My Hero Academia: Shattered Pillar

There's another quirk in canon that works similar to that. I'd add some sort of power source for your transformations. They have to be fueled by something, after all.
oh! errr I guess would absorbing electricity be good enough? I really don't get how that power source works

Name:Negasi Pierre
Nicknames: "Elephant"/ "Wall"
Gender: Male
Alias: "Titian"
Height: 7'3
Weight: 459 Lbs

Personality:
Negasi is a bundle of anxieties wrapped around a thin layer of confidence from his abilities. In this way he likes to think of himself emotionally as a burrito. Not as healthy as you would like to think, prone to breaking and spilling everywhere and yet somehow still loved by far more people than is fair.

Which is to say concisely. He has trouble with his emotions, bottling down his problems until he does something stupid and tending to be a bit of a loner feeling like a natural outcast because of his quick, heritage and childhood.

He is not all bad though it is just easy for a teenager to see themselves as such. He values life and people in a way that makes him almost to giving and caring. He would be the first to help someone without being asked, because they shouldn't have to ask. He values his integrity and dreams of becoming a great hero, a shining example, an unstoppable titan for good.

Quirk: Loxodon Physical Mutation 1, 2

Strengths:

Physical Strength

His incredible physical build lends itself very well to hitting hard or moving heavy objects. He doesn't actually know his maximum bench press or squat having yet to find a facility that can accommodate him.
Natural Armor
Not only is he very strong but his thick hide for skin, mass of muscle and heavy dense bones lets him shrug off most attacks even small calibers are only a threat if they hit the right location or in enough quantity.
Built for Weight
His incredible bulk is built in such a way that even huge amounts of weight will have little impact on how he moves or his stamina.
Enhanced Hearing
The huge ears are not just for show and actually help him pick up quite a lot of sound naturally.
Trained
His father passed down skills to him the same way his grand father passed them down to his father. As such he knows about working leather and wood, as well as how to use a spear and a shield. His father supplemented this with some camping and survival training from the legion to make some of it a bit more modern and useful.

Weaknesses:

To big for the world

He has to duck down for doorways, struggles to use trains and finds most chairs are not meant for him. While not often an issue when fighting it can be and it means a thousand minor nuisances in his day to day life.
Scared he will die alone
Given his elephant face, tusk and general abnormal size and appearance he as a young teenager is just coming into the romantic world and is already seeing issues with ever being able to find a romantic partner. This is depressing.
Can't hide his identity:
For obvious reasons he can never hide who he is. His civilian identity and cape identity are forever permanently intertwined.
Not a long distance runner
While he can sprint pretty quickly, and can do a decent hustle he can not run for any type of real distance, his frame and build just are not meant for it.
Big target
He is a big obvious target, likely to be attacked first in combat or to be targeted by the biggest, most dangerous attacks.

Backstory:
Nesagi is the son of a retired french foreign legionnaire who came from Africa. Which makes him a second generation immigrant to France. His fathers quirk allows him to grow to about 9 feet tall making him tougher and stronger, and his mother had a physical mutation quirk that gave her grey leathery skin that was very hard to hurt. Apparently when put together you get him.

His earliest memories are camping with his father, learning to hunt and fish with a spear and "playing war" where they would throw blunted spears at each other as they used wood and cow hide shields. He was taught the history of his ancestors around a campfire. Tales of the trickster spider were his bed time stories. His father worked very hard to make sure he knew his heritage. Where as his mother disagreed greatly a proud french woman she wanted him to grow into a normal young boy and eventually have a normal life and job.

That was the greatest argument he ever saw between the two of them. His father wanted him to join the legions one day and meet others from his culture who joined there. His father after all loves the legion life. His mother wants him to get a normal job and life to become an average citizen. So he decided to disappoint them both. He agrees with his father in ideas of duty and service, but his also agrees with his mother that he doesn't have to become a solider. So he signed up to go to school to be a hero. Maybe he can find balance and happiness forging his own path.

Right, so, first, sheets are to be PM'd. You're free to post here too, but PMs are where discussion goes back and forth. Since got haven't though, I'll do it live-

This character sheet isn't of the format. I don't mind that so much, but you've included something you don't have right now - your hero name.

