I don't actually agree, but there is a, "Wash away your sins/baptism" angle.

But, uh. This is a fantasy world, so I'm pretty sure that Judeo-Christian beliefs aren't a thing.

Yeah...

I think "history" is the best fit. The only detail it doesn't perfectly match is the "worshipped" bit, but, well, you could make a pretty good argument for history being an object of worship.

Well, assuming the Tanin practiced a baptismal ritual, sure.

[X] Try to trick Makram into solving it by playing on his ego. It's clear the only thing he loves more than putting people down is puffing himself up, and you're such an easy target he might just take the bare hook, let alone bait.

True genius.

Can someone explain the rationale of how water carries away your sins to me?

Response to Leila:
There is also the Hinduism angle so it's not a concept restricted to one actual religion either.

Er, pretty sure it's earth, not water.
- Tectonic shifts can devour mountains
- Earthquakes raze cities and kill people
- Dead people are buried - taking in sin but it also remains below the ground
- Eldingar wouldn't get the context BECAUSE HE FLIES.

Also people compulsively scrubbing themselves after they've gotten splattered with blood from an act of violence.

Bet you fifty florins that the point of the riddle-lock is to reveal something about the person answering, rather than wait for a particular passcode.

So far things seems to be pointing towards Water but my gut feeling says Conquest/War is good.

*Comes back to say something about how I was wrong, and the answer is actually probably 'Time', then reads Leila's comment on 'history'.* Damn, I thought I was so insightful!

Anyway, love how Makram and Eldingar are such snobs about the riddle here. I found it funny and mildly appealing (because I'm a bit of a snob).

I'm going to try bribing my sister with chocolate tomorrow and see how that goes.
Turned out, sister raided my stash the day before and now I have no chocolate. Talked her into modeling anyway.
ok, so that last one isn't great quality. But I'm so proud though. Chewed it over for the better part of four hours trying to make his clothes work. I hope this is good Zerban. If this design's good, I'll get started working on a fullbody tomorrow.

I saw a man who is definitely just an ordinary mundane human man person and he was so beautiful I started crying.

Here I was copying one of T'Challa's royal outfits but cheaper-looking in my head and you go and put the work in. As always you are a treasure and I will put these in their proper places right away.
