Being the Holy Grail is Suffering... [Worm/FSN Quest]

[X] Don't make him a Master

I think it is time to find villain or some disturbed people after this one.

I agree that after this we go for some actual villains but I don't see why we can't make Theo a Master too? He'd only be our third, so four villains against two heroes and Theo somewhere in the middle is alright to me.

I'm really not sure why you even bother instituding a vote for these actions.

Regardless, I picked this up on a whim and am loving every moment of it! The silliness is great, of course, but I also love the surprisingly deep characterization of worm's incredibly dense cast. I can't wait to see who we'll run into next! Or if we'll find out whether poor Talyor still has a mind, much less a sane one!

I prefer rogues rather than villains here. Looking at the choices, we still have ABB, Merchants, Faultline, Undersiders, and several other rogue capes. Also dont forget Amy. Most of them are more rogue than villain.

If its the ABB, I would prefer Oni Lee to be the master. His kinda a blank here and it would make some interesting situations. He might have a souchirou/medea kind of relationship with his servant. Perhaps summoning Altera, due to how compatible they are. He might even be influence by servants like Gilgamesh. Fun options.

Merchants, well, um, pass.

Faultline though. Whoo. Out of everyone, they have the most clear and definite wish. Uncovering the truth of the case-53 or for Labyrinth, finally free from her powers. As for servants, I think 'monster' servants would be the most appropriate summon here. Asterios, Frankenstein, Vlad (Berserk). A wide range of options. Also, out of all the participants, I would think that Faultline group would be the one to clash the most with thr PRT. Cauldron definitely dont want the truth to get out and will push the PRT to stop them. This will cause some big conflict, which the HG and Angry person wants.

Undersiders or in this case Tattletale would also be a good participant, though I could see her being the one to be actively against us. Tattletale powers could let her now Taylors true nature and she would do anything to ensure that thr wish is not granted. Itll be annoying for the HG, but itll make for some interesting conflict. As for servants, like I said pretty early on, Moriarty or Sherlock. They would be quite fitting for her.

Dinah should be the same as Lisa. However, her servants choice would definitely be different. Less detective, more bodyguards. Herakles, Kintoki or NR would be a good choice for her.

There is also Coil, but seeing how people generally hate him, him getting chosen is pretty low.

Other rogues, such as U&L or Parian is there too. But I dont see them having any definite wish and they're pretty passive, which is something that the Grail dont want.

Finally, the two people that could be easily corrupted in this war, Amy and Danny. We already seen her potential for corruption and Danny would practically do anything for Taylor. They have the potential to be the big bad in this war and its only fitting to give them a servant suited for said role. We already talked a lot about Amy's servant, so Ill pass on that for now. Danny though, I think the most suitable servant for him would be a servant that is absolutely loyal to him, for example Karna. Said servant will follow him no matter what, throughout his journey of desperation and tragedy. A tragic master and a loyal servant, thats a combination that would make an interesting big bad.

Welp, I think I'll start writing as soon as I get home instead of waiting until tomorrow (especially since my usual writing time tomorrow has been filled), so yay! Master Theo! Confetti!

Who needs sleep anyways?

After Theo I want to make someone from Faultline's crew a Master. An Undersider that isn't Tattletale would be cool too. But then again I do want to see Coil get ganked while he's out of his depth trying to counter a Servant, and the only one of the Undersiders who knows enough to want to kill Coil is Lisa. But like Stranger said, she'd probably also dislike us. Actually how well can she read us? We're a Shard, the Grail, and All the World's Evils. How the heck does she make sense of any info her shard would feed her? If this isn't fanon Lisa then she's actually pretty limited. She's not gonna instantly get our whole backstory from a glance. Plus we're kinda an out of context problem. I dunno, we'll have to see.

Edit: A Traveller would be nice as well. Preferably after Coil's been dealt with. Or maybe before, if we can convince them that we're the more reliable chance of a cure for Noelle? That way Coil loses assets?

Our odd and abrupt change of emotions, and also how people sometime get the feeling of drowning in tar/mud when talking with us. She wont get a clear picture, but those facts are enough for her to get an idea of what we are, and she would probably be scare and/or pity us.

Lisa's readings on Taylor.

Has a fondness for mud wrestling.
Prefers her foxes grilled instead of cooked over a stove.
Has no common sense.
Is actually a corpse puppeted by three beings. One is malevolent and wants humans dead, One is a magical omnipotent wishing device, and the last is a shard of something much greater.

-Lisa goes over that last line-

"Stupid power feeding me bullshit information, no way that's true."

Pretty much like that.

Ok ya, she'd definitely notice something, not gonna argue that. But what I'm not so sure about is her getting a good enough picture to actively oppose us. My main doubt is that she won't be able to figure out the scale of what we are or what we're doing.

Edit: Major thing we're forgetting. The limitations on shards prevent parahumans from knowing things about the cycle. We have a shard actively participating and making decisions with us. I don't know how much that affects things but I feel like it should be a major factor when talking about what Lisa gets out of us.

I'll admit that reastically here, she'll be incredibly suspicious of us for the majority of the war, but only to that level. Probably only during the end of the war will she realize the truth, which by then will be a bit too late.

However, she could potentially know our true nature depending on the servant she get/talk to. From what Chiron said, we could assume that the servants will know thar the Grail is possessing what is essentially a corpse. If a servant told her that, that will raise a whole lot of alarm in her mind and then she'll start to become antagonistic towards us. But like I said before, its dependent on the info she get from the servants, because by herself, she gonna have a hard time guessing us.

The thing about that is that the Servants aren't supposed to know about the Grail's corruption by Angra Mainyu. The only thing Lisa'd get form her Servant would be confirmation that we're being serious about granting wishes. Whether or not that provides basis for her power to jump to further conclusions is another matter that might be a factor.

Edit: The Grail on it's own isn't supposed to want to suborn the wish it grants to unleash a flood of curses on humanity. It just wants to fulfill its purpose.

You kinda missed the point on what I was talking about. However, I'll admit that I might had worded it poorly. So let me say it again.

Lisa might get antagonistic with us, but it doesn't necessarily means that she knows our nature as All World's Evil. Also, you missed the part where I said, the servants know that the Grail is puppeting Taylor's body.

Chiron watched the exchange with some incredulity. Ignoring how strange it was for the Grail to be puppeting a body around, for his Master to be speaking to it in such a…familiar manner was just a bit too much.

Even if she doesn't know what our true nature is, this fact alone will make her wary or even outright antagonistic with us, since puppeting someone at this level in Bet is a big no no. Heck, she might even go against us, in the hope of saving Taylor.

Also on regards to the Grail purpose, I'll agree that the Grail only wants to make a wish, but you're ignoring Angra desire for chaos and conflict here. If we're talking about the whole Grail collective here, before Bet, then the corrupt wish happened as a kind of compromise between the two entity. The Grail get to make a wish and Avenger get to curse the world. it's a win win situation for them. But let me digress a bit here and talk about how the current situation got kinda complicated. Sure the shard is alien enough, but there is also a part of Taylor, who doesn't want the make the situation even worse. This result in a disagreement inside the Grail, since Shard/Taylor doesn't want a corrupt wish to happen. So right now, the Grail's purpose is a bit of a mess. It's focus is still making a wish, but one side wants more conflict to happen during the process, another just wants to learn, and the final piece just want to prevent things from going even worse, which contradict a part of the Grail collective.
