    Yeah, that is true. A fighting chance is better for audience immersion, and people like to actually have happy endings for the heroes; things like what you described are perfectly reasonable, because everything on the opposite side being unbeatable is just bad writing. It's just usually not done well in regards to the bigger enemies (Nyarlathotep, etc.).

    Nobody said punching out Cthulhu is going to be easy. In fact, if punching put Cthulhu was easy then look again because that probably wasn't the real Cthulhu in the first place.

    It's supposed to be hard, to take a miracle to defeat the Elder Gods. But miracles can be achieved through hard work and perseverance, not just by divine intervention.

    And besides, easy victories are never satisfying.

    Anyway, do you have any tips on how to unify a bunch of people and entities, who have entirely different viewpoints, beliefs and opinions and often hate each other's guts, into a single force for the sake of a greater cause?

    It's the game's ultimate summon though. You'll only get it by defeating the superboss or finding the secret shop in the final dungeon. That said, 9 is one of the best games in the series and definitely worthe the price and the time.

    More like we can only work on it together Friday and Saturday, so we ended up with a massive amount of backlog in between chapters three and four.

    Had to travel to my grandparent's town to vote in the elections. Between meeting relatives and the other stuff I have on my reading list, I haven't yet. It's next on the list of stuff to do today, right after playing Warframe.
