Asking random people if they've seen a girl who could be just about anywhere in the city seems like a horribly inefficient way of actually looking for her. Just rolling around town on a bus with Clairvoyance wide open would be better, if Fujino was fine with that.

Buuuut well, protagonists and plot trumps the common sense of man.

Or Fujino is just very genre savvy. Clairvoyance can also do that, probably.

Mainly because Fujino is in the loop enough to realise that if something weird is happening, then its likely she and those close to her are getting dragged in one way or another.
