Bone and Blood (Naruto Quest)

[X] Use your kekkei genkai to finish this in one stroke. Nobody else is around. The rest of the Ame-nin are fighting rather far away, and the rest of the surviving members of the rearline team are far enough away that they can't see you. A combination of Wind Style and Hibiscus Dance should be enough to cut him down in an instant.

AIAT!

Let us test ourselves against the strength of a man who made himself into a fortress. Pitting strength against strength, let only the blade that cuts deepest prevail.

AIAT!

I almost feel sorry for this guy, he's really boned now.

A tool we always fear to use is a wasted tool.

Plus, how else are we supposed to train on using our kekkei genkai? :V

The other choices are slow, which isn't acceptable, and the bone powers are going to be discovered eventually anyways.

I'd give it a fair chance this person survives from a strike, tho not from several afters. Kekkei genkai's meant to be a trump after all.

we need to kill him fast, and I'm sick of hiding the kekkei genkai anyway so I don't really care about the risk of discovery even if it is small.

Yeah. Voting is now closed!

There isn't going to be a dark horse winning this with an hour and a half left.

Campaign 4: Mission 3: Dance
"You may not be able to keep up, huh?" You query, letting your eyes wander around the forest. There's nobody near you, and the sounds of fighting from the main groups are more than far enough away that you're sure nobody is paying attention to you. Considering that, making up your mind isn't difficult. "Then," your right foot slides out, and you slip your left hand out of its tattered sleeve, in the same motion, you bend your left leg and flick your right arm out of its blood-soaked sleeve, "you'd better not blink."

He responds silently, simply wrapping a length of chain around both fists and steadily growing larger. The makeshift knuckles, like the rest of his clothes and gear, grow along with him. Which is fine, that just gives you a bigger target.

With your shoulders and arms completely uncovered, you shift your weight down, feeling the mushroom beneath you give way slightly, and flex your chakra. In what you know is a gory display to anyone who has the pleasure of watching the Shikotsumyaku in action, the skin along both arms and across your back splits open, revealing a copy of the bones that normally sit beneath that skin and the musculature that lies between them. With some effort, a spear of hardened bone as long as your arm span emerges, and you turn your right hand upward to grip the makeshift handle that was your pinky, index, and middle fingers. Your skin closes up as the copies of your shoulder blades and radii and ulnae fold out, turning the spear into a hardened blade almost half again as long as you are tall.

The Akimichi, who towered over you before he was four meters tall, bears down on you like an avalanche. His eyes are panicked, but all you really take notice of are the head-sized links of chain wrapped around his, even proportionally, oversized knuckles.

It's not enough. Wind Style: Makhana Dance cuts your opponent down in a flash. Between the Wind chakra wreathed around both ends of the bones molded into a shallowly-curved and wickedly sharp scythe, and your own enhanced strength driving the strike, it's just as you said. You cut your opponent down in the blink of an eye, Wind keening as it carves through his Yang energy-reinforced body for an instant before both halves of him slam onto the mushroom beneath you, sliding across the massive fungus' cap and leaving a trail of vital blood the whole way.

"Y- what are you?" The second Konoha-nin you brought down manages to wheeze out.

You stab the spear through his neck, then his girlfriend's. Just in case.

Somewhere else, nearby but not close enough to have heard your exchange, a monkey disappears into a puff of smoke.

[] Take the time to reabsorb the scythe. Because of how condensed they are, it will take some time. Not a lot of time, but every second does count on the battlefield.

[] Stuff the scythe into the mushroom, hide it as best you can. There's no way you're coming back for it later, so you'll just have to hope that it isn't discovered.

[] Break the scythe apart and keep it up your sleeves. You can even use the new bone weapons against your upcoming opponents, you'll just have to keep up your sleight of hand.

[] Just use it against the Konoha-nin that got away. The surviving Ame-nin from the rear of your formation won't know what it is, and if they have any idea what it is, they won't say anything. Not if they're smart.

[] Write-in.

Voting closes at !

A/N: Special thanks to @Floom for the omake, the newest Dance took inspiration from that. It's not quite Hibiscus or Eaglery, but something of a middle ground. It's also specifically a Wind Style technique, without the chakra it would just be Larch/Hibiscus. If Tsubaki was able to use Fire Style on a higher level, that combination would be Fire Style: Red Amaranth Dance. Makhanas are the name for the edible seed of the prickly water lily, but that would have been a mouthful, and while I did want to call it 'Gorgon Plant Dance', I didn't like the idea of having 'plant' be in a technique's name. Makhana refers to the technique's motion, while the same characters used for red amaranth are used for tumbleweeds in Japanese, and that name is in reference to how tumbleweeds cause forest fires.

A/N2: Breaking these up to cut off the ramble, and I know this one is shorter, but more structure than "kill guy go help" sounded better than just doing that. This should be the mission's last vote. Not that these options are perfect, but sometimes these late night updates have me running on E.

I really don't care about hiding Shikotsumyaku anymore

Liking this. More for the speed than the secrecy, if I had to choose between the two. Though I do appreciate the secrecy and using sleight of hand.

Fast, some effort in continuing to hide our bloodline, and takes the evidence with us. I like this combo myself.

I'm perfectly willing to start loosening our information control on our bloodline, but we shouldn't just throw our efforts at keeping it hush-hush to the wind.
