[X] Ask if she's comfortable. If there's anything that could make her feel more relaxed, she can and should let you know.

[X] You've passed any point of plausible deniability. Pull her up and give her a big hug.
-[X] If you squeeze right that sports bra will come off. She needs to be more comfortable, and it'll immunize you eventually.

Well see I've tried that one, and then the author notices a little bobblehead that says "boobs" and then we're fucked. Managing a mildly psychopathic man-child is the name of the game, not actually trying to solve issues.

We save that for when sane people are in charge.

Have a bit of faith. The author can see which option actually tries to solve an issue and reward for it.

"We pull triggers, that's our job. You—" she poked you in the chest. "—keep us in shape to do that. That's your job, right?"
Hannah seems more on top of this concept than 'we' do, sometimes. Good, no nonsense girl.
You distinctly remember her wearing something lacier earlier. You couldn't see more than gross details about her current underthings, but they were clearly not the lace from earlier. More a solid black tomb encasing her titties like a casemate bunker of boobies.
Uh oh. She was more comfortable earlier. She could even have been possibly making ready for a little 'exposure'. This is a reversion to 'I hate my chest' and is not a good thing. Boob jokes are one thing, but right now this is insecurity and body shame, not things she needs right now. We seriously need to make her feel better and more comfortable about herself.
Instead of hoping something happens by accident, we can just talk to her. Make sure she's comfortable and at ease with herself, because she's very stressed and uncomfortable right now and needs to relax.
Bingo.

[X] "Marie, I can tell you're not really comfortable. You don't have to constrict yourself like that. Get comfortable. I won't... I won't avoid staring if that makes you feel ashamed of how you look."
-[X] No jokes about 'set them free'. Straight talk about her being comfortable and yes, us even liking how she looks. We err too much on not looking at her, so much she feels bad about it.

Oh, good, a serious option I like. Vote changed.

Isn't this basically the same as -

" Ask if she's comfortable. If there's anything that could make her feel more relaxed, she can and should let you know. "

- but just with a bit more specific language?

It's similar I think, but I like how this gets it across better.

Have we been reading the same quest, and should the answer be "yes" I would like citations on where 'the right thing' has ever been rewarded- and considering the sanity-o-meter, gratuitous T&A doesn't count.

I hate to give the game up early, but while I agree with your idea I disagree with your method. Marie has, for quite possibly ages, been in the position where she cannot look good and feel good at the same time. We're both familiar with this problem, albiet from different endpoints: your wife resembles Marie in the physical area (boobs for days) while my girlfriend has the mental issues via being shy and insecure with her body. If there's one thing I've learned dealing with her, its that actions speak louder than words. Good fitting clothes are a good example, since they're requisite of knowing your own body, and being honest as to how it works in different situations. If you're insecure, you tend towards one fit and style and stay with it. This could be a sports bra and cammies, old flannel and cargo pants, or even a full press. Breaking out of this loop is hard, because you need to become more comfortable with yourself and how other people see you.

Marie is probably the lone duck out here, and frankly there's not much we can do to change that short of hanging a set of fake tits on everyone else one day as a gag joke. What we can do, though, is show her we're ok with what she is and has. Not tell. Words have power, but words can be cheap. Growing up with old vets and stammering oxygen wastes, Marie will be used to words being cheap without action. I say we cut to the chase and act.

Thank God we have saneish people on this thread I was about ready to go "GET YOUR HAZMAT SUITS READY! CONTAINMENT IS ABOUTT TO BE BEACHE! I REPEAT CONTAINMENT IS ABOUT TO BE BREACHED'

Wait a minute... CONTAIMENT REALLY IS ABOUT TO BE BREACHED! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

He could but usually doesn't. Jmpr does Jmpr things, the rest of us just face palm.

Oh, Marie, you sweet cinnamon roll.
"We're all changing out there," said Hannah. "So don't come in or… you'll probably die of bloodloss or something."
Good thing there's one in the group who understands Ryan.
That point was on... like... page 2...
Hmmm...
Hmmm!
Hmmm?

Nah.
Slight misnomer: Odin and Freya each pick their respective warriors for their halls. 50/50 split.
*While each holding one of Ryan's arms and pulling*
Odin: "Mine!"
Freya: "No, mine!"
He could but usually doesn't. Jmpr does Jmpr things, the rest of us just face palm.
I'd have that framed on a wall.

