  • [X] Get BlackGatomon to do it. She'll have to wait until night to be most effective, but odds are they'll never know she was there.
[X] Do it yourself. Clearly, these idiots can't be trusted to do things alone.
[X] Send both Izzy and Mimi. They can cover each other's blind spots, it'll be fine!

Okay, so setting aside the bundle of trauma that is Maki Himekawa for the time being...

You're going to actually leave this job to the professionals. You miss out on the chance for exp, but you've got a better shot at actually making it.

So Maybe You Should Have Been There to Make That Roll
The hardest part about this operation is the waiting. Because you're well aware that flashes as Black Gears are exorcised using Digivices aren't exactly the picture of stealth, and BlackGatomon actually knows what she's doing, which is something that can only be applied to you when it comes to things that can be fixed by flying.

Not a lot of things can be fixed by flying. But plenty of stealth-based missions can be completed just by sending in the black cat in near total darkness.
(BlackGatomon's Stealth total: Yes)
"I'm still not sure this is a good idea," Lunamon murmurs. "We don't have any backup or anything, after all."

Which is true. The communication team hasn't showed up at all in the past day. You assume either they got really lost, or Tai got really lost with the combat team and they're just chasing after him.

"I'm sure it'll be fine," Palmon reassures her, leaning back against a rock. "I mean, what's the worst that could happen?"
(Avoid Bad Things: 8)
This is about the time you hear a large amount of squawking. You all turn in the general direction of the flock to see BlackGatomon sprint back like she was being chased by an Ultimate.

"I found Leomon and Ogremon!" She reports. "They've got Gears in them, though the Akatorimon don't. They're slaughtering them!"

Well, on the bright side, you've technically completed your group's part of the mission objective. Technically speaking, you should wait for another team to get back to fix the problem, but... they're on the other side of the savanna. How did you get this badly separated?

Which is a problem. The combat team has all the best fighters, and communication can put up a good fight. You have a lower-end Champion, three potential fusees, Birdramon, and a pair of Rookies.

You just have no luck today, do you?

[ ] Try to get to one of the other teams. They're probably better equipped for this stuff than you.
-[ ] Combat team
--[ ] Using Birdramon
--[ ] Without Birdramon
-[ ] Comms team
--[ ] Using Birdramon
--[ ] Without Birdramon

[ ] Just try to get away in general. You're clearly not equipped for this.

[ ] You've got Digivices! That should work, right!?

[ ] Lekismon can make others fall asleep. That should, theoretically, fix the problem.

- [X] Have your Digivices at the ready, even if the two aren't put all the way out, they may be slowed down enough for you three to take care of the Gears.
Tai got really lost with the combat team and they're just chasing after him
Preemptive Goddamit Tai

[x] Have Birdramon be the distraction, Once Leomon's and Ogremon's attention is on her, have Lekismon take them by surprise and make them asleep.

I'm a bit tempted to also send Blackgatomon to search for help, but by the time she found anyone else the battle would be finished anyway so there is really no point in doing it.

...i wonder if it would be possible to Have Izzy study a Black Gear. Problem is, how does one contain them safely?

On a second note, we should ask him if he ever tried to study the digivice themselves. If there is someone in our group who can discover more of their functions it's him.

As much as I'd rather run and get the other teams, they're so far off that it's unfeasible. I'm going with Pittauro's plan.

Okay, so I think my internet's back... and I've managed to drag myself away from EOV...

Now to get this over with so I can go back to turning my shaman into an offensive powerhouse... okay, I think I may be a little addicted...

So, You Now Have a Decent Point of Comparison
"They haven't seen us yet," Izzy notes. You nod. Of course, the key word there is yet. And even if you could avoid notice for the foreseeable future, that still leaves the Akatorimon.

"Lunamon, Lopmon, SnowAgumon..." You start, but they're already moving to fuse, a brilliant flash of light before Lekismon makes an appearance, leaping away over the rocks. "...Right. Biyomon, do you think you could help out?"

"What do you need me to do?"

"Run a distraction," You tell her. "Just because they haven't seen us yet doesn't mean that the giant white rabbit isn't going to set off any alarm bells."

"Got it!" She flies away, her pink shape being replaced by the massive form of Birdramon as she does so.

"Do you think we should have our Digivices out?" Mimi suggests.

"That does sound like a good idea," Izzy agrees. "While I'm sure that Lekismon has decent enough aim, it's probably best to stick with what we know works."

You're pretty sure that they've got the right idea, so you take out your Digivice as well. Hopefully, you won't be getting too close to the rampaging Digimon, at least while they're doing so, but just in case.

The three of you, followed by BlackGatomon, Palmon, and Tentomon, approach the fight as slowly as you can, none of you particularly wanting to do so, but feeling that you have to out of a sense of responsibility. And if there's anything you are, it's responsible.

You should probably have gone faster. As it is, Birdramon and Lekismon are fighting at a disadvantage, if only because the rampaging Leomon and Ogremon's actions have the Akatorimon awake and rather confused.

"I'm not getting involved in this," BlackGatomon states after taking one look at the proceedings. Honestly, you can't really blame her. You'd rather be just about anywhere else yourself.

"Well, someone has to!" Mimi points out. "Palmon, go and help! I don't care how, just do something!"

Izzy has his laptop out- seriously, how!?- and is typing away. "Tentomon, I don't really feel comfortable about this situation, but it doesn't look like we have much choice. So I might as well give you a little edge!"

You glance at Mimi as Tentomon starts glowing. "Did he just find the program for Digivolution?"

"I know you said this world is made of data, but that scares me."

"Good. You'll probably live longer," Your redheaded friend mutters. "Go get them, Kabuterimon!"

"Hey, wait for me!" Palmon calls, jumping after the insect and right into the battle, somehow turning into a cactus as she does so. You know it makes just as much sense as a radish turning into a bird, or a guinea pig becoming an angel, but no matter how much you think you know about the Digital World... something always happens to surprise you.

[ ] Focus on the Akatorimon. They might be less malicious, but they're certainly more dangerous.

[ ] Focus on Leomon. That sword looks mighty sharp...

[ ] Focus on Ogremon. Just to avoid getting hit by a club later.

[ ] Don't focus on anyone. It's basically a three-sided war, now.

[X] Focus on Ogremon. Just to avoid getting hit by a club later.

it scare me a bit as well. I can think of some precedents in the various digimon series, but Izzy is probably the one to achieve something like this in the shortest time with the least amount of resources.

[x] Focus on Leomon. That sword looks mighty sharp...

no strong preference here, but Leomon is Leomon

[X] Focus on Ogremon. Just to avoid getting hit by a club later.

Ogremon can hold his rival at a stalemate, especially when Leomon isn't operating at 100%. That'll give us a chance to work on the Akatorimon.

Honestly, it's a toss-up for me between Leomon and Ogremon, but I just like Leomon a bit more. Poor Sacrificial Leomon.
