    Would you find a beta-reader for your administrator posts useful? From what I have seen, in most cases, you could probably prevent between 20% and 100% of your backlash by paying more attention to what you say, and how.

    I'd like to support this idea. Not /all/ of your announcements and suggestions have been met with a storm of venom. Some were even quite positively received, most prominent example being the"Sufficiently Medals II: The Ribboning" thread. And IIRC, the Revamped Ratings thread as an older one.

    People generally like new 'features' - though even then, the reception is usually mixed. Changes to things as they exist are almost always received poorly.

    True, but these things are a matter of degree, and your delivery is at times an exascerbating factor. For instance had you not given the impression of almost crowing about removing your infraction to launch polilaw, and especially if you had reinstated the suspension right after, the resulting conversation would have been much more about polilaw and less about the percieved executive excesses of Lord Squishy.

    I feel I should state now just how thankful I am for you continuing to pay for and run this site. I mean, I wish you'd go and get some PR training, but I really do appreciate the actions you take to make the forum a better place and I think that it would be much lessened if you left us. So yeah, thank you. And please know you are appreciated by most of us.

    And I would also like to say that whilst I definitely don't approve of everything you say, you certainly don't deserve the degree of vitriol that you receive for it. I know that I've contributed to this at times, and for that I am deeply sorry.