Next - honestly I was expecting a wiki link for a quirk at some point, but this is somehow worse. A magic card and an image a quirk description does not make. That's not to say a wiki link would be acceptable, by the way, use your own words.

Next - this isn't taking place in France? That seems to be what you are implying, which is wrong. It's also very setting agnostic, which isn't a good thing. At least put in the reaction to all mights death or something.

This is not, as it stands, a good sheet.

oh! errr I guess would absorbing electricity be good enough? I really don't get how that power source works
It's not necessarily a power source, but Quirks are physical abilities and as such tend to come with either a fuel requirement or drawbacks. For example:
Hellfire: Extremely powerful pyrokinesis, but raises the user's body temperature during use.
Sugar Rush: Temporarily boosts the user's physical strength when they eat sugar, but drops their intelligence at the same time.
Pop Off: Produces rapidly-regrowing balls on the user's head that they can rip off and throw, and that stick to anything except the user. The balls stick longer if the user is in good health, and pulling off too many in a short space of time causes their head to start bleeding.
Zero Gravity: The user can make anything float and become weightless by touching it with the tips of their fingers and thumbs, but they start to become nauseous if they use this on too much weight at once.
Permeation: The user can make some or all of their body intangible to physical matter, but cannot extend this effect to their clothes and loses access to their senses if they phase that part of their body (for example: they can no longer see if they phase their eyes).

There is one class of Quirks that doesn't tend to have these issues- Mutation Quirks- but those are permanent changes to the user's body, such as giving them the characteristics of a frog or engines in their legs.

Okay, one thing that makes the MHA version of superpowers, Quirks, unique is that they are all physical in nature. You can think of them as something similar to a muscle. And just like a muscle, overusing it can have adverse affects on the body. So you should decide two things.

One, what causes your quirk to be "overused"? Is it the complexity of the transformation? The speed? Is it using your quirk multiple times in succession? Or is it simply the number of changes on your body at once?

Two, what is the drawback? This is really up to you, but the drawback must be physical in nature.

And even these quirks are simply limited by the user's body and their stamina.

Name: Saiki Takuya (Eastern Order)
Appearance: Fairly average in height, brown hair and black eyes, overall unremarkable. He is at least pretty well built for his age.
Costume: A white bodysuit made of armoured fabrics and a light blue full-face visor, which serves him well in the day and his quirk but exceptionally poorly out in the open at night. The visor has an integrated infrared camera system, letting him see people through his fog.

Quirk
: Emitter-type: Fog. This quirk allows Takuya to form large clouds of dense fog around him wherever he goes, somewhat plateauing at a rough sphere with a radius of a few meters if he outputs for a couple of seconds. Naturally, if he moves quickly he risks outrunning the generation. If he stands still, the cloud will still increase further in size over time if he keeps the power on, but more slowly. Combined with his costume sensor, this gives him a visibility advantage over any potential enemies.

Of course, there is a second element to this. If he's fully enveloped by his fog, he can very rapidly reposition himself, almost akin to teleportation. He can even use this to bypass gaps far too small for him, such as the bottom of closed doors, if he generates enough fog in the appropriate locations. There are some limitations to this, of course. He needs a moment of concentration to begin the rapid movement, and he can't do this while touching another person.

When not deliberately creating clouds, Takuya still has wisps of fog visibly coming off him at all times.

Skills
: Highly physically fit, and knows some basic martial arts and first aid techniques. Also has had training to work well under pressure. Stuff that you'd expect from a hero, but sadly nothing too exceptional.

Bio
: Takuya was born into a circle of heroes, with a Pro Hero and former emergency services volunteer as parents, and a social group that reflected that. When it became apparent that he had a power that could be highly useful in combating crime, it was thus practically expected he'd continue the legacy as a Pro Hero himself. While his parents never explicitly said, and tried not to force the issue, it was nonetheless fairly obvious. Without a particular desire or reason to resist the call, he simply accepted it as fact from almost the moment he could form a coherent sentence that he'd be a hero out of mere inertia.

