Probably should've pulled her aside and asked her not to murder shareholder Before the fight if at all possible. Well hindsight is 20/20 might have to ask her to tone down the killing from here on out though.

Really this was kind of the best thing that could happen. No one was going to believe us in a he said she said debate and with her and her second out of commission it should be possible to search her ship for some kind of evidence before the shit hits a trial back in our space.

If we have any pull left with The spy organization now would be the time to use it.
 
I'd like to not go with Parole because it conflicts with our earlier understanding. If Arslan are traitors, and they have rebelled against her Majesty, then why the parole? Traitors have no rights, traitors resisting arrest even less so. What happened to the Arslan heir was just good riddance.

I'm with Satar here. If Arslan was a traitor resisting arrest, we don't soften the blow by locking up the heroic Ranca.

Also, loyalty to those loyal to us is never a bad policy.

[X] Parole Ranca. Whilst she has technically committed a crime, Ranca is a serving officer and you need her. Have her on parole and 'confined to the ship', not that this will be an issue.

I have not completely set it in stone, but I figure if you roll high enough to outright kill somebody in a duel situation and do not want them to die then you can probably try a fairly difficult Prowess roll to turn your blade and keep them alive. But Ranca likes killing people and one implication of having her fight for you is that she will indulge in recreational murder.

We're really going to have to get Ranca to ease off on killing people in duels. On the other had the blades they seem to use in these duels seem to be the equivalent of Warhammer 40K power swords which cut through power armour with little resistance.

@Chaeronea that is pretty much it, though they are a lot less rare than power swords in comparison, basically everyone has a bayonet with a similar effect and every random junior officer has a full blown sword.

They get used because the powered armour worn by Imperial officers is essentially immune to anything short of anti tank weapons and tends to get ablated by them. Marines wear powered armour and wield 50kg/110lbs Gauss cannon, those are unable to penetrate said armour, though they can blind or damage it with lucky and sustained fire.

I was hoping this wouldn't happen, Ranca already has a bad rep so it's either sacrifice her or go all the way and risk igniting an imperial civil war with House Arslan.

Might as well strike the match and play chicken with Arslan, they have everything to loose, we are just a jumped up commoner.

Wonder how far we could climb up the smoking ruin of the remains of a once great house.
