Because this is basically my fault, I will say that my vote was a joking subvote of the option to actually talk with the spirit. As this is a quest that will decidedly not bend things for the sake of comedy, I am absolutely against interrigating the helpful spirit. We just screwed up by loosing control, we are not in a position to demand Seige Nuts, especially because we can just pick them ourselves.

i think people are freaking out about the nuts a bit unnecessarily, tbh
it may be a bit straight to the point for the sake of humour, and that may or may not butter your scone, but it's not going to lead to death or destruction