Part 95: Cinnamon Roll

Part 95: Cinnamon Roll

You put your hand on the crook of Marie's waist. Her figure wasn't quite as absurd as Riley's, but her hips were certainly something to write home about and her soft skin swooped towards her narrow waist like a falcon in a power-dive. Now that you think about it, 'soft' really was the word that captured her, almost uniquely so.

Riley was kind and she smelled nice, but her figure was too lean to really be soft. If you touched her like this you'd be able to feel the dense corded muscle along her flank. Marie wasn't like that. She was… not fat, but she had larger reserves of softness than any of the other girls. She was strong of course, but that strength was shrouded with a delightful frosting of feminine softness.

All you could feel with your hand on the smallest part of her waist was the slight squish of her warm skin and a few faint hints of the muscle beneath. And then it came to the boobs pressing against your thigh. Or rather, the painfully tight sports-bra entombing them. You weren't an expert on the subject, but there was no way that was comfortable.

"Marie," you said, finding it hard to resit the urge to gently stroke at her flank. "You comfy?"

"Hmm?" She looked at you, slowly hauling herself up to sit next to you. She rested her head on your shoulder, her breasts sagging just so against your chest so the fabric of her shirt kissed yours. Your hand stayed on her waist, which seemed to make her happy though. "I'm cuddling my major, why wouldn't I be?"

You gave her a look, gently sliding your hand up and down her side. You could tell just where the band of her bra was. Not only did the heavy elasticized fabric feel different under her shirt, there was some very noticeable skindentation where it squeezed down around her to keep her jiggles under control. "Marie?"

"Hmm?" She looked at you, eyes big and blue and cheeks flush with a smile.

You sighed. "Marie, why are you wearing that—" you motioned to the black undergarment visible through the white fabric of her shirt. "—to bed?"

"Oh," She glanced down and blushed. "Um…" She hung her head. "They're so big. Too big, really." She bit her lip and tried to bury her face in your shoulder. "They get in the way sometimes and… I just…" she looked back up at you. "This is just such a treat, I didn't wanna make you… I mean, they flop around and you shouldn't have to worry about that too."

You shook your head. "No, Marie, I'm here for you girls," you said. "And I can tell you're really not comfortable."

"It's nothing," she mumbled hastily.

"No," you said, tightening your grip to pull her into a side hug. "It's not nothing. You're not comfortable and you don't need to constrict yourself like that."

Marie shook her head. "It's my combat gear, I wear this all the time."

"You also hump a thousand rounds of belted ammo," you said, patting her belly because it seemed like the right thing to do. "You don't wear that to bed, do you?" It worried you that you weren't entirely certain of the answer.

"No," admitted Marie. "But I don't normally spend the night with you."

You sighed. "Marie, I want you to get comfortable," you said, giving her another little side-hug. "I won't… if you'd like, I won't avoid staring, if that'd make you feel better."

"You really wouldn't mind?" asked Marie, starting to squirm out of your grasp so she could change. "I'll be right back," she said, padding barefoot towards the door.

>Quick, before she leaves, wat do?
>How treat the Marie once she's changed?

I thought we were trying to tell her that her breasts weren't ugly. Won't that necessitate us... looking at her chest?

Also, the way you put that just tickles me.

Yeah, and she's worried about her chest influencing what we think of her, ergo we show her that we apreciate her with or without it. Besides, it's tacfus- we'll fail and look into her chest eventually.

If that's your intent, then 'accidental' bra removal doesn't seem all that clear.

Maybe he should just tell her to get comfortable and take it off. Mention it directly. Ryan should also make clear that he likes her chest, she should not be ashamed, and the only reason he tried to avoid looking before was because he didn't want to define her by that either. He probably over compensated and made it seem like he didn't like them and that she should feel the same, but that's not what he meant.

[] Be upfront. You can tell she's uncomfortable. She should do what she needs to get comfortable, if that means removing her bra then by all means. Tell Marie she shouldn't feel ashamed or dislike her chest, it's part of the amazing woman she is. Personally, you like them. And if you tried to avoid looking before it was only because, as nice as they are, you didn't want her to think that feature was all you thought of her. It wasn't out of dislike or disgust, but if doing so made her feel that way you're sorry as that was not intended. You'll try to do better in supporting her and encouraging confidence in all parts of herself from now on.

Well...I'll keep working on that to shorten it.

Edit: woops, didn't notice the update. That's what I get for working on a post on my phone over a long time.
