[x] ...Your Baba, attempting to train nuns and monks in combat in preparation for a potential probing assault by the Melik's forces.

Surprised Baba isn't more popular. We've just seen how badly Vashti needs reliable people in her life and there isn't a better example than her Baba.

Also, loved those conversations. Great job of making the voices distinct and engaging. Our second meeting of a spirit was as interesting as the first with even more little snippets of future, likely, relevance. And Tala. She's now my quest fave.

Disregard sneaky conspiracy, aquire Baba.

Thank you! I really enjoyed writing this, which shows since it's 5K words :p

IIIIIT'S BLIND MAN'S BLUFF

no wait it can't be him since we already met him once in the distant past of Sworn to the Scythe

*suspicion*

This seems suspicious! We should investigate post-haste, lest Baba use us as an opponent for the newly minted Battle NunsTM.

*has a brainwave*

What if Tologda lets us take up the shape of an eagle in our Zurah realm? Or fuse with an eagle spirit we befriend?

i did consider advocating for Tolgoda/Rongen under the plan name GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL

i was planning for us to have a special set of sealing jars we wore on our belt

TO CATCH THEM IS OUR REAL TEST

AND TO TRAIN THEM IS OUR CAUSE

but cetash got quite cross

On the downside, we would have been 10 years old forever.

TBH I view the Tolgoda/Rongen combo as the hug all spirits vote, I would have voted for it anyhow.

(You might say: "But what if some spirits are made out of fire or malice and therefore unhuggable?", to which I reply that this even further proof that those spirits need hugs)

I have to say one of the most amazing parts of the quest so far is how almost every fucking vote is incredibly close. Crazy.
