Gotta stick with the classics when it comes to Servant selection! Who needs powerful catalysts or Phantasms when you're best friends with your Servant?

Also, awesome! Can always use more Grail War quests. It's obviously taking place in the Apocrypha timeline, but if there's any hint as to the approximate year, I think I missed it. Presumably some point before the War in Trifas?

It's not quite the Apocrypha timeline, though there's a good deal of similarities. Some of the details go into spoilers for future events, but I might as well use this chance to give you the general overview.

The Third War still had Darnic team up with the nazies, but while they did manage to reach the cave holding the Greater Grail, they were fought off on the finishing line. That final confrontation had a lot of bullshit thrown around and as a result the Grail ceased its functionality, though it wasn't outright destroyed. Both the Einzbern and the Mage Association at large proceeded to tinker around with it and while none of them came to fully understand what they're working with, the Grail has now been restored to a condition where it's conducting the Fourth Holy Grail War.

Similairly, the information that lead to the rise of smaller derivative wars was not leaked by Darnic, but instead gathered during the attempts to repair the Greater Grail.

As for an actual year, it's slightly later then when the war in Trifas would have taken place actually, so early 2010s.

And it looks like we're headed for our first tie. I'm going to keep the votes open for another five hours and, if we don't have a tie breaker by then, flip a coin.

On a slightly different note, I am curious if any of you got any guesses on what Servants the options will actually end up being.

Given there are 'Tohsaka twins' in this universe, having a little sister as a partner kind of makes nice thematic sense to me.

Besides, presumably this is a schrodingers cat situation, where if we don't select the Little Sister, she was never made by Old Man Acht. What kind of a heartless person would condemn such a perfectly specimen of magecraft to a fate of having been never-born? Really, selecting Little Sister is the only moral and ethically correct choice available to us.

That's correct. While a lot of the tempering with the Grail is going to have happened regardless, the sister will only exsist in the timeline she's picked. Mostly because there's enough characters running around in these Grail Wars that I have to limit the amount somewhere.
 
On the topic of Servant guesses, WildCardFool already threw out Achilles and Ajax for Shielder, though I would also guess that Hector could be also qualify. Considering what we've seen of Karisviel's personality though... Achilles might be the most compatible choice? He's the one who literally sat out a battle because Agamemnon insulted him.

No idea where to begin with Compatibility, and while Avenger and Little Sister/Ruler obviously have more limited pools to pick from, I'm still kind of clueless without a catalyst to go off of. Unless we're limited to canon Servants?

The mention of the Ruler system was specifically in the context of how it can use a real body as a host. Not that she'd actually be a Ruler Servant, though in hindsight I can see how mentioning a class would be confusing. I'm not sure how relevant the class was to people's desicion compared to the actual sister part.

It's still kind of awkward to bring up right when the vote closes. So here's how I'm gonna do it. Votes closed to new votes, but if anyone feels like switching over to compatability because of the class information, they get to do so until I actually finish writing the next update.

Ahh. Well, that's fine. I misunderstood, but that wasn't my primary motivation for picking Little Sister anyway.