Unsurprisingly, when the Symbol shattered and fell, it almost shook him out of his self-induced haze. The only reason he didn't sharply diverge from his previous path then and there was because he was still too young to really understand what it meant. The far-reaching implications were at that time beyond him, but over the following half a decade his position did allow him to see part of it. The vastly increased stress and even hospitalisations of his parents as the situation worsened, the same for the family friends, and even retirements for some. He still continued on the path to enter U. A., even taking some preliminary classes to help his skills, but it was with increasing concern over the world.

When he arrived, he'd made up his mind. The world was burning, darkness was rising, hope was fading. But. That didn't mean heroism was dead or the heroes were out of the fight, not yet. A new generation, one he was part of, was in training even now, and were certain to try their hardest to reverse the slow collapse. He, perhaps not determined or powerful enough to ever replace the fallen Number 1, might at least be able to provide support for those that could. A Pillar for other Pillars, if you would. He'd personally seen the toll this line of work could take, and was prepared to do his best in seeing it didn't consume anyone else like it had consumed some people he knew. "Someone has to take care of the rest of these maniacs, and it looks like it's up to me."

Name: Okura Naomi
Appearance:
Naomi's style is pure gyaru - flashy, loud and in your face. Her hair is dyed a fiery coral pink, she sports a ton of accessories and a different nail job on every nail, she wears her collar open and her skirt super-short with a sweater tied round her waist, and rocks either loose socks or grade A Zettai Ryouiki.

Costume:
(Yes, it's basically an excuse to get even flashier than normal) Naomi's costume includes a supply of graphene balloons with which she can contain the myriad (toxic, noxious, caustic, etc.) gases her Quirk can produce.
Quirk: Any Breath - Naomi's Quirk allows her to produce any real gas (at whatever temperature and pressure she currently inhabits). The rate of production is about 1 mol/s (24dm3), and it comes out of her nose and mouth as if she were breathing it out.
Skills: Chemistry whiz (for obvious reasons); talented singer and saxophone player (she has amazing breath control - and also cheats because her power essentially enables her to not have to breathe external air). Naomi's the sort who could be the madonna of the school if she wanted to, but she prefers to keep her intellectual talents low-key and have people underestimating her just because she's a gyaru.
Bio: Naomi's Quirk manifested early, when she was a baby. It almost killed her mother, because when she was being burped she produced a cloud of chlorine gas. This made her a hazard to be around until she began to gain conscious control of it. As she got older, though, she developed her control and repertoire, making her really handy to have around at parties. She's very aware of how dangerous her Quirk can be.
Perhaps as a response to how tightly controlled she has to be with her Quirk, she's gone full-bore gyaru in other aspects of her life. She's outwardly loud, sometimes crass and uninhibited, to the point that it's often embarrassing for normies just to be around her.
Naomi also plays to some of the cultural assumptions about gyaru, being very flirty and almost aggressive sexually.
Naomi is, unlike most of her peers, divided about becoming a hero. It's not really a calling for her like it is for so many other people - her real passion is music. But her Quirk does have obvious combat and utility applications, and as a decent person at heart she does want to use that power to help other people. And it doesn't hurt that heroes get paid and receive loads of publicity. The way she sees it, being a hero can really boost her music career as well.

Name: Agito Nomura

Appearance:

Costume: A white armoured bodysuit with black tron lines under a white trenchcoat with eye designs on the front and back as well as on the front of the bodysuit, and a black armoured mask piece that extends out in front of his eyes allowing him to generate and deploy his remote eyes.

Quirk: Remote Oculus - Agito's Quirk allows him to create and control several types of floating eyeballs from his eye sockets which he can see from. The control range of these eyes is approximately 100 metres and move at the same speed as an average baseball pitch (About 90 mph) and while in range, Agito can see through these eyes. Agito can remotely sever his connection with any of his eyes in range, causing the eye to become inert and dissolve into a sand-like substance.

Agito has four types of eyes that he can generate and control:

-Eye Scream: Extremely hard and durable eyes that are meant to be used as an offensive weapon.

-Eye Spy: Eyes that have telescopic vision and magnification.

