SayakaQuest Thread 6: Kill Your Heroes

I'd say use your head, but in this case I don't think a helmet is going to be enough to block.
Luckily, Sayaka has a very thick skull.

If we get back, the others might get AOE'd. Blade block is cheaper than healing the super-attack and very effective.

In this case I'd rather we use Akane.
Let's not and say we did. Akane could probably find a way to lose to a familiar, somehow, and with her roidraging, we don't want her trying to tank.

Remember, Sayaka is the melee tank. With the right powers, we can take it.

And also, we have sonic abilities....why not use them?
(Or did I miss something... ?)
Our sound based abilities are using music to boost our general combat performance, second-rate sonar, and making our pistol-swords play notes when we fire them. Nothing offensive or defensive- I was thinking of suggesting a tuning-fork sword for sonic blasts (or something along those lines) for a later training session, but right now that's irrelevant.

If we're going for the "THE PUELLA CANNOT USE A SWORD IF YOU DISABLE HER ARM" school of defense, it might be worth using a burst of really loud sonar on her while we charge - burst eardrums are incapacitating as fuck, and might make the difference between being nope'd and getting a fatal hit in.

[x] Helmet On.
[x] Boost and Shield Smash.

High risk, but I'm betting that barrier is not at full strength right now.

I don't trust our control over the sonar enough to go full banshee on the last meguca...friendly fire and self-deafening would be hilariously bad.

Most of Homura's is handheld arsenal is the equivalent of pins. How the heck is that going to succeed when Homu failed?

Because Homura has timestop I'm wondering why she didn't get just put a grenade in the other girls outfit. This is mostly because I've forget how her time stop works exactly.

So why not try Pins while she has her Sword/Sail in the air?

If we're attacking now, we need something with sufficient force and weight to get through that windbarrier. Pins is not going to cut it.

She's still got her barrier up which seems to be a 360 degree defensive mechanism and might just repel the pins right back at us. Brute force is the least bad of our options for a tank approach to this.

I thought the windbarrier was down. Woops. Exploding Swords are not quite the answer this time then.

[X] Create The Biggest Possible Sword, above you slanted towards her, so that gravity and you together can bring it down on her.

Or would it be better for us to use A Rapier, as it would have less surface area for her to blow against allowing us to pierce the barrier through focused power instead of brute force?

Strictly speaking, we've got about a 100% chance of this attack not doing anything. From a meta-game perspective anyway, I mean this is pretty much the 'final boss' of the Tokyo 6 arc after all. That said, Crit rolls do happen sometimes like, say, The Bat in Asuka Quest.

[X] Full defensive. Greatshield, Sword block too if we think it would help.

[x] CHAAAAAARGE
-[x] Boost in, sword first, try to hack something important off.
[x] Sonar. Make it as loud as possible. As a secondary priority, try to direct it mostly forwards.

Calculated risk. Could go horribly wrong, but we'll heal faster than her if it does. Besides, one of the few things that'd hurt more than blasting ourself with infrasound is getting carved into bite-sized chunks because we didn't; she's forewarned, and probably didn't last this long by being slow on the draw. We need something to put her off-balance.

Also,

EDIT: Motherfucker. Too slow.

You don't think she already fucking tried that?
I figured it'd work if she tried it. That's a strong defense she has.

Crazy Idea...

Maybe because of her Air Control she can hear better than normal people, if we move her to tears from our musical skills we might neutralize her, as music calms the savage beast.

asdfgh

[x] Plant a blade barrier in front of us, boost backwards as hard as possible and gain some distance
[x] Kyouperation: Can Kyouko make drills with her spears? If so, we might be able to bypass her barrier by coming up from below inside it...
