An Utterly Thankless Job (Alt. Title: No SV, You Are A Logistics Officer)

[X] Friends with Benefits. Your...reconciliation ended up with a great deal of booze drank on both sides. And when you woke up beside Emil on your bed, you knew that you two have crossed an invisible threshold. And honestly? Neither of you cared about it. You two helped each other through thick and thin. His expertise in political matters and connections helped you while your skill in administration and accounting helped with his atrocious spending habits. Of course, you kept your rivalries with him, in all sorts of things. +1 Reputation Score. +3 Infamy Score. Starts with a Normal Companion Bond with Emil.

Hey, he is handsome, and there is no time like right now to sleep around with handsome boys.

[X] Maybe Friends, Maybe More. After that bit of reconciliation, the both of you formed an inseparable bond, if one that is marred with constant rivalry. You two had become akin to Companions, the consensus among your peers had been. That said, neither you or Emil seems to want to push your relationship more than the constant teasing and rivalry. In part, you know that despite the extreme lenience that the Empire gave to its armed corps, there's still frowns and worse reaction to those in romantic relations with one another in the corps, regardless of Names. You refrained from pushing the subject and so did he. +2 Reputation Score. Starts with a Strained Companion Bond with Emil.

Eh, jumping at the first man we encounter is not for me.

He's cute. Also, I feel like actually having this straight off the bat is a really refreshing narrative decision for most quests. People tend to quaffle and etc.

Also I think the potential dynamic is hilarious. Competitiveness in the bedroom is such a funny idea.

Beyond landing a husbando early, the relationship is far more valuable than the reputation. He's going places and the point of this quest is playing as a support character. We're far more valuable being attached to important people.

I am hoping to be able to get attached to an Alexander the Great equivalent in the future -- he was a great warrior and an even greater strategist and tactician, but supposedly wasn't that great at logistics. He had people for that.

If we get this husbando, can we get a waifu later on too? :V

I will need to iterate that this is a 'simple' vote, and as such, is going to be 'interesting' in a number of ways. Here are two key points that are important.

One, three point of Infamy at start of Quest proper can be dangerous. I would implore you lads to find out what exactly they mean. The Infamy Score may track abstractly, but what narrative effects that may land will vary.

Two, Hertz does not know whether Emil will be posted near her. I do. This is important for "Maybe Friends, Maybe More". While I can assure you that I'm not going to suddenly break the Companionship because neither one could find a way to get close to one another, the distance and duty that you two are performing might hinder attempt to fix your relationship.

Ultimately, this is a hard choice to commit to either way. And to reflect on that, this vote will be open for a duration of 22 more hours from now, rounding up a complete 24 hours since I posted the update. Feel free to ask questions and getting answers to help make your pick, though I reserve the right to not answer questions that Hertz can't answer or unsure of.

Potential typos?
There were times when the verb tense switched from past to present outside of speech/thought. I wasn't sure if this was intentional, so I didn't note them all. If it wasn't, and if you'd like, I can make a list of those.

Many times, this ends up with you at a loss for word
words
(also maybe ends up with you -> ends with you or has ended with you?)

"Does that entail and ends with you impaling me through with your sword?"
entail and end (maybe entail or end would sound better)

Lustrous silvery hair, wrapped in a ponytail and kept lightly swishing despite no wind due to low-maintenance Ides Code
despite there being no wind or despire the lack of wind

red eyes that seems to glow unnaturally due Ides Anomaly from birth
seemed or seem (if you're trying for present tense there)
due to an (if Ides Anomaly is a thing) or due to (if Ides Anomaly is a process/action)

Being next-door neighbour with him, however, tells you
neighbours

managed to get along with him well with him
This portion is grammatically awkward to read, though I get what you mean.

What with the fact that for him, he saw an uppity Two Named tries to copy everything he did
trying (?) or who tried.
Maybe substitute for him with from his perspective?

After several shot of brandy though
shots
