You are in charge of the Unified Westerosi Police Service

Zor

More of a Zor than You
In this scenario, you are placed by ROB charge of a special operation: namely being in charge of the Unified Westerosi Police Service.

The UWPS has some 30,000 sworn officers (20% of which are female) equipped in a similar manner to that of the RCMP (including a Red Serge style dress uniform). The biggest exception is that all firearms have a Dredd Pattern anti-theft mechanism. Simply put this is a palm reader in the grip of every gun, if someone who is not a member of the UWPS pulls the trigger on one of these guns it will not fire. In addition there are some 90,000 support staff. You also have a number of C-130s for transporting cargo. Your cops are all decent enough in their way. It is deployed in 290 AC.

The UWPS enforces Canadian Criminal Code as it is in 2016 with a notable point: Bellum est fabula. A knight on campaign is nothing more than a thief and a murderer. An army on campaign is nothing more than either mob or gang of thieves, rapists and murderers. They are at the very least to be convinced to go home and stop this foolishness before someone gets killed.

The UWPS has ten divisions...
  • Division A (Peel): Kingdom wide operations
  • Division B (Vimes): Crownlands and Blackwater Bay
  • Division C (Steele): The North
  • Division D (von Uberward): The Reach
  • Division E (Angel): The Westerlands
  • Division F (Gordon): The Riverlands
  • Division G (Detritus): The Vale
  • Division H (Tibbs): Dorne and the Stepstones
  • Division I (Ironfounderson): The Stormlands
  • Division J (Nobbs): Iron Islands
The majority of these people are based in Police Enclaves with each district having it's own near the capital of said region. Basically these are walled communities in which are modern apartment housing for officers and support staff in apartment complexes, support facilities for vehicles and similar, training facilities, medical facilities, vertical farms, training facilities, recreational facilities, etc. Said bases have defensive turrets. Each takes in provisions both from local sources as well as regular space drops of more advanced supplies made in automated factories. In addition their are also a hundred local Police Stations in the cities and major towns of Westeros and in the countryside as local bases of operation. You can also accept new recruits from the local population. Attached to each facility is a court and prison. Each district has it's own Japanese style mascot.

Please note that you have a Job to do and that job is not declaring yourself king or driving the UWPS into the ground. You have a fair amount of leeway in how you do things, BUT you still have to do your Job.

The faceless men have been paid off with 500,000 dragons to not target you for assassination or your cops. They'll stick with the contract.

What do you do and what happens?

I am offended that there is not an Ironfoundersson division, yet we have a Nobbs division.
