As a reminder, most of the student movement of the sixties was the thwarting of the US Military's plans for Vietnam. We must keep up the pressure.
Well this is awkward. We were planning to build more nuclear power plants, and now they're asking about nuclear disarmament. This is rife with misunderstanding.
Our credibility in the developing world is also incredibly important for us. Vietnam is not merely a chess piece we can negotiate away for better US relations. Supporting our Vietnamese allies is the right thing to do.
Assuming the US fully pulls out, yeah. Vietnamization didn't let our army begin to stand on it's own two feet even after the US fully withdrew in the 70s since we were so reliant on American artillery and aerial support, so a 60s withdrawl before it even starts would be hectic. Of course, there's the issue that that also included Soviet equipment being shipped to the PAVN in the same amount of time, but I'm gonna guess that Wallace didn't call Mao, so China can act as a kind of loophope regarding socialist aid to the North.Do you think the North Vietnamese can handle this on their own or no
Edit: @Karen May I ask how does this stance differ from the one aiming for support until South Vietnam got eaten?
My question is - do events outside the USSR depend on the roll of the die? Or do you define it differently?

They don't though, the missile gap was always a lie.Given they have a massive advantage in nuclear weapons then we should agree to this in principle at least.
