OOC

A strange group of people find themselves in an unfamiliar place. They awaken in a large circular room that is completely empty with the sole exceptions of the lights installed inside the ceiling. Little do they know that they have been selected for one of the most dangerous arenas in existence. Eventually, a speaker crackles to life, and a voice can be heard. "You have been selected to BATTLE for gloooryyy and trreasurrre. Fight. Win. Liiivvvve..."

Once the voice finishes speaking, the lights turn on, and they are uncomfortably bright.

My body felt like cold, hard steel, and was stronger than normal. I no longer felt the need for food nor drink, and I required little rest and comfort, compared to before. My vision felt different, sharper even, as if I could zoom in or out on my own, and as if I could more accurately judge distances. Whatever I looked at was lit, as if I was pointing a flashlight at that direction. My sense of hearing became more sensitive, which I can somehow regulate at will, and I no longer had the sense of smell. There was also what seemed to be an internal debate going on at the back of my mind, with about a thousand or so perspectives involved, all communicating at what seemed to be lightspeed, and I could somehow comprehend at least some of what they were talking about, on instinct, even though I wasn't really paying attention. Lastly, I felt the presence of a separate sea of memories aside from mine, and upon skimming its surface on instinct, learned that it belonged to Legion, a terminal of the Geth... How in the world did I somehow end up as a Geth?!

"You have been selected to BATTLE for gloooryyy and trreasurrre. Fight. Win. Liiivvvve..."

...What? Is this the Hunger Games or something?

the lights turn on, and they are uncomfortably bright.

My eye, my eye!

Who are these other people? Are they in the same situation as me? Are they my allies, or my enemies?

"Umm, hello? My name is... Legion. Who are you guys?"

I awoke to the very odd sensation of having two bodies. It was confusing, awkwardly trying to stand with separate bodies of very different build, and the two high school students awkwardly sat their trying to get their bearings.
Eventually, a speaker crackles to life, and a voice can be heard. "You have been selected to BATTLE for gloooryyy and trreasurrre. Fight. Win. Liiivvvve..."
What? Fighting? Why me? I wasn't some renowned fighter or anything. Was it bec-
Once the voice finishes speaking, the lights turn on, and they are uncomfortably bright.
Four eyes squinted in response, and two hands instinctively reached out and pullet the brims of caps to protect the bodies' eyes.
"Umm, hello? My name is... Legion. Who are you guys?"
"Hello?" Two voices came out simultaneously, one a gruff male who probably smoked, the other a very preppy young woman. The two looked at each other, then themselves, before a panicked look was on both their faces. The sleeves of the woman's jacket seemingly moved by themselves, white gloves on the end, randomly grasping at air, as both whispered to themselves "Star Platinum" and a heavily muscled blue Tarzan emerged from the boy, visible only to the more mystically inclined.

"I'm, uh," the two continued speaking in unison, "Well, it looks like I'm two people. Jotaro and Mako." The two looked to the others in the room.

I woke up with the headache to end all headaches. More than that... I hurt. Everything, just... I rubbed my face, weary, and was shocked by just how hairy it was. It hadn't been that long since I shaved, right...? Gah. I couldn't think straight. I needed to find the lights and get my bearings.

"You have been selected to BATTLE for gloooryyy and trreasurrre. Fight. Win. Liiivvvve..."

I... what?

The hell was that? Did I leave the TV on? I wish I could just clear my head...

Once the voice finishes speaking, the lights turn on, and they are uncomfortably bright.

Gah, bright! I shielded my eyes as they adjusted. Everything seemed... odd. Tinted strange colors... and was my vision... pulsing? Oh, god, I think I need to lie down...

Of course, this is when I got a look at the hands. I say the hands, because they weren't mine. The hands I'd been rubbing my face with were filthy, the nails cracked. I looked down at myself.

Filthy green coat with some odd weights in the pockets over a mud-splattered shirt. Tattered, worn trousers, held up by a knotted rope instead of a belt. Battered brown shoes. At my feet was a soggy paper bag, which, upon further inspection, contained a bottle of something cheap and strong. And... was I wearing a paper bag on my head?

Oh, god. I think I know exactly who I am. I swallow (and oh god, my mouth tastes terrible) and become aware of a constant, dull muttering in the back of my head.

"Umm, hello? My name is... Legion. Who are you guys?"

Oh, what the hell, it's a robot, it's a goddamn... wait. That robot-thing looks familiar. Mass Effect, right?

Shit, I wish I'd played those.

"I'm, uh," the two continued speaking in unison, "Well, it looks like I'm two people. Jotaro and Mako."

And... more people? Wait, one person that was two people? They were speaking in unison, and good lord, that was creepy.

God, I wish I could just THINK.

