    I have taken the liberty of removing all of the AI-generated images I have posted on SV in the past year. This amounts to a sum total of 3 images, all of which were clearly labelled as such.

    The outputs of image AIs tend to be either extraordinarily cursed or scarily good; but occasionally they do also help us answer such burning questions as "what if 19th century French Realist painters did anime fanart?"

    Half an hour ago I woke up to a discord ping, because there were new and dramatic improvements.

    But if you're offering, there's a couple things I could use images for.

    1) an upside-down storage chest. Dozens of spindly arms, many with extra elbows, reach out of the box, dragging it along. Each hand has an odd number of fingers, between three and nine; many fingers have too many joints

    2) An Atelier protagonist (a young woman, elaborate dress, alchemical miscellany, carrying an ornate staff) from an evil militaristic empire (shades of black/red, military accents - epaulets, a sash, pinned medals, etc). Night+falling stars for eyes optional.

    I do like it, but I fear it has insufficient eyes.

    The only things the players in my weird Bloodborne/Silent Hill/Ravenloft mashup D&D campaign know about Grandmother Night are a) the above explanation of her nature; and b) she has, or is at least hyperbolically described as having, 10,000 eyes.

    I mean I was talking about the Genshin villain but like given the near-total lack of actual details re: the Heavenly Principles and the Sustenance Thereof, I suppose we can't precisely rule out the idea that Sustainer-chan looks like that and her humanoid body is just some sort of encounter suit.

    Batch-renaming will not actually solve my problem, which is that I have five maps of varying levels of beauty and a single character sheet which is not that pretty but whatever and I have no idea which of the sixty-one games that I got from the Ukraine relief bundles they belong to, because they are not labeled.

    Well, I think Cecily is a nice name. I did pick it for blue Seele in the most recent sheet for reasons; among which are that I think it's just a really pretty name.

    It has a lovely combination of being really mellifluous, and also having a really creepy root if you trace it back far enough (to proto-Italic *kaikos "eyeless") which neatly ticks a lot of boxes for me. Cute, creepy, linguistic minutia no one else cares about. What more could you want in a name?

    This is something of a simplification, but the Ascians, from Final Fantasy XIV, are an order of black-robed, nigh-unkillable demigods who wield vast destructive powers in their attempts to destroy the world, so that they can return to a 'perfect paradise, free from sorrow' that once existed before this whole dumb universe thing.

    Several of them are ... weirdly compelling? Especially fandom darling Emet-Selch; though I also find Fandaniel to be charming.

    And Emet-Selch even has the 'vaguely military aesthetic' some Strategists go for, with the tassets.

    Apologies, you caught me at an unusually cranky time. Sumimasorries for snaps.

    It was kinda cute, just ... not the best thought out SCP? Probably needed some more attention paid to how it fits into the secondary world.

    Also just as an aside I feel like back when I was big into SCPs which was *checks* oh god 12 years ago??? - anyway I feel like back in the day it was basically 50/50 whether a given SCP was spooky or weirdly whimsical, though maybe that is just rose-tinted glasses