-Night Eye: Eyes that allow clear vision in the dark but are very vulnerable to bright light.

-Laser Eye: Eyes that fire off a single blast of concussive energy before dissolving into sand.

Remote Oculus' main weakness is that it becomes very difficult to control more than two eyes at the same time, with the difficulty increasing when Agito deploys different types of eyes at the same time. Not only that, Agito can feel what his eyes feel so any strikes to his eyes, with the exception of Eye Screams, will cause him great pain. Very bright flashes of light will also disorient him as well. Rapid twisting movement of his eyes also tends to make Agito nauseous as well.

Skills:

Near perfect memory: Agito has a very good memory, something that allowed him to coast through his studies with relative ease. With his quirk, Agito can pick up and remember everything he sees down to the smallest details.

Skilled Shooter: Thanks to his quirk as well as a familiarity with guns due to his parents, Agito is a skilled shooter who can hit a moving target reliably with a firearm or his eyes.

Skilled Martial Artist: After his father's death and his decision to become a hero, Agito threw himself into learning how to fight.

Bio: Agito was born to a couple who were both police officers. Despite their hectic work schedules, Agito's parents always made time to be together as a family, never neglecting their son and guiding him through life. However, when All Might died and crime began to rise, Agito saw his parents less and less. It soon became normal for Agito to not see his parents for several days straight, only seeing them once in a while, exhausted from the increased workload. As time went on, Agito grew resentful of his parent's absence, causing him to go through a period of delinquency, perhaps out a need for attention from his parents.

When Agito's father was killed during a sting operation gone wrong, Agito was devastated. After spending a few weeks mourning his father's death, Agito decided that he would do whatever it took to bring down crime and make it so those police officers would not have to spend days or weeks away from their family in order to crack a case, nor would their family fear for the deaths of their loved ones. Initial wishing to become a police officer, Agito decided that his quirk and personality were more suited to hero work and thus he headed down the road to UA Academy for the sake of a brighter tomorrow.

Right as i was finishing up the sheet as well ;-;
Oh well

Ah well. Guess I won't be playing Totally Just a Mild Mannered Healer (TM).

Best of luck to everyone else.

Sad I didn't get in but can't say I didn't expect it, my sheet wasn't that good but I do think those who made it do deserve it.

That being said I'll likely keep an eye on this rp, just to see where it goes.

Whee! I got picked!

Woot! I'm in! No to actually read the sheets of the other players because I didn't feel like paying attention earlier! :V

You guys better give it your hundred - no, thousand - percent :V

Congratulations on your acceptance to UA High, Hero Course:
Wakamiya Nagisa (@Jemnite)

"Nagisa!"

The boy blinked and slipped of his headphones. He looked away from another shitty remix track he was making for his awful soundcloud and pushed away from his desk. The plastic wheels of chair scratched and rubbed against little bumps and nicks in the hardwood that they were intimately familiar with by this point. "Yeah?" He yelled back from the second floor.

"Mail!"

That sounded... vaguely important. He thudded down the stairs, slightly abusing his knees as she skipped down two steps at a time. it was fine. He was young. The long term effects of his joint abuse wouldn't manifest for at least another 20 years. "Yeah?"

His mother's face was carefully blank as she passed over an envelope addressed to one Wakamiya Nagisa. Nagisa scanned it as she passed it over. The seal embossed on the enveloped that that of one nationally famous UA High School.

"Oh," were the only words that Nagisa could say. That explained his mother's mood. She had never really been quite happy with his decision to apply for the hero course in that school- and especially not since he had come home from the entrance exam in completely ripped up shreds of what had been his clothes. (Regeneration meant he came whole hale and hearty but the same didn't exactly apply to his clothing.) "I'll... take this upstairs."

"Yeah." Nagisa couldn't quite meet his mother's eyes and retreated slowly under her gaze back to the safety of his room. He dropped the envelope on a table and then just stared at it for a while. He didn't know if he could even bring himself to open it.

