Gods of The Old Republic (Godbound X SWTOR)

[X] Remake the Empire. The constant infighting must stop. If the Empire is to survive for any period of time, someone needs to do something. Why not you?
[X] While you are right to an extent, Val, you have not seen the full scope of our new powers.
[X] Leave him. He isn't worth your wrath. And even if he was, his death would just cause undue complications.

[ ] Goals: Understand, or at least gain knowledge* of our powers, if there are others like us (and follow up questions), and other weird stuff related to our powers.
-[ ]*If only there was a way to gain pertinent information by wanting to...
-[ ]As an aside, reforming the sith empire to a more sustainable, a new sith order, if you will, with social mobility that does not require killing your superiors seems nice, now that we're able to look at the situation without the blindings the force put on us.
-[ ] Continue to self actualise and just generally be the best Faust you can be!

@thread can we make spiffy use of our fate/time/knowledge combos to get an upper hand with Zash here? :D

[ ] Goal: Utilise your unique, or at least very rare, abilities to inform your perspective on a hit trilogy of books, title suggestions (and broad themes) below. (Consider using a pesudonym).
-[ ] Where the Force Went Wrong
-[ ] Some More of the Force's Greatest Mistakes
-[ ] What is this "Force" Thing Anyway

[X] Create a New Empire. The Empire and the Republic are becoming relics of the past. The Empire can't be saved, you may cut out the cancer but it can come back deadlier then before. You will create your own Empire and reform the order. You will not settle for another persons failure.

[x] Disgraceful, isn't it? I plan to rectify such things in the future. For now, though, we must lay low.

People, it is NOT feasable for us to become a third side in the Republic vs Empire conflict, as that leaves us with less support than the support we would get by staying with the empire and trying to reform it from the inside. Also, it is a more interesting story for us to reform the Empire rather than become a third side and fight the Republic and the Empire.

Come on people, please vote for reformation as our goal, as it is a better and more interesting goal than trying to become a third faction and attempting to conquer both the Republic and the Empire.

Thinking realistically, I don't think there's room for a third major galactic state. All the key industrial worlds have been snapped up by one side or another, and we have neither the means to wrest them by force or swindle by Color Revolutions. So...

[X] A seat on the Dark Council. All the seats are currently filled, but that can change in a heartbeat. This is the Sith you're talking about.
- This shouldn't really be a question unless we plan to do something else like join the jedi or run off and create our own empire. If we become a member of the Dark Council then we can easily begin accumulating power and resources to subtly but effectively reform and reshape the empire possible get Jadus, Marr, and Malgus. Once we have a substantial powerbase and the majority of the Dark Council and are basically the de facto leader then we can overthrow the Emperor. A simply step by step really.
[X] Disgraceful, isn't it? I plan to rectify such things in the future. For now, though, we must lay low.
- In the days of old the sith would destroy entire planets with a single thought. The sith were many things but at the very least they were proud and cunning people that earned their power. These new fools are simply pathetic waste of flesh.
[X] Leave him. He isn't worth your wrath. And even if he was, his death would just cause undue complications.
- When we kill Zash and become a Sith Lord, Harkon will be forced to work for us. That is all I'm going to say.

Leave Harkon, Add in the House Rules, Remake the Empire, and Middle Ground. Got it. I'll update the character sheet real quick.

Apprenticeship Attained
No.

The emotion that was building up inside of you calms. It does not go away for you have been taught to hold on to those feelings. You will simply put it towards something more worthwhile once Lord Zash takes you as an apprentice.

With no answer coming from you, Harkun finally realizes that there are three of you in the room. His eyes go wide, and he slowly backs up a few steps, "The map! The Dashade…but that means…y-you…"

He soon regains his composure, frowning at you with his hand held out while pointing out the door with the other, "Get that monster out of here this instant! And give me the map."

Khem Val starts to step forward but you hold out a hand and stop him. You glance towards him, "No, Khem. This worm isn't worth it. Now that all his plans have failed there's no need to fear him."

Harkun gets furious, one of his hands going towards his lightsaber, "You filth! You dare to—I will make sure that Lord Zash—"

"'That Lord Zash' what, Harkun?" a smooth, female voice comes from behind you. In no time, a human female in red robes enters the room. She stops at your side with a stance that seems to have so many openings. But when you look closer…

Wisdom Check Passed!

…you see your assumptions are unfounded. Despite her plain appearance, a very large amount of Force energy gathers around her. It lashes out at its environment to find a place to cling to and feed off. This is how she is able to stand with her guard down. This is the power of a Sith Lord.

She looks around the room nonchalantly before focusing on Harkun who steps back with a pale face, "Well, Harkun? What will you ensure I do to this acolyte?

