somethings to make it both a side story and somewhat like a series set at the same time, mostly Involving the Shadow Chronicles cast (Hey It wasn't that bad if you think about it, or just do something like this to deal with plot holes)

The Shadow Chronicles OVA was...well, it was tolerable?
It really felt like an incomplete product, even accounting for what was only supposed to be the first installment in a new series. Like if they only did the bare minimum of lore research, never mind tie-in. Barely anything from the Sentinels saga, which should have been a bigger influence and narrative device considering the reinforcement fleet wasn't like Mars or Jupiter Divisions (ie from outlying colonies), but from the Expeditionary Fleet and the Sentinels Alliance themselves. And the Halcyons' betrayal? Hoo, boy, was that going to be a rippling clusterfuck in terms of consequences to the Alliance...
Or the ramifications of the Neutron-S warheads having been authorized for use on Earth! Those all should have been at least acknowledged in-universe, but it's entirely glossed over.
Redo TSC, if nothing else.

Thats the plan if you choose Marcus, give him a backstory, charecter development and fix the plot in a more make sense manner, I will fix TSC on principle as a fan.
Hey I was able to make Evangelion and Deus Ex work together, make Shinji into a badass naturally and still screw him over. I can make the Shadow Chronicles not suck (Even if it isn't that hard with the right writing.)
Also I have limited knowlege of the Sentinals Saga, can you help me with that.

It's a dedicated civ-building game in its own right: managing the Expeditionary Fleet between its brief escorting of early interplanetary colonization and transition to behind-enemy-lines opponent of the Masters' empire, the meeting of other alien species to form the Sentinels Alliance, a three-way war once the Regent and his half of the Invid show up... It's almost mind-boggling in scale.
Man, i didn't even like Marcus, and he had enough of a backstory! His counterpart/version in the last Sentinels book is similarly meh (hilariously, i think that's the one direct EU reference Shadow Chronicles actually made, hahaha).

I am only in the know about the origenal anime thats why.
Either way I'll make him a likable charecter...I think of it as a challange to my abilities, also, I don't know who his canon Family is I don't care (If you can tell me that would be great though) because I have a better story for Him if he is chosen!!

Thank you but I knew that...also I managed to write a bit about his mom at least in my notes, because the Sentinals books didn't have it.
Also I kinda feel for him in the Scott x Marline II, In my mind at least before the last episode, SHE WAS wearing his dead sister's FACE, anyone in his position would be a little pissed about that. Plus the whole Pioneer Expodition kinda shaped his outlook on alien life (He was raised mostly by his gradfather, who is also a Possible PC, and shares a bit of his outlook on alien life as a guy who saw the rain of death)
