The First Vision

It was something you never got used to.

The sound of teeth on flesh, gnawing and tearing through gristle, combined with that sharp fiery smell...

That same smell of spirits led into flames, crackling and burning with songs and cheer in the background...

Songs became steel, the clanking and clacking of metal on metal, before eventually turning into the staccato of automatic fire, bullets racing into the darkness to find their targets.

Guns. Guns. More guns. Money changing hands between shadows at a table. Flesh melts, leaving new flesh beneath.

A tear, then a snap. The splash of a body hitting the water in two pieces.

In a dark alley between the streets of Grim Row, the White Rabbit looks up at the empty sky. She could have cursed. Shouted angry words into the unending void.

But that wouldn't change a thing.

Gabriel woke up.

The season was upon her.

And she... she had to go.

Where it was... even she didn't know.

Ok, I'm now ready to start playing out actions.

Edit: rolling will be done here, just don't say why you're doing it.

Extra Extra, Read All About It!: Akashic Answers All

THE NEW AYLESBURY SPOTLIGHT

Today we sat down with one of the more elusive members of the Supers keeping New Aylesbury safe at night, a man who is seldom seen but often heard of in the whispers of mafiosos and yakuza thugs plotting away. He may not stand out as much next to our presiding powered princess or our gun-toting glorious gal, but he's put no small amount of bad men behind bars, and has gone toe to toe with some of the worst the streets can throw at him for the past few months! He's thrown down with the Drink, he's danced with the Demon herself! The man, the myth, the legend, Aylesbury's own Akashic!

Q - "So, as one of several publicly known figures in the this new and exciting "Super" scene, what's it like? What's a day in the life of the superhero Akashic look like for the readers at home?"

A - "Honestly, I don't know if I really deserve to be listed with them. My power is a lot less, well, outright powerful than a lot of people's...heroes like Pendragon or villains like The Drink, would all wipe the floor with me in a fair fight. But my days are mostly normal, I guess? I can't afford to do this kind of thing full time, I have to spend most of my days doing more mundane stuff. Wake up, brush my teeth go to...well, you get the idea. When I'm wearing a mask it's mostly just following along with the real big guns and helping out how I can. Sometimes that means fighting, which is always a bit nerve-wracking if supers are involved on the other side. I prefer it when I can spot a clue they missed or something. Two sets of eyes are better than one and my senses are pretty good."

Q - "So what's it like rubbing shoulders with other supers? Hanging around with dames like Whizz-Bang and Pendragon?"

A - "They're really great people, selfless and heroic in ways you seldom run into these days. Or any other days, probably. And obviously, really impressive powers. I sometimes feel like I don't belong in the same company as people like that."

Q - "And on behalf of our readers at home, I gotta ask: Is there a Mrs. Akashic waiting at home for her super-husband to get back from patrolling the mean streets of New Aylesbury?"

A - "N-no, I've dated a little, but I haven't found the right girl for me, yet. Hopefully someday soon."

Babby's First Bank robbery, the part that Yeti intentionally didn't plan for because this man is an officer, gentleman, and engineer and not thief.
OneArmedYeti threw 3 6-faced dice. Reason: Watching the sky Total: 11
5 5 2 2 4 4

Ah, there seems to have been a miscommunication, the choices were that you either roll with a +2 bonus to the roll, or reroll your absolute lowest dice.

Yeah, I read that as +2 or 2 rerolls.

Rolling 5 dice and picking the three highest would be the same as 2 rerolls so I did that.

But, if you pick highest 3 of the first 4, that's the same as rerolling one dice.

So my total should be 13.

Interview with a Princess
EXTRA EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT!: Approaching the Princess!

The New Aylesbury Times

Today a reporter interviewed one of the more bizarre newcomers to our humble city, a super-woman who proclaims herself to be the princess of a foreign realm. The so-called Pendragon patrols the city streets in armor, much to the bewilderment of passers-by. But she has so far proven to be of a more benign nature than her quixotic claims might portray, having been seen volunteering to help with construction efforts and charity, as well as helping to combat some of the foul gangsters that plague our fair city these days. Our intrepid reporter caught up with the strange woman in the mean streets of Grim Row, supposedly holding some form of vigil in an abandoned house. She was willing to answer a few questions our reporter had for her, and her responses have been faithfully reported here.

Q - "So, you claim to be a princess from a foreign land. A lot of readers out there seem pretty skeptical about that. What would you say to them about that?"

A - "I would say that reality doesn't require belief. They may act as if I'm simple or mad, but I fully intend to act as my position as Princess of Avalon requires. To carry out its duties and perform as chivalry demands."

Q - "And what are those duties if I might ask?"

A - "In the absence of instructions from my liege, Protect the vulnerable against those that would prey upon them. Defend the defenseless. Work tirelessly to improve the lives of the smallfolk. Come to the aid of those who work with the same aims. Act always with honest virtue, no matter the obstacle or foe. Spend nights in quiet Vigil, to ensure I don't stray. Suffer no Hobgoblin to live."

Q - "... And whom exactly is your liege? And what are Hobgoblins, exactly?"

A - "Arthur Pendragon, King of Camelot, Avalon and Albion. my grandfather." she pauses "A Hobgoblin is a monster, they slip through the tiniest gaps, torment their victims, usually children and eat them. Picture if you can: seven feet of pale, waxy skinned humanoid. a mouth that splits its face from ear to ear with three rows of needle teeth. They kill because it's the only thing they enjoy."

"I arrived here chasing one. It didn't survive the trip"
