After falling into the void during the battle against Cinder, Weiss finds herself in a galaxy far far away.
1-1
Gambol Shroud felt foreign in Weiss' hand– alien, strange. As Ruby said; weapons were an extension of oneself, so using someone else's was supposed to feel a bit weird. She pushed through it, wielding Blake's weapon alongside Myrtenaster. She wasn't used to dual wielding, Weiss had tried when she was younger, inspired by Winter's weapons. She'd given it up in place of Myrtenaster, which felt like an extension of Weiss' very soul. But it didn't help soothe the pit that had grown in her stomach. Still, as the last living member of Team RWBY, Weiss trudged onwards, deflecting Cinder's claws with Gambol Shroud.

Weiss' eyes burned with tears that she refused to let fall, not in front of Cinder, and certainly not while Penny lay dying on the floor just a few feet away. Cinder formed two flaming swords made out of strong glass and swung. Weiss took a quick backstep, and used Myrtenaster to parry the blade that came too close while the other passed by, air whistling off the blade.

She took a stepped, swinging Gambol Shroud in an attempt to part Cinder's neck, but the corrupt Maiden met Blake's weapon with her own and continued her offense.

The white haired girl was slowing down. Energy sapped from the constant fighting and regenerating her depleting Aura. Cinder swung again and again with a sadistic grin plastered on her scarred face.

Weiss struggled to parry each strike. Her grip on Gambol Shroud loosening as fatigue sat in.

"No!" Weiss' eyes widened in horror as she felt Blake's weapon fall from her hand and over the bridge they stood on. She attempted to summon a glyph, to save the only piece of Blake left, but her overtaxed aura failed her. As she used Myrtenaster to block both of Cinder's swords at once, below her, Gambol Shroud fell haplessly into the whipping void, never to be seen again.

A strike slipped past Weiss' defense and smashed into the heiress's head with the pommel.. She crashed into the ground, vision blurring and head ringing. Nauseous.

Weiss stumbled onto her feet, gripping Myrtenaster tighter. She spotted Cinder's blurred form take a few casual steps towards her, savoring her imminent victory.

A pained scream came from Jaune's direction. Jaune had been taking care of a downed Penny after Cinder had wounded her. Weiss turned her head, her braided hair whipping around, and saw the blond boy standing over the orange haired girl. Blood dripped from Crocea Mors.

Penny's blood.

Penny's body lay motionless beside Jaune who had tears falling into the pooling blood beneath him. Weiss felt her own tears slide along her face. Another friend, gone. Because of Cinder.

Because of Jaune.

Cinder screamed and launched herself toward Jaune, evidently keen on what exactly? Revenge for her kill being stolen? Because Jaune prevented her from stealing the Winter Maiden's power? It made sense, and Weiss wished she could have taken advantage of the moment, but she was too damn exhausted.

The metal of Jaune's shield absorbed Cinder's attack, before throwing her off. Cinder flipped in the air landing into a crouch as she summoned another of her glass swords.

She charged– a deep snarl on her face that reminded Weiss of a hungry Beowolf.

Despite using Myrtensaster to stand, her legs gave out underneath her. Her vision dimmed.

"Where did it go?!" Cinder screamed. Weiss thought there was a hint of fear in there. Still, the noise was enough for her sight to return slightly. Her eyes opened to the sight of the Maiden jerking around. Their eyes met.

Cinder looked away and Weiss couldn't help but feel insulted at the ease of which Cinder rejected her. A beam of blue energy slammed itself into the dark haired woman, crushing her back onto the bridge.

"Winter!" Weiss' cheered. Her sister was here! And she had the power of the Winter Maiden! Winter flew through the air, her blue aura shimmering around her as she glared at Cinder.

Weiss closed her eyes, a deep breath in. Then out. She could feel the combat rumble along the bridge. She planted her hands on the ground and pushed upward, her shaky legs struggling to stay under her, but the third try with Myrtensaster was enough to get her on her feet.

She ignored the fight high above and stumbled toward Jaune, who stared listlessly at Penny's remains.

Weiss placed a shaky hand on Jaune's shoulder. "We need to leave, now," Weiss said in her Ruby-termed 'Heiress Voice'. With Cinder distracted by Winter, they could escape with Winter behind them, hopefully leaving Cinder trapped.Jaune nodded stone faced and tear stained. They each gave Penny's fallen body a final look before Jaune helped Weiss trudged toward the hopeful exit.