Well... at least I recognized these ones... or one of them, at least. Jotaro, I knew, and Mako I knew of. Again, something I should really get around to following up. Should have gotten around to. Whatever.

Seemed these people were like me... only, they'd gotten a hell of a lot of a better deal out of it. Well, if we were introducing ourselves in character...

Well this was...not my room? I thought confused as I slowly pushed myself up, letting out a groan as I heard the shifting of metal that seemed to accompany my movements, a hydraulic sound reaching my ears as I reached out with my arm to take my...
"Glasses?", I gasped in confusion and stumbled up from my lying position, noticing the heavy weight on my back...which was decidedly not my notebook in its usual bag and neither did I have any idea how I could see sharp and clear with the familiar weight of my glasses on my nose. What I did see...when had I turned blonde? Reaching up to grasp some of the strands hanging into my vision I froze as I saw the dark red material of armored gloved hands...which were....mine?

"You have been selected to BATTLE for gloooryyy and trreasurrre. Fight. Win. Liiivvvve..."

The loud booming voice snapped me out of my musing and I looked up and about, seeing multiple dark shapes moving in the dim room too, from what I could see...and hear: they were just as confused as me. I took a step forward, the armor...I was quite sure the weight which pressed down on me with every movement but was at the same time so...familiar...was from the red metal which seemed to form a protective armor around me.

Once the voice finishes speaking, the lights turn on, and they are uncomfortably bright.

Suddenly the room fills with gasps and I barely shield my eyes, before I start to blink slowly, trying to get rid of the small stars playing over my eyes, as I took a deep breath and looked around once more. Together with me in the room....or at least thew first few I could see so far, were a strange boy and a girl: both shielding their faces with their caps....a quite...well...man who had seen better days I think....and a....Geth?

"Umm, hello? My name is... Legion. Who are you guys?"

I chuckled dryly and shook my head:
"Legion...didn't you give your life up to give the Collective individuality or something?", I mused as I remembered back to the time when I played Mass Effect...and only then noticed my own voice sounding strangely mature and gruff if compared to my normal one...but I was still able to turn to face the next set of...strangely synchronized voices:

"Well, it looks like I'm two people. Jotaro and Mako."

I shook my head at this....A Geth and...some kind of entity inhabiting both of those bodies at once...well if one looked at their costumes and then at the way each of their faces moved with the same expressions at the same time...

"Aren't you two from...some kind of anime? I think my sister got a poster in her room with...",

I blinked and looked down at myself and tilted my head lightly to look at my back, trying for the first time to identify the additional weights on my back and on both sides of my hips...only then I smiled wryly and gave the third person in the room a light wave, nodding:

"'M Docshter Hobo-" Oh god is that my voice what the shit happened to my VOICE "- 'n I shinks I got shcrewed over when dey wash handin' out deh new bodiesh."

"Seems like it...but being stuck in two bodies seems just as impractical...and at least you do still feel something, no idea how it works for our local tinman.", I try to say a bit encouragingly, before turning to face all three of them, inclining my head politely as I say:

"Well....you can call me Sarah if you wish so, I sadly can't forward a good alias for my current body...",

slowly I do get used to this being...well not a dream or nightmare and the iconography, style and weaponry that came with this form did seem to point towards one particular organization. Lets hope that this will be better than The Last Stand in Dawn of War II.

I wake up, sat on a cold hard floor. I get to my feet, wondering just where I am.

I don't own a dress like this... Hell, I don't own any dresses? The hell is going on!

As I look round the large room, seeing a Geth, the annoying girl from Kill la Kill, the guy with star platinum from JoJo's adventures, a... Hobo? Huh, a large dragon thing, and a few others, I start to realise just what's happened.
I pull at my hair and don't see my usual colour. It's now purple, vivid as a bruise.

I'm my avatar. I'm Rize.

As I think this, I can remember foggily things I know I've never done. I remember fighting with my Kagune, I remember the glorious taste of human flesh. A lot of human flesh. Like, most of my memories involve eating. I remember a black haired boy named Kaneki ken, leading him into a alley, trying to eat him, then pain. Continual pain. Untill it stops, but the memories after that are blurred and confused, so I stop trying to recolect them. As I emerge from my recollections, I realise I am salivating at the thought of eating people.

Eventually, a speaker crackles to life, and a voice can be heard. "You have been selected to BATTLE for gloooryyy and trreasurrre. Fight. Win. Liiivvvve..."
The voice seems to come from everywhere at once, like a proclamation of doom.
Glory? Treasure? Some BROB turning me into my avatar? God, why did I join forums.
Once the voice finishes speaking, the lights turn on, and they are uncomfortably bright.

The lights flash on, and I realise that my enhanced senses were the only thing letting me see. My eyes adjust in less than a second, and I look around at the large empty room.

