"Medusa...?" Medusa, the monster of Greek Myth. Medusa, the snake that was killed by the Hero Perseus. Medusa, the Gorgon that devoured her own sisters. Medusa, the monster that promised to save her. Yes, she could alleviate this headache. To free her from pain and suffering. She promised. "Find... Medusa... Help... Please..."
She was on her knees, clutching at her head. Her fingers were digging into her skin.
It just hurt so much.
That was the reason why she only had a blindfold! She saw something upsetting, you dingus, super-idiot-Rebeccah! She forced Sakura into her chest to blind the woman and fetched the blindfold; wrapping her eyes up, so that she could blot-out whatever horribleness was plaguing her. Rebeccah then readjusted Sakura and hugged her again, "E-e-everything's g-going to be a-alright, I p-p-promise you." She spoke shakily, trying to be firm and warm.
She could only hoped that it work out well, if it didn't....
Rebeccah didn't want to consider that possibility.
Makiri Zolgen immediately realized something was wrong the moment he lost connection to the worm keyed to the playpen. Upon seeing his granddaughter in pain and being surrounded by the incompetent girl and Justeaze, he rushed on into the bounded fields and right to Sakura. Once by her side, he began analyzing her to find out what exactly was happening. It didn't take long to determine what was going on; it simply confirmed his greatest fears.Sitonai walked straight over, walking through the remnants of the barrier. She put her hands on the middle-aged woman's shoulders. "Hold on a second." she muttered, perhaps to Sakura, perhaps to Rebeccah, maybe both or neither.
It wasn't a crest rejection, that was good. But on the other hand...what the hell was going on in that head?
...oh boy. That was a lot of layers, becoming unraveled at once. She sighed, and let mana flow out, taking the form of a spell that would at least somewhat alleviate the headache and ease the pain. It was a bother to use magecraft, but she felt some sympathy towards the young Matou.
"Okay. Sakura, I presume that you were the Master of Rider. You'll be able to see her soon enough, she's close. I have to warn you, I'm not sure she'll recognize you, as the Grail of Fuyuki is screwed. But if it is possible, even if this one will not, I will try to let you meet your Rider properly at least once. I understand the feeling."
It was something she was well-acquainted with.
He said as such to Justeaze, who was already attending to his heir. "Mental manipulation, over what is likely a considerable porting of the mind across an equally long timeframe. Likely done by those she had trusted, hence why it was even a viable strategy to being with. But we both know that hypnosis is basically useless on even third-rate magi; that it's lasted this long is a miracle in and of itself, and now we're seeing the backlash of whatever the hypnosis was meant to suppress being let out.
"As of now Justeaze you're just treating the symptoms and not the cause; we have to either reapply the hypnosis, which I refuse to do as the fact that it was done to her in the first place is appalling, or we have to finish what was started: break the current degrading mental manipulation and help her as her mind readjusts. I had suspected something like this was happening upon seeing her reaction to my use of the Makiri arts, but I had hoped to address this in a more stable setting and environment."
With that, he then began to apply his own magical energy to his heir and work to undo the hypnosis on her, though he left himself open to Justeaze to allow her to join him in his efforts.

While he was doing this. Makiri then glared at the other girl near his granddaughter, then said to her, "I suppose I shouldn't have been so careless as to presume that even as defenseless and incompetent as you were that it was impossible to have disrupted the safe haven I made for those incapable of contributing to the oncoming battles ahead. It appears that hoping that the children wouldn't injure themselves inside the playpen was a fool's hope, one I'll have to consider and rectify moving ahead."