Ḑͅo̤̞n̜̠̼͍̼̣'̪̜̙̟t̞ ̗̘̺͙͇ͅb̵̞̻̰̞͙e̜ ̮̺̗̯̳̮̖a̳̯͘ ̛̼͍͉̲̤͙͎c̺̻̥͟o̞w̺̬̱̻a̳̫̤͕̘̟͇ṛ̘̼d̟̩̥̞̩

....right. Right. He couldn't bitch out here, right? He reached for the envelope with both hands, and then realized he had no way to get it open. Ugh. Crap. He didn't want to ruin the really nice looking envelope, either. He had a pair of scissors around here somewhere, right? Uh, desk? He rummaged about for it and then winced as he sliced his hand open.

P̵a̦t̪̻ͅh̡̺͚̱e̮̞̖ͅt̫̻̙̯͈̩i̜̞c̖

Okay, he probably deserved that one. He sliced the edge off and slowly eased the letter out, careful not to tear the edges of that finely made embossed envelope. It took a few minutes for him to finish the message. Actually comprehending it took about another five. He just stared blankly at the end of the acceptance letter.

And then Nagisa began to laugh. It was a sort of hysteric, desperate laugh like the the world was insane and he was the one sane one and he was totally incapable of dealing with how inane it really was. Seriously? He got in? He actually let him in?

Who was the one deciding the exam results? A madman? Why in the hell, of all people, would he be one of the lucky ones to get in?

More than that, why had he even applied in the first place. Now that he was actually staring admission in UA High in the face, he didn't remember why he had even applied. Hadn't he been the only one who had gotten a failing grade on that stupid essay assignment last year when he literally pursued the only way possible to fail an easy 100 and wrote it entirely on the futility of heroism? Hadn't he been the one to make his (now deactivated) Tweeter account famous in the media as a "disgraceful display of the failing values of today's youth" when he had did that chain-post essay on how heroism was a career without merit and reward?

Why of all people did he apply to UA?

M͎i̥̣̤r͏̥r̳̼̰̭o͏͉̞̠̫͕r͖̻̰

Nagisa looked up into his own reflection. His own dumb looking face greeted him. Stupid looking birdnest hair, the result of a total failure to learn proper grooming skills. Dark bags under his eyes due to a failure to maintain an actual human sleeping schedule. Pale skin which came about as a natural endpoint of his almost pathological fear of the sun and generally anything related to being a functioning social individual. And a dumb smile on his face, queasy, small, wavering, but unable to be suppressed by his best attempts to convince himself that this wasn't what he wanted.

Ḑ͕o̵̰̼͓̬͎̺n̞͉̲͈͖̩̥'̵t̘͇̻̠̫̤̀ ̡̳t͠r̸͕̗̝̥̟̞y̷ t̩͔̗̗̼̹̮o͈̙͈͖ ͔͎͠lie̙͖̼̪ ̥̙͎̠̩̘͓̀t͈̯̭̳o̶̞̹̮͈̱̞͈ ͚̫̖̦̥͉̩y̦o̝̘̠̗̖̥u͎͕͕̘͘ͅrs͈̲̜̥̖e͞l̤̜̱̤̱f̭̫, ͕͍͟y̝̣̞̰͉͎̫ou̲̠͙ ̭̤̦̦̗͜g̶͈͎o͚̖͔͖d͔̺̘̘̳̭ͅd̜̭̲̣̕ͅa̴̗͓͖̼m̬̹n̨̼̻̖͉͎ ̶̫̘͈͔f̢̫͔̜u҉̯c̡̭̰͉̩k̘i͉̜̺̫̥̤͡n̛̩̙̘͈͉̳ͅg̤̪̫̙̘͙ͅ ̺͍͇ͅg̺̼̟̘͘o͏͔̘̼̳o̗d͇̖̣̩̝͍͚y-̯̤̥t͓̼͙̝̻̮w͇o̖̙͡ ̖s̴̝h̜o̞̻̝e̴͚̝̪̭s͕͍͚̭ͅ

Nagisa stared at his reflection and sighed. He collapsed back in his chair and dropped his hand on his forehead. He didn't bother to try to suppress that grin anymore. It would be pointless to lie to himself at this point. "I'm such," he said to himself. "Such a goddamn idiot."
