...Back sooner than I expected, actually, since it turns out service missionaries have considerably different media consumption rules than proselyting missionaries do.
I'm presently serving a full-time service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and taking a hiatus from this forum while I do. Be back in six to twenty-four months.
Internet hygiene is important. I grew up as a homeschooled Christian hypernerd with super-literate parents, seven siblings, and enough ambition to outdo Artemis Fowl. Eventually, I realized that my endless search for good fiction was due to occultism-related sexual anxiety!
Anyway, it's never too late to learn something worthwhile.
In my parents generation, a 'die' was a cube. In my children's, I expect it to look like Ramiel. (The octahedron angel from Neon Genesis Evangelion.)
I identify as a d13.
Guess what I just learned! I just learned how rewardingly-dangerous exploration is in every context! Also, the power of prayer, and how Time exists because God likes it, and that I should really, really, really stop thinking in metaphors all the time.
I identify as a great powerful spirit bound in a tiny little body with so very little working memory that I can barely keep track of one code of ethics, or the fact that it's changing my emotional approach by how I'm sitting.