"Umm, hello? My name is... Legion. Who are you guys?"
Legion? Of course the Geth would be the most famous of his kind. He would be useful in a fight, the aforementioned battle, and that was all that seemed to matter right now.

"I'm, uh," the two continued speaking in unison, "Well, it looks like I'm two people. Jotaro and Mako." The two looked to the others in the room.
Two people start speeking in sync. Jotaro, that JoJo guy, and Mako the kill la kill girl seem to be the same person. Since they are two people, surely they wouldn't mind if I ate one of... I rip my thoughts away from what seemed to be well used lines. Focus.

"'M Docshter Hobo-" Oh god is that my voice what the shit happened to my VOICE "- 'n I shinks I got shcrewed over when dey wash handin' out deh new bodiesh."
The hobo then speaks, in a slurring voice that I can't even determine the accent of. He seemed drunk. Fun.

No one else spoke for a while, so to avoid an interregnum I spoke.

"I'm Rize Kamishiro, a cannibal. You'll know me better as Estro, if your in the same situation I'm in."

//BTW, the OCC link is broken, it links to the IC page.

"Aren't you two from...some kind of anime? I think my sister got a poster in her room with...",
The two glanced at him, before looking at each other again.

"Uh, sort of. Mako's from Kill la Kill, and Jotaro's from JoJo..." Star Platinum began to dissipate back into Jotaro,
"I'm Rize Kamishiro, a cannibal. You'll know me better as Estro, if your in the same situation I'm in."
And immediately emerged again. Jotaro and Mako seemed to focus for a second, before the former spoke.

"Do we...have to worry about the eating part?"

"Legion...didn't you give your life up to give the Collective individuality or something?"
"...This is not my original body. I have two sets of memories. One belongs to Legion, all 1183 runtimes that compose him. The other belongs to me. You can just call me Legion for convenience, however..."

"Seems like it...but being stuck in two bodies seems just as impractical...and at least you do still feel something, no idea how it works for our local tinman."
"...Certainly not the same way as when I was in my original body..."

"I'm Rize Kamishiro, a cannibal. You'll know me better as Estro, if your in the same situation I'm in."
"...So I'm not the only one from SV? Hello there, Yoda. My username was UbeOne..."

My eyes are welded shut with tears as the unmistakable sound of metal piercing flesh runs through my ears and I feel her still warm body fall upon me.

She's smiling Why is she smiling? Why is she crying? She's hugging me, why is she hugging me after what I've done?

Why...why did she have to...to...

~ ~ ~

I open my eyes to a strange room filled with strange people. Tears are still rolling down my cheeks even as my hand twitches, even as I keep a firm grip on my sword.

Kahlua-neesan...

Naturally, I wasn't quite aware enough to notice my aura beginning to leak out, tinting the air blood red.

I opened my eyes to the sound of unrecognizable voices. There was no way this was my room... And then I heard the one saying something about fighting. But I was normal! How could I fight? And I got my answer as I stood up. This wasn't my body... And then I felt the power through me. Certainly interesting. But I knew I could fight now. I gave a small smirk with my new gender being what I'd wanted.

I felt as if my entire body, now heavy and massive, was made from jelly, and while I could at least see, I had a hard time telling how close things where. However, at least it was at longer distances.

Eventually, a speaker crackles to life, and a voice can be heard. "You have been selected to BATTLE for gloooryyy and trreasurrre. Fight. Win. Liiivvvve..."

Even before I make my first ungainly movements in this new body, I am assaulted with this message. I soon realize I am in an arena. Wait, oh fuck.

I take some clumsy steps before falling over, as if my body was made out of jello. This is gonna suck.

Once the voice finishes speaking, the lights turn on, and they are uncomfortably bright.

Suddenly, I close my singular eye, turning my head to the ground, while saying in a smooth, deep voice which wasn't at all mines, "can someone turn down the lights? It's seriously bright here."

" So, no, your fine."

I look around a bit nervously, so far everyone else seemed to be rather....in character so to say...and I faintly remember that particular Glutton from one bored afternoon....I guess we will have to keep her away from randomly falling steel beams.

Naturally, I wasn't quite aware enough to notice my aura beginning to leak out, tinting the air blood red.

A hint that something might be wrong, was the faint rise in red color in my field of vision and my hand automatically clenched around the hilt of my sword...physker...a hateful voice in the back of my head snarled...a memory rising....and me clamping down on it again quickly as I turned to regard the newest appearance and notice:

-ange? No: this was far stranger. With both of my hands now crossed before me, each hand gripping a weapon I stared up the large gelatinous....creature that had joined us in this room...right now no one seemed to be fighting...but if we were going to fight each other? It might be better to stay away from...him? For now..
With all of this happening it might have been a bit hard to notice the green haired swordswoman who had also joined us...but at least she seemed a bit more "normal" than everyone else and my new instincts seemed to be bit less jumpy with something human to concentrate on.

