A time where humans have just been introduced to dust and Huntsmen were...

The Winding Road:
A time where humans have just been introduced to dust and Huntsmen were first emerging, there was no contact outside any of the small towns humanity kept themselves to. Each thought that they were the first and the last people on Remnant.
This naive ideal continued until one explorer declared to the mayor of the town that there were more people in the world. The explorer was laughed at when he first took this notion to the mayor and declared town fool. Eventually, his statements had got on the townsfolk nerves and they begged for him to be sent away.
The Mayor agreed and sent him one armed policeman, and jailed huntress, and a deaf cook. They left the very next morning. As they traveled the policeman and huntress argued on which way was the right way to find other humans. The explorer tried his best to keep up moral support to little to no success. The cook smiled and laughed all the way.
After weeks of travel and shortening supplies, they came to another town. These people were surprised as they were to find other human beings. They asked, "How is your town?"
The explorer replied "Different place same people."
The huntress replied, " It was a lame town ready to collapse."
The policeman replied, "I serve a great man."
The cook smiled and waved.
They then provided
The next morning they were on their way to another town. And met with the same questions as the last town. And the next and so on. This continued for a total of thirty-six townsfolk. Everyone was getting tired of their journey until they had made it back full circle to the original town from whence they came. When asked about the wonders of the world the group replied that they were not alone.
Everyone was fighting against the Grim threat. They didn't know what to do. Until the cook spoke up. "I have seen this threat and propose that we build roads to talk to each other to exchange ideas. This way we can have more people to defend with us. Together we are strong."
And so the first roads of remnant were born. This led to bigger towns. The towns then led to Four Kingdoms named after the four brave travelers. Atlas after the policeman to show loyalty to one's country. Mystral after the explorer to show that as long as you have hope you can move on. Vacuo after the huntress for freedom of the land. Vale after the cook who even on a mission destined to fail, he still smiled.