They could see the Vacuoan desert on the other side of the nearest portal. "Just a few more feet, Jaune. And than–"

Weiss let go of Jaune as she looked behind at the growing whirring noise, heat, and light. Weiss stumbled behind Jaune who threw up his shield. The ball of fire exploded on contact. Weiss fell onto her back as the heat burned what was left of her aura.

A crack rang in her ears.

She turned her head. A chunk of white and yellow metal had slammed into the bridge underneath her. Steam from the metal clouded her vision.

Light illuminated underneath her, and despite the smoke in her eyes, she couldn't help but widen them as another crack rang out. One she felt.

"Weiss!"

She heard her name screamed by two different voices over the ringing in her head. She rolled over onto her knees, ignored the growing cracks, and looked up. Behind the smoke she could make out another of Cinder's fireballs.

Weiss scrambled back. Too slow. Too late. She felt the heat slam into the ground and envelope her feet and legs as the force sent her careening through the air.

"Weiss!"

She looked up, and saw her sister flying towards her. Dodging glass swords and fire balls launched her way.

"Weiss!" Her sister screamed as she came to an abrupt stop.

Winter's beautiful, glowing, ice blue eyes and tear stricken face were the final things she saw as the darkness of the void swallowed her whole.

Weiss felt warm, as if someone wrapped a blanket around her very soul. She felt at peace, safe and secure, like a child that was being guided by their parents, not that Weiss had much experience with that. She couldn't remember the last time either of her parents willingly held her hand.

"She's strong in the force." An unfamiliar voice whispered into Weiss' ear, causing her brow to furrow. She was exhausted, which made opening her eyes feel impossible. Someone was carrying her as they walked, Weiss could feel every step.

That was weird, Weiss always knew that she was a bit on the shorter side, but to easily be carried in someone's arms was kinda insulting. If it was Yang, Weiss was going to make her pay, especially if the blonde had taken off her prosthetic arm. Allowing her body to relax, Weiss finally managed to open her eyes after a few seconds of concentration.

It nearly blinded her with how bright the world was. She blinked a few times to help her eyes adjust as she tried moving her arms. Weiss felt them wiggle, but they were firmly held at her side, something soft was wrapped around her body. Her eyes finally adjusted, allowing Weiss to look up at whoever was taking her captive.

She stared up at a figure with deep blue skin with two tentacles sprouting out from the back of their head. The alien had a feminine, narrow face, which looked down on Weiss with bright pink eyes. They formed a small smile which revealed their pearly white teeth.

"Hello youngling." The same voice from earlier spoke again. The blue alien was holding Weiss like she was a baby, which was weird, she wasn't that short! Where were the others?! They had fallen into the void first, they should've been here! Weiss' eyes widened slightly as they started to tear up.

Weiss needed answers, and she wanted them now. She opened her mouth to spout out a retort, but no intelligible sound came out.

"Wahhhhhhhh!" Weiss cried like a baby, her words not forming correctly. What was going on here!? She must've been going insane. Y-Yeah, this was all a dream, a bad dream straight out of Jaune's comic fantasies.

The blue alien wiped her tears away lightly with her thumb, and shushed Weiss' cries away, her soul once again feeling like it was being wrapped in a blanket like the one that held her captive.

"Hush little one, you're home now." The blue alien whispered low enough that only Weiss could hear. Weiss also heard a door slide open, with the blue alien stepping into a dark room. The stranger laid Weiss on what must've been a bed, as the white haired girl stared at her in confusion.

This was the weirdest thing that had ever happened in her relatively short life.

"You'll make a fine Jedi one day." The Alien caressed Weiss' cheek, leaving her even more confused.

What's a Jedi? That just made her want to cry even more.

"Waahhhh!"

A/N

First half was reused from TINO, in case you were wondering if you read it before.

I'm just publishing this at the same time as A Song of Weiss and Fire, to show that I'll still be writing RWBY stories even if RT got shut down.

And it's a competition, WOTOR vs ASOWAF, whichever is more popular shall be updated next, after a quick Hero or Huntress update.

Let's see who wins!

Admittedly I am curious how Aura and the Force mix.
I would assume they are at odds with each other.
As one involves being oneself and the other is about suppression of ones desires. Probably less attacks if Remnantians followed the Jedi way.

This is kinda the kind of story I'm always searching for? It's pretty rare to find a story that reincarnates existing characters into other worlds. (Except for Naruto and Harry, but you get kinda tired of those two after a while)

What's a Jedi? That just made her want to cry even more.

"Waahhhh!"
Ork Boy: "Datz da spirit, little humie! Show dose gits wot ya made of! WAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!"

