The Beginning

It had been a night like any other, people were driving home, some going to clubs, others resting peacefully in their beds. The peace was calming, a lull of security and protection surrounded people as they rested. It was a perfect night, as if the world had finally found peace with itself. However, everything was not as it seems…

A neon green and silvery chrome object came streaking towards the ground, with the fires of reentry surrounding it. It struck the ground in the center of a German city, drawing interest of the people around it. People stepped towards it with curiosity, wary of the glowing object that had landed in the middle of the street. Soon it opened up, releasing a green gas that surrounded most of the people around them, and soon chaos followed.

Hours later…

A dropship had landed near the extraterrestrial object, unloading a team of four individuals wearing the logo of a specialized organization on their vests. Each of them was wary of the wrecked city streets being lit up by the flickering street lights, each light flashing on and off in the midnight darkness.

First up was Konrad Blackburn, a rough looking young man hailing from America. His black hair was messy and not up to the standard of XCOM, but they let it slide due to how effective he was during his service in the Navy Seals. He was a bit sour around others, but kept quiet about it while keeping an eye on the others. His callsign for the mission was 'Delta-1'.

As for his comrade, a young woman hailing from Canada, was Elise Historia. A cheery and excitable person, wearing her golden hair in a well trimmed ponytail and her glasses on neatly. She served two terms in Canada's Military, and was an excellent soldier. Her callsign was 'Delta-2'., and she seemed nervous for her first mission with XCOM.

Standing next to Elise was a somewhat tall and lanky looking rookie, this was Lucas Griffin, the newest member assigned to XCOM. He didn't have much to his name, and he was as green as the grass in the countryside, but he made up for it in energy.

At the back of the group was a strange man wearing a full body combat suit, kevlar and ceramic plating lining the suit. This was Nikita Pavlovsky, or 'Tower' as he was known among his allies. By far the tallest of the group, he was wearing the heaviest armor of the team. As far as the others knew, he only spoke in short, terse sentences with long pauses in between them.

Each of them were ready for what was going to happen, yet none of them would know the dangers they were going to face.

Bradford had stepped up to the comms unit, pressing the key to communicate with Delta Team. Each of them were awaiting orders at the end of the Skyranger's landing ramp, ready to take on the mission.

"Alright team, a rain of extraterrestrial objects have struck the German Area, it's our job to investigate these disturbances and make sure what's going on." He started, before handing the position over to you.

"Awaiting orders Commander." Elise stated, and you began to start.

-[x] reconnoitre. Advance with caution.

Eldar's quiet embarrassed indignation that they are once again a servant race will be amusing to no end

the eldar would be clones of the original, in fact none of them would even remember their own lively hood...plus with how powerful they are why would the ethereal's need humanity?

Arachnids...

Starship troopers style...horrifying in numbers and weak enough for the ethereal to enslave once they get a brain bug or two.
