Shards of the Emerald Dream (Exalted/Legend of the Five Rings)

The word 'only' makes me feel out of my depth, since I'm a nWoDie here going, "only?"

Though nWoD does have a skill specialization thing that can allow you to take a second dot if you pay for both the dot and a special merit. But besides that, skill specialties only being a dot is the norm to my understanding.

Heh- I came in on Exalted 2e and never really got into WoD. I've got the nWoD rulebook, I'm just not that familiar with it so

nWoD is pretty great, honestly, depending on what you're playing, of course. Never Beast, Never Geist! And if you yell "Changing Breeds is Great!" in a lonely forum, you will never be seen again.

...at least they don't have a book of magical gypsies like in oWoD.

Edit: On the other hand, Changeling: The Lost is amazing, and Mage is pretty nifty.

Wyld-Dispelling Prana – 5m 1wp reflexive. As the Chosen of Amaterasu, Kenshin is imbued with a measure of divine authority, more than enough to rebuke the touch of Jigoku. He may activate this charm at the first moment he notices any individual, item or structure being affected by the Shadowlands Taint or similar corruption, sluicing away the corrupting influence. Additionally, he may roll (Mental attribute + Lore + Essence) at an appropriate difficulty to immunise the target against further taint for one round per success in combat, or one minute per success in narrative time.
This is a must have. Given how rare the ability to dispel taint is, there is nothing that can cement our position as well as this. There are spells that can destructively purge the taint, and all of one artifact in the entire world that can cure it.

We already have that charm and the others listed in the char sheet.

...no, no it was not. I listed 15 charms, and you start with all of them, because I have no intention of opening this up to 'character creation via democracy'.

The actual first update will be coming... probably tomorrow at this point.