'Deep breaths Kokoa...deep breaths.' I thought as I breathed in and out to the furthest extent my lungs would allow, the red tint fading from the air.

After a few moments I felt calmed enough to turn my attention from internal matters to external, and opened my eyes to those around me.

'Okay Kokoa, you're a proud Vampire of the Shuzen line. You can't be seen looking like a weeping school girl, Neesan would be ashamed!' And with that in mind, I tightened my grip on my sword, fighting down the twitches that had been wracking my arms as I looked at the odd-looking robot with a mild glare.

"I don't think 'killing' you would actually bring anyone honor....so allies....I suppose."

I then felt something in me, something which knew how this clumsy, gelatinous body worked, help me pick myself up. I felt my arms and legs become easier to move as I pushed myself upwards...and then began to fall backwards.
Oh fuuuuuuuck.

"I remember you! You were Windu! Your avatar was a Geth, now I come to think of it...."

Naturally, I wasn't quite aware enough to notice my aura beginning to leak out, tinting the air blood red.
The blood red mist was on almost the opposite side of the room to me, but I was curious enough about the crying girl. It wasn't a negative that she was cute enough to eat.... That was terrible, and I should feel bad. I grinned ferally at first, before it faded into a more sedate smile. To distract my mind from the - mostly defenseless my mind reminded me- girl, I spent a moment flexing the muscle that my memories Rize's memories should activate my kagune. Six tentacles burst from underneath my dress and moved instinctively. I did a couple of half remembered maovers - including bouncing off the gelatinous dragon - and when ever I couldn't remember muscle memory kicked in, ensuring that everything was fine.

"Allies is the reasonable thing to do, yes." I stood down, but in a burst of impetuous jumped to Legion grabbing the eye-stalk with both hands and grinning crazily "But I'm hungry"

-Wait. SV people? But these weren't people I regularly had contact with. Ah well. I'd leave that for now.

And then I looked at the group. "My name is Arya. And you all are?"

"Allies is the reasonable thing to do, yes." I stood down, but in a burst of impetuous jumped to Legion grabbing the eye-stalk with both hands and grinning crazily "But I'm hungry"
I attempted to fend off Estro/Rize. "Please don't eat me! I'm not tasty at all!"

Bouncing off my side, I felt the tentacle. Rolling on to my hands and feet, I finally picked myself up in a way which didn't result in falling to the ground.

Seeing her jump upon Legion, I tread behind her, until my head is right by her ear. Then, I say, "you know, I could eat YOU."

I attempted to fend off Estro/Rize. "Please don't eat me! I'm not tasty at all!"
"You're metal. I can't eat you." Thinking for a second, I lift him up with almost complete ease.
"Or maybe ceramics and plastics. Wow, you're light."
"My name is Arya. And you all are?"
Leaping away from Legion, I bound over to Arya with a grin.
"Heeellllloo! I'm Estro! And you're soooo cute!" I hug her enthusiasticly, then put her down and step away from her.
"Are you a pokemon! You look like a pokemon. Pokemon are cool. I wonder if pokemon taste good. Do you???"
"you know, I could eat YOU."
"Nah, you couldn't. I could just rip out. I would need a shower though. Please don't, I have new hair. Like brand new. I have new hair! Cool! Wonder if my regeneration would stop hair dye?"

Groaning lightly I take a step back, standing with my back firmly to the wall behind me and my hands on my two weapons...the familiar...or not so familiar weight of my jump pack promising me a fast way out...as long as the ceiling wasn't too low. It might be a good coincidence that the latest members showed interested in the Abominable Intelligence.: the ghoul, the vampire and the gelatinous thing might be less prone to eating him and maybe we can keep all of them together in one happy, hungry pack...

I considered what she said, and decided to not continue that pattern, moving my head away, although drooling mucus on to her shoulder. "You make a very good point."

'Is she a yōkai? I can't sense much more spiritual energy around her than a human though....' I thought absently as I observed the strange girls and her tentacles.

Of course, it would have been much to fortunate for me if this went smoothly.

And she leapt across the room at the metal thing. Even though I could see that she wouldn't be attacking it, her energy telling me that much, I couldn't quite stop myself from giving a mental command to Ko-chan to shift into a more...suitable form to deal with more durable opponents.

Leaping away from Legion, I bound over to Arya with a grin.

Unfortunate that I could only predict the creature's actions by a second or two, otherwise I'd be able to know whether the girl would actually attack the 'pokemon'.

Still, whatever this place was, I can't afford to take any chances....even if it'd be so much easier to just sit down and cry my eyes out.

"If you touch her...I'm going to have to put you down." I stated coldly, glaring at the offending not-yōkai.

That I muttered "...wonder whether your blood will taste good..." under my breath afterwords was surely noticed by no one....at all.
