My intention was to go Templar or battle-priest.
Plus when I say smite the foes from a distance, I mean to simply use our offensive spells from a distance as if we were artillery.
One of the Sun Elves, who possess a connection to Light Magic along with great strength and endurance, and a Cleric as well? A understandable combination, yet oddly rare. There a many Paladins from this race, true, but too few are true priests who spread the word of the Gods. A shame truly, for they would make some of the greatest healers in all of Veruta. Still, a fine choice Fate seems to have made, though that raises the question, to which God this Hero favors?
There are many Gods in Veruta, especially in the far east where there is a Deity or "Kami" for nearly everything. However, the Gods that concern our Hero are those of the western kingdoms and their "Alliance". As a Sun Elf, he would certainly possess an affinity towards Mwaltyrr, God of The Sun and Father of The Sun Elves.
Though that is simply a suggestion, In truth, any of the six Gods within the Pantheon would work.

We need a mage, a mage is very good for AOE and other magic related problems. Though we would need a thief for all the looting we will be doing,
