SV: Dawn Of Worlds II - Lets try this again.

Hello everyone. *Wave* I saw @Mr BreaksIt 's post in the recruitment thread and was very interested in this quest/RP and I would like to apply to the QM role.

It's a little embarrassing as my post count on SV is a nice, round 0. orz. Though I do have an account on SB and pretty active there under the name Goldenbat. You guys could go and check to make sure this isn't a spam or troll.

I've been reading this thread, the IC thread, the previous pre-reboot thread to get the hand of what I need to do. I hope everyone would take me as the QM, thank you for reading.

Glad that at least I got 1 approval :>

This quest is interesting. I have been playing a similar one on SB though our version is pretty much non-fantasy world building from scratch. And from scratch I mean literally building an entire race from unicellular organisms.

But enough about that. I see you guys are pretty much self-sufficient and the need of a QM isn't dire until the first sentient race rises. I guess the job now is organizing the thread. I have some ideas how to operate "Free Will!" and have been scripting down notes. Conficts between races or even members of a race should be fun to brainstorm and write

Hello! It's nice to meet you! Best of luck on getting approved to be the QM!

We've already done stuff, so I'd prefer a continuation, but we've done little enough that a reboot wouldn't be the end of the world.

Or, I mean, it would, but not our world.

Yay. Everyone present welcome me~

Welp, time to get ready for Thread #3 I suppose.

Yep. So please give me a consensus, continuation or reboot 2.0? I will begin to work on map and what not if reboot or transfer the player data if continuation. We are at turn 2 with 2 gods already spent their powers, correct?

I don't mind reboot, might even try for something other then God of Darkness and Money!

(depending on the games quirks)

Reboot it is then! I shall get to work immediately and try my best to get thing up and running in a couple of hours. Probably need to write things down and save my note so that should I go missing the data can be transferred thus no more reboot would be needed.

Wish me luck~

Hhmm. I get the house rule no terrain editting but would anyone explain to me the reason of the no sapient underwater races? Seem like an interesting concept.

VERY bad experiences in the first game.
Same reason why we refrained from creating a sapient race while the world was still being build.
Bad experiences.
Real bad.

Would you mind elaborate? Someone raise the land where the underwater race lives and kill them off our something?

No, but people started getting distracted with the races/filling up the sea while the landmasses were still barren wastelands.
And since first age turns are longer than second and third age ones, we suddenly had victorian age tech while half the world was.. face less gray wastes.

Question: Would setting off an alien invasion count as an event/catastrophe, or a race with a crapton of extra advancements?
