How about Mušḫuššu/Sirrush or Lamassu? Both are Babylonian monsters (well, Lamassu is a guardian deity, but it's already in D&D as a monster, so...) so it fits the area and mythology. (Bonus, the Mušḫuššu is technically a draconic creature if you read the myth of Marduk)
