I have something described in my notes as: "A place of magic and darkness, bookshelves and old cobbles, climbing ivy and rushing water; an empty place, a hidden sanctuary, shared only with voices, around corners and too faint to make out. A moonlit street that was lively and useful, once; or perhaps, one that is waiting for its chance to be born."

I imagine you may have to trim the poetry a bit, but that is the most immediately useful image I could make use of, I think

I like 3 and 4 better. I think I like the canal-like structure in the 3rd picture you provided? And these latter two are darker, and feel more like it's night.

As far as tuning, maybe try and explicitly call for a canal in its input; and emphasize it being night-time?

All of these are great, though; and having four is very useful if questers end up visiting this place multiple times.
