I've seen Kei writing long enough. Battles are not anime world.

We use a Buster Sword. I'm pretty sure there's a spot early on where she's like, "No, Buster Swords don't make sense, but I'm using anime logic."

The fights are gritty but anime fights, and characters being small but fast, etc, etc is totally believable and fits with, uh, literally everything?

Anime and Wikipedia

I feel unarmed takes longer to kill the enemy compare to daggers plus we can always toss buster sword on anyone who did get close considering the crushing weight.

Oh, so you guys want an option that reduces the quote unquote soldiering but leads to the most about of hilarity?
Not really hilarity, but characterization at least. And taking what the headmistress said to heart by having something not warfare related.

Also please don't type "quote unquote" when you can type in the quotation marks. Saying it is for when you're talking to someone or writing about someone talking.

Oh, so you guys want an option that reduces the quote unquote soldiering but leads to the most about of hilarity?

Edit: Also exchanged Daggers for Unarmed. Will people bite?

The danger is splitting the vote between two versions of the same plan. My suggestion would be, like, talking and getting some of the people active in it on the same page, and then just change "The Littlest Leader" plan. To a certain extent, voting for a Plan also means voting for its changing form if you're not paying attention?

That's kinda just how it goes. You're trusting someone else, which is what a lot of Plan Votes come down to.

If I change the plan from what it currently is to this:

-[ ] Strategy and Logistics
-[ ] Tactics and Command
-[ ] Buster Sword
-[ ] Etiquette
-[ ] Daggers
-[ ] Social Time

Would you all still support it? I hope and pray so, but just let me know!

EDIT: IGNORE THIS POST

I'm fine with changing one buster sword time to daggers.
And the change from Unarmed Combat to Etiquette?

No. I don't like that secondary weapon focus and I liked the martial aspect. I actually don't see what people find so unmartial about the leading plan and would just switch over to it if this plan carried out.

Not that I think the leading plan is very good. Staff and buster together would look ridiculous, sneak is of limited use especially with that new weapon choice, and I prefer tome over staff.

I definitely like this plan.

Not really. I voted for it since I like Unarmed, and want to take Daggers next year. While Ettiquette is useful I actually want Neianne to learn via osmosis from Elizabeth and Sieglinde. I like those kinds of scenes where they're hashing out politics and Elizabeth is ragging on everyone in the room.

With ettiquette classes is eh. There'd be more specific stuff to talk about, but I'm not here for that.

I'm... thinking that it's not the best choice? Like, I get the logic behind the 'Redux' vote, but I think it's less popular than the original flavor, for various reasons. And having it out there increases the risk of dividing the vote.

Very true. I have decided I'm not gonna change it, lmao.

Not to mention that there's a class on Law and Politics, which sounds superior for socializing with nobles. Etiquette seems like it makes Neianne look like a kissass in comparison.

Remember the basics of CQC.

I hope this isn't too obnoxious, but @Spectrum , might I suggest Littlest Leader to you?

See, your plan is as follows:

[] Plan Fist Based Leadership and Networking
-[] Strategy and Logistics
-[] Tactics and Command
-[] Buster Sword

-[] Advanced Unarmed Combatx2
-[] Social Time

Meanwhile, LL is:

[] Plan The Littlest Leader
-[] Strategy and Logistics
-[] Tactics and Command
-[] Buster Swordx2

-[] Advanced Unarmed Combat
-[] Social Time

The only difference is that one of the Unarmed Combats has been transferred to a Buster Sword. But it's otherwise identical, and includes the same weapons and the same two main classes.

So I'd suggest that it's a pretty close fit to your priorities, though of course I understand if you wish to stick to your guns. I specifically was asking you because of the similarities between the plans.

I wake up, get to work, check my quest thread and holy crap four pages while i wasnt looking o_o

I will try to give more time for this vote to be discussed, considered, and voted upon, if only to minimize the effects of strategic voting. This totally has nothing to do with the fact that I also have other commitments I need to take care of, nor the fact that Ace Combat 7 for PC is coming out in two days and you probably won't see me for a while. >_>

What's the logic WRT 'Trade and Commerce.'

Knowing the interactions between the different cities and regions of the nation, to help inform the costs of certain tactics and strategies, to have interesting discussions with Elizabeth and Sieg.
Like, a big part of the big political meetup we attended was "Yo, we are running out of money to cover our war".

Basically what @serra2 said. You're not about to dictate confederate economic and monetary policy, but if "follow the money" holds true as a maxim, then understanding trade and commerce is another form of asymmetrical warfare. Or, at the very least, providing additional context to buying low and selling high.

...Says the QM without an economics degree. T_T

I'm just going to come out and say it; this is a terrible vote and odds are everyone is going to regret it. In the literally hundreds of quests I've participated in not once has a vote with this complex a set of choices and such a profound impact upon our character ever gone well. Not even once.

To make matters worse there isn't even a moratorium on voting so people are already diving head first into votes without discussing them. That alone is a recipe for disaster since once massive flaws are noticed and pointed out it is already too late to stop the bandwagon.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the less I like the vote. There are so many options that most people will likely just bandwagon on whichever was the most recent plan they saw, and everyone is throwing out their own plan as fast as possible to get the bandwagon going.

I am relatively inexperienced in this front - I've only ever written two quests of any appreciable length - so I do apologize for stepping into what you consider to be a common pitfall. I suspect it's too late to arrest the forward momentum here, but I would certainly like to ask what you consider superior alternatives to your concerns. If nothing else, as mentioned, I will try to provide an appreciable amount of time for this vote to be carefully discussed and considered.
