Okay, it appears we are getting the data core of Tzaron, the husk and the krork arsenal, that's a lot of things to research and use. I'm the most intrigued by the krork arsenal, I really wanna see what weapons and equipment are there.
The arsenal isn't that of a Warlord, or even that of a Krork team of specialists, more just what the grunts had, and maybe their Mechanic.

I'm hoping as the Core, we can contribute to Research whilst we leaving Expansion to the Scarabs now.. I hope.
Oh, that is possible, but there are restrictions you were placed under to stop a "Grey Goo" scenario, so you would need to break them or avoid them to Research. Also, the reason you are getting so many goodies from Reclaiming is because you, yourself are doing it. The Scarabs would just have eaten the intact Data-Vault, for instance.

Eh it's always something, and hey, if there's stuff from a mechanic that's pretty good, sure it could be better but it's always something.

Although I do really want to know what are the actual weapons and gear on display, I wanna see what we are playing with.

More like a bio-transference station above the advanced one, stuff like the lychguard/Cryptguard and death marks aren't commonly soldiery, they are the elite of the necrontyr and not as limited as the warriors or immortals.
Forgot to say anything about this when it was posted, but the Advanced Biotransference would allow you to get the top tier units, including the Noble ones. Also, your converted units would retain a bit more of their selves than the regular necrons, as their souls wouldn't get gnawed down to nothing by C'tan, cause you don't have any of those.

Update is also going decently.

Alright good to know, that's something to keep in mind then when it comes to biotransference, but in any case we will have a lot of stuff to get through I feel once the update drops. I mean we have a data core to go through, the krork arsenal and a husk of a C'tan, what c'tan I don't exactly know but we'll see.

Also I did some digging and the bronze colour of our necrons might point to the Nekthyst or novokh dynasties, mor probably Nekthyst since it's closer to their actual colour scheme, probably not that relevant but it's interesting.

Edit: once again @VoidofEyes sorry but my curiosity is killing me, would you say void combat would play any significant role in this quest?

Good guess on the Dynasty, but not quite there.

Void Combat will probably play a part, but not yet, as you will need to get the Space Hulk under your control and get it propulsion systems, as no other factions have proper vessels for space. There are some funky little guys near the Genestealer entrance point, but they are system bound.

Huh, then WHAT exactly was the dynasty? Definitely not sautekh or szarekhian, maybe meprit.

Also fair on the void combat there, the hulk is not even remotely under our control and it's subsystems are probably a horrible mishmash of relays and systems. Honestly I think we might need a daemon for this.

Nah, just a Sufficiently Powerful Calculating Engine with a built-in universal translator.
Or we can just cannibalize the existing stuff for raw materials to rebuild it in accordance with Necron engineering principles.
Or don't bother, pull an Ork and just stick a giga-engine on one side so that we can exit somewhere. In space, if brute force doesn't solve your problem, you're not using enough brute force.

Worst comes to worst, couldn't we just cannibalise sections to see if we can get something working? Hell just get a lot of necrodermis generators and try to get a dirge or jackal and just skedaddle. It would be hell expensive but we could do it.

And yeah we could just do that but I'd prefer if we had a degree of control over the hulk, so, the daemon idea.

Sorry to say this, but my muse has fallen off of this idea for now.
I think it is in part my fault, because I have to get into the core's mindset to write the updates, which isn't a fun place to be, as it is apathetic and angry, two things I am very familar with, but as I am trying to not lose the progress I have made with my own mental health, I will have to put this idea down.

On the bright side of things, I have had a better (for my mindset) idea, and will probably be getting it up as soon as I can.
The idea involves playing as a monster, but death isn't the end for you.

Ah that's a shame, there very few core quests around, especially in 40k but that's understandable if the muse kind of dissappears. Still, I'm kinda sad now because I was really excited to play this out.

Eh, it is kinda sad that you need to abandon this but don't worry, your health is more important.

I can't wait to see your another quest!