Rather than let the man answer, Lord Zash turns to you, "So you're the only one left then? Where is my map?"

"Here it is, my master," you quickly hand over the dataslate with all the information you downloaded to Zash. She takes it without comment and begins to look it over with a small hint of excitement in her eyes. You notice how she doesn't comment on how you called her "Master", which is good for you.

It doesn't take long for her to finish checking the data and quickly store it away, "Very good, apprentice. Meet me upstairs."

You bow slightly, "As you say." Zash exits the room as quickly as she came in. And with that, you're officially an apprentice to a Sith Lord. With little more than small talk and humiliating your former Overseer, you have risen up the ranks.

Hmm…

You think you're starting to see what Ffon meant when he said he was "expecting more."

Checking one last time to be sure Lord Zash is gone, Harkun regains his original tone and posture, "This is not the end. Without Lord Zash to save you, you're nothing."

"Try saying that when Lord Zash is in the room and I'll be more inclined to believe you," at this point, you're just trying to get back at him for all the abuse.

And it feels good.

His frown deepening, the Overseer continues, "I have connections that will hunt you wherever you go."

"If they're as effective as you were, then they will make my task easier. Possibly even help me accomplish them," you actually hear Val snicker at that one. Gives you a sense of pride in your chest.

Soundly beaten, Harkun turns and dismissively waves at you, "Get out of my sight, slave. Your new master awaits upstairs. And rest assured, I will find Ffon. And when I do, you'll be finished."

You are glad your mask covers your face, as you are sure that when you leave the room you have the biggest grin splitting it from ear to ear. Even though it would give you away, you can't help but feel a smug sense of satisfaction at the thought of Harkun discovering how Ffon is now your follower. It makes you want to laugh if only to give Harkun further humiliation.

You compose yourself before approaching Lord Zash's chambers. Just as you're about to enter, Khem Val grunts to get your attention. You turn towards the beast to listen, considering he's hardly said much since you entered the Academy.

"Lord," he's still having trouble with that. You can still sense the reluctance in his words, "I do not believe you should approach Zash as you are.

When you make a gesture indicating he should elaborate, he points towards his nose, "All Sith, they have a particular smell. A smell of anger, passion, freedom and the Dark Side. You don't smell like that. Zash didn't notice the first time, but second time…"

You nod in understanding. He's talking about your…unique situation regarding the Force. As when you showed Ffon, those who take the time to sense you will be able to tell exactly what is different about you. You have no doubt many of the powerful Sith have already done so the minute you got near the Academy. Lord Zash hasn't because she was preoccupied with the map and the knowledge contained within.

However, this time she is sure to give you her undivided attention. Meaning that she would certainly see your condition when it comes to the Force.

Khem Val is asking if there would be a way to conceal such things from her. You have a few ideas…but whether they work or not is a different story. Not only that, but you'd certainly have to use some of your power to do so. Can you afford to do that here?

[] A simple invention should be enough to conceal your Force Energy. You'll need to get rid of your electroblade to build it though. (Cost 1 Electroblade)
- [] Spend 1 Effort to make it for the scene.
- [] Spend 2 Dominion to make it permanent.

[] The Force may not surround you like others, but you can still control it. You think you could coat yourself in a "Force Cloak" of sorts to ensure she doesn't see anything out of the ordinary.
- [] Spend 2 Effort to make it for the scene.
- [] Spend 2 Dominion to make it permanent.

[] You think you might have a way to explain away what is wrong with you. You can, at least, obtain the knowledge until the end of the meeting. You'll just have to hope she trust what you say. (1 Effort)

[] There's no need to hide what you are from your master. It'll just cause more trouble later down the road.

[] Perhaps there is another way? (Write in…)

Hm, a device could be destroyed or removed. No, better to use a Force cloak.

Also best to make it permanent, the better to hide the secret. Still, if we should so choose, will it be possible to dispel the cloak, briefly or even permanently, to let other Jedi, Sith, or Godbound see something of our true nature and unique relationship with the Force?

Also, what does Faust smell like to Khem Val? I imagine Light-side Sith would also have a distinct smell, one that they also have a means to cloak, lest they be summarily exposed and eliminated.

Yes, you can turn it on or off.

Faust smells like...nothing. Since the Force can't change him through his emotions he doesn't really have a smell. Think it like the smell of water. Water doesn't have a smell, but you can tell when something smells like water.

How interesting. I was given to understand that when Nihilus and Vitiate feed, they leave a gaping void in the Force. Is Faust different? His Force presence or lack thereof, does it feel like an abyss, a void, or something else?

About that Wisdom check regarding Zash, was it such that the lower the roll, the better?

It's...different. I don't want to give away too much yet, and alot of it will be determined by you guys.

For all checks, it's lower than your Attribute.
