Lands of Sand and Magi (First Crusade Fantasy CK2 Quest)

Jewels of the City Part 1
The Jewels of the City
Part 1
[X] Join Gaucher and the Generous Fellows in the Job.

Gaucher was your oldest friend, and your partner in crime for as long as you could remember. You couldn't say no, you knew he'd just try on his own anyways, and if you let him go without you it'd probably end badly. No, this was the only way this would pan out well for all parties. You just wanted to make sure no one got killed.

A hour or so would pass before you, Gaucher, and the Fellows would arrive on a rooftop across the street from the Patriarchs Palace. You'd been casing the place for a bit, and decided that there were three ways to get in. The Roof, the Window on the Balcony right across from where you perched, and a backdoor. You didn't actually see a backdoor, but assumed there would be one. Also, you didn't actually have to use to the fellows to get in, as they add more variables, they might get discovered, or get killed. You had to make your plan.

Entrance

[X] Go in through the roof.
[X] Go in through the window on the balcony.
[X] Go in through the "backdoor".

Party
[X] Take all of the Fellows with you. You need the goods. Hopefully its just a snatch and grab.
[X] Just you and Gaucher. You have to take Gaucher with you on this quest, as he is a KEY NPC.
[X] Write-in.

[X] Go in through the window on the balcony.

Minimize number of people to get noticed then.

[X] Plan: Thief: The Dark Project
[X] Go in through the window on the balcony.
[X] You, Gaucher, and 5 of the stealthiest members of the Fellows will go in, the others will provide look-out and make a signal if there's trouble.
-[X] Direct your crew to steal cash (florins, coins, etc) then the lightest, non-bulky, and most expensive looking stuff!
-[X] Pls wear appropriate garb like face scarves to prevent identification.

Everyone is dressed like a medieval rogue in the Fellows and wears dark colors.

Am I allowed to write-in "chicken out and leave because robbing one of the most important figures of our host is stupid?"

This is an honest, albeit salty, question. I really want to know if it is not too late to reverse this.

seems like a waste of an action

edit: and before you go on a tirade, i had a different plan which was the "not begging but exploring" plan. but this option won and it is interesting.

[X] Bark...
-[X] Send all the other fellows to create a commotion elsewhere partway through the break-in, and vanish in the night as soon as people have been called to them.
-[X] Go in through the "backdoor".
[X] and Mark

-[X] Go in through the window on the balcony.
-[X] Just you and Gaucher.

you are salty, sure, but the gm did state that we had a good chance of success here. better we help than let Gaucher and his merry band go do it alone.
Good thing I never advocated we let them do it alone. I advocate to not do it at all. Robbing important figures of our hosts who already don't trust us is a bad idea regardless of whether or not we succeed. Also, saltiness does not equal dynamite-explosion anger.

Seems like a good plan, and I'd like to use my time over the weekend as much as possible so voting is closed. I'll have a response up shortly.

There are seven members of the Generous Fellows, excluding yourself and Gaucher. You tell them to create a diversion while You and Gaucher go in through the window on the balcony.

[Intrigue Roll: 28 + 10 = 38. Success]

The fellows create a large distraction down the road, calling both the local city guardsmen as well as the guards near the Patriarch's Palace. This buys you a few minutes. Getting in through the window was easy enough, and you managed to break into the upstairs foyer. You are able to easily let the Fellows in through the backdoor. You all split up and easily scan the area. There isn't much to be found, scraps mostly. You found some swords, which is good, enough to equip the fellows, but that's about it. You can't believe that the intel was bad, why would there have been a scuffle over it. Until you realize that there was one room left unchecked. The Patriarch's personal chambers. That's got to be where the good stuff is.

[X] Go into the Patriarch's Chambers

or

[X] Leave now with what you have
(approximately 50 fl)
