    You've decided to split your time between guarding Minaka (or one of his decoys) and holding classes about the Moonlit World. The man may be crazy, but not only did he pay well, he was one of the few allies you could say was on your side. With the Moonlit Classes, you hope to limit the number of incidents that cost lives. Before your announcement last year, the JSDF ignored your pleas for help, even though they proved unneeded at the time, but now they want help learning about the Moonlit World now that they know exists.

    Speaking of the JSDF, they had requested a certain kind of manga from Irisviel, one which showed them in a positive light against magi they might oppose, in order to help with recruitment efforts. In between issues, she'd also look into trying to cure or work around Hayate's condition, so that she'd be able to have a longer life.

    You're not entirely sure what Maiya will do once she gets out of prison. With a criminal record, businesses will be hesitant to hire her from now on, save for a few functions. If all else fails, she could just stick to translating the manga that Irisviel creates…

    Of course, there is the matter of the children of the household… and Miyu and Kuro start elementary school next March...

    Crunch time for my classes, so this took longer than what I'd have liked. Vote and discuss all you wish, but it may be a couple of weeks before I update again.

    I am surprised there has been little analysis of the 'Stirrings of War' Interlude; it is full of information of going-ons in response to your recent actions, which might prove elightening.

    • Goddamn that's a hard choice for Shirou's event! So many of those are so good! Going down the list in order:
    • We don't want Kyoko to make a Contract.
    • Nanoha's an important ally to keep, because she's got tons of power and she wouldn't abandon her friends even if the world hates them.
    • Yuuno is awesome to have around, both for defense and research, and Shirou needs some male friends.
    • Meeting Sayaka sounds interesting, but I'd put that lower priority since she's safe for now.
    • Getting shipped with Hayate is a path to massive power for Shirou.
    • Being on better terms with Rin and/or Sakura can't hurt.
    • We really should do something about that Jewel Seed eventually..........

    Could Hayate study the practical aspects of Midchildan magecraft that don't require actually being a magus? Stuff like building/repairing Devices and how to use machines to safely poke at Lost Logia in order to study them?

    A veteran warrior (who regrets what they've become after a bad run-in with a wish granter) encounters S, who is in danger from being in the proximity of their battle. They save S, and act as their mentor before eventually dying. S swears to become a hero of justice and take up their ideals, eventually making a contract with the same entity their mentor did in order to protect the town. With the ability to summon an infinite number of blades, they selflessly fight for others, ignoring the advice of the time-traveller who tells them that they're being a fool. A girl associated with the color red, (who struggles with being honest about what they want and [Pretends that she] is very selfish) ends up changing from being an enemy to a friend, but eventually, S is betrayed by and drowns in their ideals and falls into despair. Ultimately, they become an in-human entity that can rewrite reality to their own thoughts.

    Community connection because the family in general is getting disconnected from the world, so Shirou gets to exploit his Helpful trait.

    Kendo because I didn't realize his skill was THAT low, he's going to be fighting, no questions, and at his present skill he'll die.

    Underworld Knowledge because we're going to be dealing with a bunch of backstabby bastards.

    Very hard choices. I'm torn between getting the Jewel Seed matter sorted out before he winds up in serious combat, full time powerleveling, or contacting Rin so that we might try to bargain the grief seed cost down.

    Unfortunately Hayate's getting left out of a kids event this year(fortunately the adults are spending time on her), the news of the Grail corruption MUST go out, or when the Grail War arrives things will get seriously nasty.

    Sayaka is dumber about Honor Before Reason than Shirou.

    Shirou is willing to accept aid from immoral people when their interests align, and is willing to receive personal aid when nobody else is in immediate danger. Shirou accepted being healed by Kirei, but Sayaka refused to touch grief seeds that Homura and Kyoko had any hand in obtaining.

    Shirou charged in and fought Berserker because he didn't want to let a girl fight. :V
    Hell, when he battled Archer, he could have had Saber interfere but decided to do so himself.

    He didn't want to let saber fight. because she got like half her torso ripped out by berserker. He's not actually sexist, last I checked.

    That's something they're equally stupid about. Sayaka would probably react the same in that situation. Also, Shirou at least listens a little bit when he's scolded about that.

    Oh, and for those of you who want to reduce Shirou's distortion, meeting Sayaka right now is probably a bad idea. Best to wait until after Iskandar has some time to make Sayaka a bit less recklessly stupid.

    Yeah, that's my point. I'm arguing that Shirou does the whole "honor before reason" thing plenty himself. :V
    The legendary warrior spirit of one of humanity's most famous heroes who was summoned to do battle got their torso ripped in two almost effortlessly? Well, I better go in myself.

    Shes is to weak to even stand ? then how the hell is it that she has enough strenght to cook or even interact with people ? I figured her problems where specialy worse in the legs, but beyond that you have to keep three things in mind:
    first, there are many kinds of guns, is all a matter of finding one she can handle, and the whole point of the focus is learning to handle guns,
    second she is wellchair bound, this is a advantage since depending on the gun she can anchor it on her chair for extra stability (who knows she may even get a minigun ), and last but not least
    third, the whole fucking family is composed of fucking wizards who live in what is to become japan capitol of magic,if she can't handle recoil someone builds a magic gun who uses the enegy of the recoil to propel the bulets faster, seriously never underestimate how mundane problems can be solved with a large enought aplication of magic

    Canon Hayate cooks for a family of 5 while restrained to a wheelchair with completely useless legs...............while nine years old.....
    .......after living alone for a few years and cooking for herself.

    Shirou at this level of distortion will die if he doesn't have strong bonds. Hayate can do it.