Anyways, I can't wait to see how Weiss reincarnated survive in The Old Republic era of Star Wars and she's definitely gonna see the Kyber Crystals as Dust for her to use. She'd be the most unusual Jedi who uses metal rapier than a lightsaber aside the one she would make for ceremonial purposes.

I will be watching this with great interest.

1-2
Fortunately, at least Weiss thought so, time passed by rather quickly as a baby. All she did was eat, sleep, and stare at whatever alien visitor she had that day who decided to give her a visit in the nursery room of the Jedi Temple. Whenever she wasn't sleeping off that rather delicious nutrient paste, Weiss' ears were doing their best to capture everything, she needed more information. And that was how she found out that she had been kidnapped by an order of magical monks on another planet. Weiss had cried for an entire week after that, having the droid caretakers work overtime. It'd taken a few years, and slowly, but surely, the white haired girl had managed to get used to her new life. If Weiss was going to be stuck in a world full of aliens and magic wielding monks, then she might as well make the best out of it, and hopefully try to find a way to go back home, eventually.

"Close your eyes and focus." Master Lonna Vash said softly, the sound of her black leather boots squeaking softly against the floor of the younglings chamber. "Your eyes can deceive you."

Lonna Vash was the Jedi master that was in charge of training Weiss' youngling clan in the creche of their temple on Coruscant. If Ruby or Jaune could see her now, they'd laugh and call Weiss a nerd.

"We must not trust them." Master Vash continued. "Rely only on the Force." It seemed a bit weird to say not to trust your senses but rather a mystical form of energy that was all around them, but who was she to judge? Aura and semblances would look weird to these people.

Weiss allowed her mind to go blank, her eyes closed shut. The 'Force' is what the people of this world called magic, even if it did seem a bit different from the examples from Remnant that Weiss knew about. She hadn't heard of any Jedi gifting their abilities, or allowing someone to turn into a bird.

"Tell me what comes into your mind." Master Vash's voice was gentle, but firm. Weiss sensed that the older woman had stopped right in front of her. Using the lessons from her previous classes, allowing the Force to flow through her, Weiss remained a pillar of calm, even as she felt the stares of silver, amber and lilac eyes. Conceal, don't feel.

"I see home." Weiss admitted. She missed her friends and her family, even Jacques, somehow. She wished she could've slapped him one last time. Weiss wished for a time where her home never fell, destroyed by Salem and her hordes of Grimm. It'd taken a year after her arrival to finally come to terms about it. She was five years old now.

"I see life." Another youngling spoke up, the Pantoran with deep blue skin, Selang Heka, if Weiss remembered correctly. She was nice, but was still a child, and was rather immature. Not that Weiss was complaining of course, it wasn't their fault that she was a grown woman stuck in the body of a child.

"Balance." Paulan Fenfer said loudly, a human boy that was a year or so younger than Weiss. He spoke with a slight lisp. Weiss hadn't gotten a chance to speak with him much, boys his age didn't really care to be friends with girls.

"Peace." Akicas Calwait whispered, yet was still loud enough for everyone to hear if they were paying attention. She was a Twi'lek, one of those aliens with two long tentacles instead of hair with light pink skin and matching eyes.

"Tell me the code of our Order." Master Vash instructed, Weiss sensed her moving away to another row. Very reminiscent of her time at Beacon, spreading out the learning to all the students, not just one row of them.

"Emotion, yet peace." The younglings chanted in unison, though some remained silent, not having memorized the mantra yet.

"Ignorance, yet knowledge." This sounded more like a cult than an order of knights dedicated to protecting the galaxy, but that was just Weiss' opinion. Seriously, did nobody even think how this would look to the outside world?

"Passion, yet serenity." Less of the younglings followed along by now, including Akicas and Paulan.

"Chaos yet harmony." More younglings stopped speaking, not yet having memorized the entire mantra. That was understandable, despite its simplicity at a glance, the meaning behind it could be complex, too advanced for children without any life experience. Even she was having difficulties with it, and she was technically on her second go around.

"Death, yet the Force." Weiss was the only youngling to finish the mantra, slowly opening her eyes, blinking softly as she adjusted to the light. Master Vash was staring at her, along with a few of the other younglings. And she just stood out from the rest of the class, again. She couldn't help, Weiss was a Schnee after all, and had about a twenty year mental headstart on the rest of the clan. Plus, she was just an academic overachiever, in this life and the last one.

"Good job, Weiss." Master Vash said with a small smile that didn't reach her eyes. She looked distracted, as if she was thinking about something else.

"Thank you, Master Vash." Weiss bowed her head slightly. Her white hair was tied back in a ponytail, only keeping her bangs free. It was an easy way to practice some of the finer applications of this Force, and keep her hair in pristine condition.

