    Love your quest! Maybe too much: I went looking for xianxia and the end result was a lot of "ARGLEBARGLE THIS STUFF IS UNREADABLE." Do you have any personal recommendations?

    Thanks for the rec! World of Cultivation had a significantly stronger start than anything else I looked at. Admittedly, I'm getting distracted by all the Chinese not because there's so much untranslated foreign text but because I'm studying Chinese so I feel obligated to go and try to remember these new terms. :V

    You're welcome. Yeah WoC avoids some of the cringier xianxia tropes. Which I will admit that there are a lot of. Hoping I can avoid them myself in my writing. Gotta get through the slow paced beginning stuff before I can really think about most of them though.

    Forty Millenniums of Cultivation is also a really good novel, if you can get past having to pay out the nose to read it off webnovel.com. Desolate Era is another good 'traditional' wuxia novel, as is Martial World. I also liked Heavenly Jewel Change. Everything else off WuxiaWorld is either good but unfinished, or varying levels of meh, in my opinion.
