You brush yourself off and stretch out - well, everything. The wings are a new sensation; somehow, they don't seem to be overburdening you.
Your jeans seem to have survived the building collapse, but your backpack is now a single strap sort of dangling on your shoulder and your shirts have definitely seen better days. You pull of the remains of the flannel you were wearing and the last bit of backpack and head down the street.
You're in what would, on a normal day, be one of the most populated areas of downtown. The giant roaring -- he sounds like he's in some pretty intense pain back there -- and the man shouting at him seem to have cleared the streets out pretty well. Probably for the best, considering your current state.
You hear the giant shout Tempero Tlacatl Nu, Ice-man and you hear the ice-wielding guy manage a choked off Buli Kwxe Rho
One of those words really sings to you (you'll be able to use it quite well) and one of them really sounds discordant (you won't be able to use it at all)

It's not like you have far to go - just a couple blocks - and it's not like you have a secret identity - but there you are, about to duck down the alley into the back of the cafe, and she's still there, still following you.
Do you:

I had problems with it months and months ago, when I first read Addergoole. Some of it worked – the actual story bits – but a lot of other bits didn't. Might just be a me thing, I've got two different blockers going, but none of them seemed to say they were blocking anything.
(On the other hand, archive.org worked, so who knows)
