Melkor has 40 Power at game start, and his Power actually regenerates slowly. When he invests it into the Earth or into artifacts, however, his maximum Power cap is permanently reduced. This is how he ended up being nearly as physically weak as Fingolfin — he invested his power into the earth, vastly strengthening his armies and leaders at the cost of his own personal might.

Out of curiosity does this mean that lending out Power to our subordinates doesn't decrease our maximum power?
