So with the molded by clay conception option does that mean Hippolyta molded Diana first and then later a god came across her or is Diana molded from clay exlusively by the god-figure that wins the vote?

After Hercules freed Prometheus, Prometheus travelled among the various tribes of humanity. Shortly after beginning his travels, he met Hippolyta and they became friends before falling in love.
One day Hippolyta made a request of Prometheus, that he slay Hercules for the crime of having previously enslaved the Amazons. Prometheus, still feeling gratitude for being freed, refused to do so. Hippolyta, in a moment of anger, called upon Zeus and revealed Prometheus location to him. Prometheus fled rather than fight and risk imprisonment again, and the Greek Gods granted the Amazons Themyscira in part as a reward for that betrayal.
Seven months after landing on Themyscira, WonderWoman was born to Hippolyta. Hippolyta concealed the identity of WonderWoman's father out of guilt, because her actions are the reason WonderWoman's father never knew he had a child and did not have the opportunity to be a parent to her.
After Hippolyta's anger passed she understood why Prometheus would not kill Hercules, and she became filled with regret. The Queen of the Amazons was always greatly tempted by the thought of searching for, and reuniting with, Prometheus. But to abandon her people for the hope of finding her love would break her vows to rule to the best of her ability, and that she could not do.
One (unmentioned) reason Hippolyta permitted WonderWoman to depart Paradise Island for the world of men is the possibility of a father-daughter meeting.

Might have to tweak backstory a bit to account for story, but theme will be the same :)