Master Vash turned to the rest of the creche, her face indifferent which didn't mesh well with her fake, small smile. "Don't forget to keep up with your studies. I will be asking Master Tokare if the assigned readings are being completed on time." There was a muffled groan, and Weiss resisted the urge to grin. Even in a cult run by telepathic space monks, homework was still a thing.

"Yes Master Vash." The Rancor Clan said in unison, still seated on the floor on cushions. Weiss was glad she still had access to her aura, even if she had to keep it hidden in a temple full of telepathic monks that had plenty of other abilities. Too bad Myrtenaster was lost to her, it felt like a piece of her soul was missing, but Weiss was going to have to move onward.

At least laser swords sounded pretty cool.

Judging by how long this chapter took to come out, WOTOR lost to ASOWAF, but it was an extremely close race. Night_Stalker and I have plenty of ideas and plans for both stories, so they'll be in the writing rotation.

As usual, I'll try to use canon characters where I can, and OCs when I'm not able.

Omakes and OCs are appreciated. If we enjoy them and they don't interfere with the storyline we have planned, they'll be declared canon in the sidestory thread. No guarantees, but its worth a shot.

Thanks for reading!

I see a reference from Star Wars Acolyte trailer where the younglings close their eyes and see visions from the Force.

Weiss is definitely gonna be impressed when she sees a lightsaber in action and adapt her Huntress fighting style with it.

Okay. Kindergartener Weiss is being taught by Lanna Vash so this will be Knights of the Old Republic Era.

*one Wookieepedia dive to refresh my memory later*

Assuming she is old enough, I foresee Weiss almost certainly joining the Revanchists. She wouldn't necessarily care about reclaiming political territory, but the Neo-Crusaders penchant for orbital bombardment and genocide would really motivate her to stop them.

And while Weiss is a big picture girl I don't see her being swayed by vague prophecies of a greater threat.
For one thing, she has participated in "splitting the party" to great, if hazardous, effect before and the Jedi are certainly numerous enough.
For another, there's a marked difference between "We need to call for help or at least get the word out" and "we need to wait and see what happens next". Weiss is not the sort to wonder "would it be better to do nothing at all?".
Finally, the whole Jedi Covenant thing would probably destroy the Jedi leadership's credibility in Weiss eyes. Especially in regards to their foresight and ability to judge threats.

That said I believe Weiss would leave. With Meeyra Surik if not before.
Revan was a "hard man making hard decisions" by the end already. And telling the Council "f--- off, I don't need to explain blowing a planet and my own fleet" would certainly seal any Ironwood comparisons in her mind.

any Ironwood comparisons in her mind.
To be fair, the difference is that Revan didn't have an informed Semblance that gave Ironwood a tunnel vision, which is a poor way to explain his descent to villainy by Rooster Teeth post-Volume 8 when it sums up to him finally snapping and decided to hell with it all. The Atlas general was already a walking time bomb from the start of Volume 7, barely defused when meeting Ruby and her group in their arrival and then the fuse eventually relit and exploded at the end.

Fair to Ironwood you mean? It needs to be asked because a lot of fanfiction is very pro-Revan.

The more I think about it the more potential parallels there are between Revan and Ironwood.

  • Both Ironwood and Revan advocated taking militant action in the face of danger or threats.
  • Both were very successful in inspiring loyalty among their subordinates.
  • Both were dismissive and even contemptuous of "civilian" leadership when it disagreed with them.
  • Both were "willing to sacrifice populations and key [locations] in order to win victories".
  • Both made use of Wonderwaffen.
  • Both persecuted, executed, and/or arranged the deaths of others for (perceived) disloyalty.
  • Both emulated their enemies in an attempt to be strong enough to defeat them.

Hmm, besides Revan, I wonder if Weiss will end up stumbling her way into at least one of the events of the comic series. Interactions with Zayne would be pretty entertaining.

Honestly Weiss is going to be well-suited for a Lightsaber.

Just need to find someone like Dooku (Is there a Old Republic Dooku?) who can teach her how to Rapier a Lightsaber. Maybe Vrook or Kavar? I can oddly see Weiss gelling really **really** well with Vrook.

Honestly having a Lightsaber will be right up her alley , it will be similar enough to Myrtinester (at least Makashi) feel for her. I wonder if she'll name it Myrtinester too.

I wonder if when she builds her saber, if like the darksaber it is not the normal lightsaber shape. If the darksaber can be a sword, Myrtinester 2.0 can be a Rapier.
