Hmm... Apprentice of the South sounds REALLY good, but Social Butterfly could pay huge dividends further down the road by basically doubling relationship growth from now on. Though, I'm not entirely clear on what that actually accomplishes? Think I need to check the rules again.

EDIT:

When two characters meet, they gain a relationship stat with each other, ranging from -100 to 100. This stat can be raised by being nice to each other, or lowered by infighting.

Characters with low relationships will argue a lot. They will receive penalties when trying to fight alongside each other, and a relationship of -50 or less increases the chance of uncontrolled Dark Digivolution to 5 or less while doing so, while increasing the Trigger DC to 17.

Characters with a -100 relationship have a 50% chance of being pulled into the Dark Ocean at the conclusion of each segment. They will reappear either on completion of one of several questlines with adjusted relationship or two segments later with relationship reset to 0. A PC pulled into the Dark Ocean will be released either upon making up with the other character, or upon fulfilling certain conditions, from which point the game will proceed as normal.

Positive relationships, however, give hefty bonuses to fighting together. A minimum relationship of 70 is required to DNA Digivolve. Fighting alongside someone with relationship 100 will
double the Digimon's stats.

Ooh hoo hoo, yes PLEASE. Though, "all changes in relationship" presumably works both ways, so let's be careful.

[X] Social Butterfly: Making friends is easy. Keeping them, even easier! (+5 CHA. All changes in relationship are doubled.)

Unfortunately, I don't think Apprentice of the South will be available later... maybe we SHOULD put this off, since Social Butterfly probably will be? Any opinions?

and now it's finally time for the Digital World!

about the traits, let's try to guess what are the disadvantages...

Healthy: maybe a malus in caring for sick people as we have trouble understanding how they feel?

Apprentice of the South: malus in the northern emisphere/malus to combat in closed spaces/underground?

Social Butterfly: maybe a malus in dealing with enemies/those who don't like us?

+70 relationship: dna digivolution unlocked

+100 great boost to combat when fighting together (don't remember by how much, but i think it's in the rules

Though, given the circumstances, that's not as surprising as it should be."
Well, that's not ominous...

We may not be Mimi, but that's no reason not to pump up our Charisma to be able to keep things together when we do get to the digital world.

I want to vote for Social Butterfly. But a +15 to all rolls whilst we are inside the Southern Hemisphere in the digital world could be helpful. I mean, that'd be +20 to Diplomacy in the south of Digiworld. Not to mention the modifiers other skill based rolls would have in the south would get too.

The biggest problem is I don't know if we hang around with the southern hempisphere that much while in Digiworld.

It's more that the place is divided into quadrents I think. Rather than hemispheres. @SeekerofDreams how exactly is the Digital world divided up between the Sovereigns?
Well, canonically, it's somehow divided into quadrants. Somehow. Which makes no sense. So in this, it's hemispheres, with each section of the DigiWorld having two Sovereigns ruling over it, for the sake of sanity. A lot of things had to be tweaked for the sake of sanity.

So do we spend much time in the Southern Hemisphere? Or do we actively have to go there?

Okay, my full vote as things stand:

Like I said before, we want to even out our WIL and WIS before we get to digi-world (which is imminent) in order to get the max effect of their multiplied product, and thus maximize the amount of time Biyomon can stay digivolved. This is especially important if she's going to be flying us around to places, since her spontaneously de-digivolving mid-flight would be... not great.

As for the point of CON, since it's the end of the segment I think we're about to roll for sickness, if I have that right? Yeah, let's try and avoid that.

Reminder that Birdramon takes d12 digisoul per turn of Digivolution. Upon the distributed stat points from leveling up, we will have 360 Digisoul. Meaning that Birdramon stays Birdramon for at least 30 turns.

[x] Apprentice of the South: Kazuya Matsumoto, partner to Zhuqiaomon, has taught you a great deal in the past few years. Some of it may even be applicable to your current situation! (+2 CON, +3 DEX. +15 to all rolls in southern hemisphere of Digiworld, +10 to aerial combat elsewhere.)

File Island and the more forested areas of Server are in the south. The desert where the Etemon arc takes place is more to the north. Spiral Mountain will actually be divided into quadrants, with Machinedramon having the 'south' area.
Alright then. With that information in hand...

For those wondering why we should go for Apprentice of the South, due to being on File Island and it's Southern location all rolls gaining +15 along with the skills we have that relate to the rolls? Our chances of auto passing go up highly. This is good in pretty much any situation in File Island. Sure most of the benefits leave once we get to Etemon we'll lose most of the benefits but that's a bridge for later. For now, an easy trip through File Island is much more important.

We got Angemon early, so File Island is not going to be QUITE such a big deal. Its everything after.
