    I'm actually vaguely surprised at how it's going. After all, it basically just boils down to "Are you willing to kill a helpless prisoner for your own convenience". And apparently the answer here is 'yes'.

    I'd be less upset if the same people who want to kill Aoi didn't also want to recruit Rukia/Byakuya. That is *not* how character development and roleplaying works! I can excuse the lack of ethics on account of people being young.

    I don't normally ask for GM intervention, but is there any chance of you straightening out the people who are convincing themselves that the "Imprison" option is actually morally worse than the "Kill" option? People are convincing themselves into there only being one 'real' option, because both will have the same result.

    I'm going to note that granting Omakes xp is generally unhealthy for a perspective long-lived quest, simply because long-lived quests tend to be /popular/, and omake XP grants therefore tend to rapidly spiral out of control as more and more people post omakes in the name of boosting the quest that they like.

    If you intend to continue with We Stand in Awe for a while, you might consider doing away with the xp grants. It's seemed to me for a long while that the quest has been running counter to the statements made in the OP due to ridiculous progression from omakes. Have you actually looked at how much XP has been awarded for quest activities relative to omake? Because the ratio is, uh, /skewed/.

    I can certainly see why it could be a problem, and there *have* been more Omakes than I was expecting. Still, in this particular case I'm fine with it. Makoto's bizarre power growth has been factored into the plot and I have a ready-made explanation for how it is happening all worked out, which should lead to some pretty interesting character development a bit further down the line.

    Sorry. It's just...I respect you as an author and all, and that Quest, while I like some of the writing, is a bit of a mess. The mechanics are a mess and hard for me to use/other times nebulous (which is one complaint I know you've had experience with) and the plotting/etc is a bit lackluster.

    It's more that of everything I'm writing, it's the thing I'm least confident in saying, "This is me, this is my authorship/skill at work." Sorta like that embarassing fanfiction some people wrote back when they were teens. Only...ongoing.

    With all due respect, we have over 150,000 crew under our command. Even if only 1/1000 were exceptional, and 1/10 of them very trustworthy, we should have at least 15 potential starship helmsmen.
