"I'm as disconcerted by this as you are Mag." You shrug. "It's not great to know another version of yourself is running around under medusa alteration. However, I'm still the best chance we have of catching her." Magret frowns, but you continue. "I'm here to find myself and plug the leak, that's all."
"Alright, but they stay with you at all times." She points at the twins. "Damn, command must be out of their minds." She waves you through the scanner. "Check-in your weapons at the security entrance. Your clearance is still good, but I'll be watching your accesses."
"I wouldn't expect anything else." You walk to the security gate and pull out your pistol, handing it over. Your other self and the twins do the same.
One of the advantages of a suit though is it gives you a lot of space to hide things.
[ ] Give over all your weapons

The inside of the Cathedral is a lot less impressive than the outside, the large internal rooms that were the quarters of priests and individual chapels multiple subdivided into office space. Mag is probably going to be pretty annoyed if you wander around talking to everyone, so you head to the office you share with your partner.
You knock on the door and poke your head through, trying for a smile but finding it comes a little sad and weak "Yo. I'm back."
Your partner looks up from her desk. "And there's two of you now. I'll need to find another chair."
Taliba is a soft figured Lith, dark-furred with a long white patch under her throat, clad currently in informal smart armour. "What the fuck Cha, did you become a gangster out of an old movie or something?"
You blush. "I wanted something a bit showy, what with me also being a wanted criminal." You nod. "This is my other self, and Rin and Ran, my watchers."
"Huh." Taliba waves you to a seat. The Twins perch on the desk "So, they reincarnated you to hunt you? I had a hell of a security briefing after you vanished. You'd have thought I was the one who defected the way Mag carried on."
"Sorry I put you through that."
"Hell. I'm not the one who has to hunt themselves down." She sighs. Lith faces are expressive in the same way humans are. "I'm not sure how much I can help you with though. I didn't see any sign she was under, and I don't know what would have infected her."
"I don't have memories from before a month ago. Can you tell me what we were working on in the meantime?"
Her ears perking. "Actually, that's interesting. We've really only had one case this month, that's the Shattered Veil."
"Shattered Veil?" You access data, letting it integrate as she talks.
"They're what some people, like Mags, are claiming is the cities new and scarier insurgent network. They seem to be a mixed group, Nalpunda and Ascend, their core group is based around some old local enforcement organization. Mags and the higher ups are big into them."
"You don't sound like you rate them much."
"They're very violent. They try to be scary and they have good PR, a professional social media operation based on devices that upload to social media profiles while abandoned. However, their actual operations are a lot more primitive than most of the big insurgency groups. They're usually effectively suicidal, either by a living person or a drone. Insert them into an area, do damage, die. It's far less advanced than what the Three Fold Brotherhood is pulling off."
"And how did I take to it?"
"You were about as you always are. Motivated. I didn't notice putting more into it than before."
