• Only SV would be impatient and shortsighted enough to want to rush to another continent to meet someone who's coming to us in a week. I hate it when PMAS tries to be clever and just ends up being stupid.

I think it's just that they're happy to have something that they can DO (unlike that whole Grief Enchantment debate spiral), and go super gung-ho on it. They'll forget about it soon enough, once the next hook catches them.
Don't mind me, I'm just breaking Kyuubey's system wherever I can. Griefbending, potionmaking, whatever it takes -- the bunnycat is done for.

Looks good- better than what I had in mind so far. Maybe add a part about running the Madoka-as-advisor plan that we never finished from last vote by her?
Well, actually, we've tactfully tried asking Homura about coming clean. So far she's shot it down.

I say we try that again later. Maybe one of our conversations with her?
Hmmm. Not all that keen on Onmur's interpretation of your old vote- it's missing the Gadjo part entirely and the rest of it is a bit ehhhhhhh. Thoughts?
    Godwinson
    Godwinson
So we timestop. Have Homura time-stop, explain our concerns to her, say that we *need* to give Madoka more details, that she's in the same place she's been before. Not dropping the witchbomb, but addressing the dangers of /specifically/ Madoka contracting.

Ehhhhhhhh. You'll have to elaborate since I don't get it and what I do get is setting off ALL the alarmbells.
    Godwinson

The stuff that I was talking about in the vote I ditched because no-one was going with it, and now the crazies are butchering?
I hope you're doing well Godwinson, you seem like a cool guy.

I like to talk to people and make friends, and I like to help people feel nice, or de stress if they are feeling that way.
    Godwinson
    Godwinson
    Oh! Okay. ^_^

I'm doing well. Currently trying to figure out how to save Homura and Madoka off over in PLHM. Things aren't going so well over there.

Ah, The Maiden in yellow has Kyouko trying to recover her sanity right now, my vote is currently the bandwagon.
Ehhhhhhhh. Not really keen on metabombing Madoka out of the blue and dropping all that on her right now. Maybe some of this later, but over lunch? We're better off with the gadjo approach now, and maybe saying some of the stuff in yours later.
Taking the shiny red button away from the toddlers, Godwinson? :p

Like I said, I've got a new appreciation for why you might respond poorly to griefhax experiments. I might not /agree/, but I can certainly understand /why./
    Ugolino
    Ugolino
Yeah, PMAS seems to come up with new and exciting ways to go completely off track from what really matters...Hope discussion doesn't get too annoying since I don't plan to get dragged into more of the same kind of arguments when I do get back.
    Godwinson
    Godwinson
I'll try to help keep things on track, make it a bit less twitch-inducing. ^_^
    Thanks for the suggestion!

The really great thing about Homura's life being a game, though?

Patches. Bug fixes. Loading screen messages!

So yeah, in a way it's even more heartless than a Moid quest ahahaha! Die to a Witch and you get to relive the entire month up to that point... just to die again, because there was a wrong assumption somewhere/ bad dice roll... as opposed to just reloading mid-fight to try again slightly differently.

After all, that's how canon Homura rolled, and look how well it turned out for her!
    Godwinson
    Godwinson
Agreed. The way that people are spending MP like water and ignoring the established limitations on Homura's experiences...

It's less than pleasant to deal with.
    Godwinson
    Godwinson
Actually, I like that better. Moid's quests have artificial difficulty increases that go along with the instant retry. The approach in PLHM works in and out of character.
Aw, that's not really fair to yourself. Your votes aren't all that bad, and just putting ideas out there can't hurt, right?
    Godwinson
    Godwinson
Hey, it's fine by me. Honestly, you're more persuasive than I am.
    Ugolino
    Ugolino
You should have more faith in yourself, man, and thanks. You probably have more pull than I do at this point- if you say what you think about the Imrix vote in the thread, as the guy who wrote half of it?

    People will listen.

Honestly, we usually see eye to eye, with some notable exceptions. Just don't make my mistake and vent too much/get annoyed. :p
    Godwinson
    Godwinson
    Done.
...Yeah, Godwinson? I think you're confusing "not wanting to cause a bloodbath" with "not taking it seriously". We've been taking threats exactly as seriously as warranted- and honestly armoring a soul gem- while possibly useful as a last ditch precaution in battles- really doesn't add all that much protection that grief wings, shielding, and essentially perfect personal protection wouldn't.
    Ugolino
    Ugolino
Ehhhh. It's mostly that we don't /want/ it to do that and we've never gone out of our way for instant reaction or alteration. Remember, magic is /bullshit/ so logical consequences won't always apply. Our magic at higher ends is honestly closer to discount reality warping.
    Godwinson
    Godwinson
You did notice that Firn said creating witchstuff constructs takes longer than the /instantly/ that some people were assuming, yeah? Be careful not to assume something that might not be true.
    Ugolino
    Ugolino
The thing is that we're not talking constructs so much as very simple properties. Stuff like grief flames WERE instant.
...Dude, if you have objections that's one thing, but I think you lost us there. o.0
    Ugolino
    Ugolino
Eh, why not stick around and suggest what you think we should do? I think we see eye to eye on Sabrina's intent, at least. The "salt" was referring to that you seemed to be getting a bit too heated about the argument. There's nothing wrong with having a different POV as long as you're reasonable about it.
    Godwinson
    Godwinson
Ahhh, okay. No, I'm just a naturally abrasive sort of person. Salty covers it pretty well, actually.
    Ugolino
    Ugolino
Well you're in good company there, PMAS's arguments have been legendary, though we try to keep it civil these days. Hope to see you in thread.
